Lydia scowled. God, she was angry. Why couldn't this guy just leave her alone? Was he just some lovesick idiot or something? Well...she'd fix that soon enough.

Ignoring what he said, she moved to a chair next to a table and dropped herself into it, resting her legs up on the table, and swinging her head back, as if bored.

Shrum noticed something about Lydia...she was still acting very strange. As if she wasn't changing back. He attitude was still cold...

"Hey Lydia, I need to talk to you about something...mind if I take a seat?" He didn't wait for an answer and sat down anyway.

"I don't give a damn about your name! Look, you have obviously found something that gives you amazing power, and I'm fine with that...however said power is cleary derived from darkness and corruption. This isn't good, not to mention" Shrum ripped the bandages covering his mouth area. He wanted to make sure his point got across. "You've become a complete and total bitch with a lack of respect for everything! You nearly killed him!" Shrum was furious. "If you don't unfuse with that bear soon the corruption may very well take over..." His voice echoed as time appeared to slow down "So hurry up." He then reched out and put a small ruby cross in Isabelle's hand, as he chanted another strange incantation. "Face your sins...or they may face you..." With that everything returned to normal, as if nothing happened.
"Like I said, show a little mercy, K?" He then pulled out a small black book and began to read.

"Miss Isabelle. Femme Fatale extrodinaire."
Clapping his hands in a slow applause, he walked in the scene. Smug look on his face, he had a smirk, watching Isabelle. Attention was then turned to Shrum.
"You. Leave. I have business with this one." Orochi then turned to the ice maiden.
"I won't say any stupid movie-related lines, but I'll get down to business on this. You survived the implanting of the Kohryu in your system and it isn't going to leave till either you conquer it or it kills you. I'll get into more detail once the fool leaves." Hands then went into the jacket pockets as he looked at Isabelle, eyes burning with anticipation.

"Fool? Please. In case you haven't noticed I happen to know a thing or two about mystic relics and bloodline power...then again I also know a few things about dark forces overtaking young women for the simplicity of making a fight "interesting..." Shrum took back the ruby cross and could feel vauge information come to him. "Ah...according to this something tried to overtake Lydia/Isabelle during the fight. Nothing good either." Shrum took the ruby and stomped it into the ground "But I already knew that. So unless you care to explain what the bloody hell you're up to we may need to clean up more than the battle ground" 'Still, outside fighting doesn't seem like a good idea, but for the sake of Lydia, not to mention Kory, I will do what I must.'

"Not for the ears of those outside the bloodline. Get out." Orochi simply cut a hole in the space and kicked him in it. It teleported him right to the hot dog booths.
"That idiot does not know what and who he is dealing with. However, Isabelle here needs my help for sure. The Kohryu hasn't killed her yet so she has tons of potential."
"You'll be able to use more than Ice. Refuse if you like, but there's no escaping what needs you can fulfill with such power that will give you the ability to see your desires met. Whether or not you want to, you will need my assistance. I'm being a lot more generous towards you than the idiot who doesn't shut up. So I think you may wish to consider. I'll trigger the second stage of the Kohryu within you in your next fight. Are you willing to go with that?"

Hubris had gotten thirsty, and had made his way from chatting with Rahfka to the concession stands. What had really made him confused was the names and amount of possible drinks they had. Considering how he had originally wanted water, he stuck with that, but had been tempted to go for things like 'Sprite' or some of the 'Bud'-brand alcoholic drinks. [i]'Maybe next time~'[i] He thought eagarly to himself, wondering if these brands tasted as good as they looked or sounded.

While he always told himself that he wasn't a man of superstition, his greatest advantage was how fate seemed to tip him off all the time...more or less as a result of his 'gift', but mainly his luck.

He would curse his luck later, as it meant dropping his drink in the end result, but he just so happened to be in the direct path from the portal that Orochi cast Shrum through.

((Forgive me if I am godmodding at all, it sounded like a bit too much in my own opinion, but I never can tell.))

Minny finally made down to the ring, completely out of breath. "I'm- ha haa haa - I'm here n-now" Minny said just before collapsing to the ground. She didn't care if she looked weak and frail. "Don't worry about me - huff - I'm ready to fight whenever." Minny said sitting back up.

Shrum landed on top of Hurbis with a thud

"Damn him. That smug bastard thinks he can pull this now?...Oh hey Hurbis" Shrum got up off of Hurbis and dusted himself off. "Sorry, but Orochi is playing dirty and somehow kicked me here...oh hey food." Shrum ordered a large pretzel and many hot dogs

"Again, sorry for squashin' you...but maybe you can help me with something. I need information on Orochi. What exactly is he? He isn't human, and he doesn't seem to have any special weapons or items giving him strength. Can you help me?" Shrum then reached into his cloak and pulled out his black book "I'll share some info with you in return."

After swearing a bit about his fallen comrade, the water bottle, Hubris listened to Shrum's proposition.
"So," He said slowly. "He was cheating. I saw his eyes at one time, across from where I was sitting last match, as they flickered an ill light... does that mean anything?"
'Damn, when the hell did I get so poetic?'
"A-anyways, don't worry about my hurt ego, I am called Hubris, eh? So what do you want assistance with? I'd be glad to help if it gave me even a slim chance to give that cheat a taste of his own medicine... in the final round."

"He must've given Lydia the boost then, and whatever power he has he is still giving her..." Shrum sighed in anger "What I need you to do is give me any and all the information you can on Orochi. I'm fairly certain he was here for the last tourney, so they may have some information on him. Then, we have to break that dark hold he has on Lydia." He then gave Hurbis a page from his black book. It was a summary of some of the basic spells of his order, and provided information about the small crosses. It said that they are what remains when a member of the ministry dies. They contain the most defining skill that said member had. "This is just a sample from this book. It contains more information about mystic powers, lore, and relics than any other book you could think of. It is updated every other day." Shrum gave Hurbis a sly look "Combine this, with all the information you have collected and you could very well consider yourself an expert on mystic fighting." Shrum then took the page back "You will recive a copy of this book, and a cross of your choosing if you help me. This is a very special oppertunity and you'd be a huge help to me, so what do you say?"

"Like I said, I would be glad enough to help simply get a chance to give this, or any power hungry monster, the ultimate karmic justice." Hubris said. He took a look at the page he now held. "Though having a neat little trump card like this would really help in the future."

Hubris took a second to think, then came up with something.
"If you remember back during your match, I think, when the ground shook and dark steam shot from the floor... I went to follow what I thought was the source of the surge." He said, eyes closed in remembrance. "I can't track energy, or auras, or anything of that sort naturally, but it was still strong enough for me to find the source as it traveled from under the stadium instantly to somewhere outside. I managed to break through a window and find Orochi and Sakuya chatting by this hotdog stand... I am rather certain that Orochi is the one to pull whatever stunt happened underground."

"Considering that I know nothing about this man personally, it would be a fair game to say that the girl he was with, Sakuya, just might... they seemed familiar with each other. It may be good to look for her and see if she would be willing to tell us about him."

As a slight after thought, Hubris pulled something from the inner folds of his trenchcoat. It was a moderately large mirror, circularly round, the diameter about the same length of a human's head from jaw to cranium, that being the best way to describe it. There was absolutely nothing special about it: aside from it's interesting design and the thick bronze back on it, it had no magic or spells attached to it.

"Tell me... you know of mystic artes and the like, does this mirror or anything similar seem familiar to what you know?" Hubris asked, cautiously.

"Indeed...this is part of a set I think...It's about as strong as an extremely sturdy sheild, and if memory serves, it may have the semi reflective property...the power to redirect certain attacks to an extent." Shrum rubbed his chin "Though I'm curious about this. These aren't exactly common things, and to be honest I'm surprised you have it...It's probably somewhere in my book, but you will be able to check it out after we find Sakuya."
He began to walk away, but then decided something
"Hurbis, could you come with me? I just realized that the last time I tried to talk to someone Orochi knew I got kicked through a hole...heh..." He reached for his sack of treasures "and if you come I'll let you sample some of the tomes of my brothers and sisters past." 'Hopefully he takes bribes. She is one tough lady and I'm not in my best shape'

He was now interested in these mirrors of his past more than before: if they had existed in ancient times, that meant that his receiving them in his own present was related to magics, not just whatever events that happened to him. Still, it left more questions than answers in relation to--

"Sure, sure, I'll come help ya talk to ladies." Hubris said in a cynical voice, returning the mirror to somewhere beneath his coat. "Maybe I should try chatting with her first, okay? If anything, I know how NOT to get kicked in the face."

"What I need? About myself?" Hubris said. He thought for a second about what this could be or mean.
"Well, whatever it may be, I don't want it to be the defining moment if I need to use it combat. As far as physical skills go, I am set to my own groove... well, if this is your way to get to know me, sit down and listen up." He paused to take a breath, his big grin proving himself to be joking around. "I am not from here (can't go into details, paradoxes and what-not), I have no memories past a certain point, where I woke up and found thes-- this mirror of mine. It has been chronologically a long time for me since then, not exactly sure of the time. If it makes any difference, I know a lot of weird people from where I am from, and a few good friends-- though I killed one at one point, it was too long of a story to explain, suffice to say things worked out in the end."

Pausing for a moment, he debated about telling the existence of his problem. "I have a slight condition, that makes some teleportations dangerous for me: not like how you fell through the hole, but those instantaneous, matter transport kind, the whole poof! Gone. Poof! There out of thin air, kind. I think I almost died from it once or twice... I keep bouncing back, though." He paused again to look at Shrum. "You are no doubt confused as hell, are ya?"

"In a way, no, but at the same time yes...tell you what...I think I know what you need. This is still your choice, but I think this can work out..." Shrum pulled out a clear diamond cross.
"This one is special...that girlfriend? She was drastically tainted with radiation and sprouted wings...to be honest I met her after that. I made her an honourary member. Where I'm from, super humans are quite common." Shrum spoke harshly

"I hated every single one of them...except her. We never revealed our true names and we swore not to until the city was clean. Her hero name was Gaurdian...and around those parts most people called me S...in a tragic turn of events...she was killed. Killed by the man that made me who I am today..."
"That man was a damn super hero. He killed her because she wasn't strong enough to defend the city...at least in his eyes." Shrum began shaking "That man is dead. A former ally destroyed him..."

"Knowing the history of this cross will make it's power stronger. It is the cross of purity...it allows focus and concentration. If you were to fire a gun while holding this, you wouldn't miss, if you fought someone...well that depends on you." Shrum stood and held it before Hurbis. He kneeled and prayed. Only this time in very clear English

"Man of confusion, a heart in dispair, the unkown is his past, his future, purity...take him in your care. Show him the way. Take him under your wing sweet angel...so he may find his way...
He rose to his feet and handed Hurbis the cross "This will guide you into finding yourself...Among other things it takes away the fear of the unkown, and will allow you to find true strength." Shrum looked into his sack. He saw crossed of many different shapes and colors. Each one told a story...each one held a memory...

((Btw, I'm not just making up random cross ideas. I'm making a comic and have a list of these and what they do. Purity actually had other effects such as flying and running speed, but for the sake of this I nerfed all of them. Blue for example, has the effect of making mist and haze, but I just stuck that as another power. Red could reveal any lie, but I nerfed it to bits of information. Just some fun facts :gant:

Hubris said, staring into the glimmer of the object he now held in his hand. "You know, the reason I can't... nah, it's not important, dude. Hopefully I'll get back my stolen memories, but honestly, it doesn't hurt so badly being amnesiac. Anyways, we should find that girl."

He put the cross into the pocket of his pants, and started walking back to the stands, signaling for Shrum to follow.

As for Sayuka (That's SaYUKA, lol) Mizushima herself, she woke up not too long ago and was tuning into the fights. Her body was weakened, however, due to the intense battle with Orochi, and had bandages wrapped around various areas of her body from injuries. She also suffered some blood loss, so she was in no condition to fight for a while.

Even though she lost though, she had to admit, she liked Orochi's style. She then heard of there being a special guest... she had no idea it was that guy. Huh. So he's here after all... looks like Orochi may have his hands full... if they aren't full with the other guys. It made her curious to see what else could happen.

He looked out and saw the fight starting "A little confident eh? Hopefully she doesn't end up on the bad side of 'truth'." Shrum laughed and explained "Oh right, I gave Kory a cross as well. 'Truth'. Kory is also a brother in Light now, so treat him like...well...a brother I suppose." Shrum thought about that. He had new brothers in Light. Probably the first ones in years. He couldn't help but smile wide, even though his questions about Orochi still lingered.

Isabelle stared at Shrum curiously. Then, she let out a mirthless screech of laughter as he handed her a small ruby in the shape of a cross.

"So I got a little pick me up from the forces of evil. So what? It's sooooo much fun, after all! And if you even THINK I will show mercy to anyone here...you're very sadly mistaken!" She gave a shrill laugh.

"Now...why don't you quit interfering and leave before something bad happens to you, hm~" She giggled, and then noticed that Orochi had approached her. Her eyes suddenly widened and she seemed fearful. She then turned her head away, and her hair suddenly began to turn back to it's normal colour of chestnut brown.

"...That bear...I received...it a few days ago. In...the mail. Yet...it was you, wasn't it? You sent it to me..." Her voice was becoming more like Lydia and less like the heartless Isabelle.

"I get it now...you...just wanted someone as a...test...right...?" Her voice began to weaken, becoming more timid.

Then, she turned to Orochi.

"I accept."

Then, her hair turned back to it's normal colour, and her eyes were a kind beautiful green again. Then, Lydia fell from her chair to the ground; she had fainted.
