I don't really understand why it seems that way. I'm myself one of those who doesn't really want to have sex with random people. I want to wait until I find the right one for me and then do it after we've been married. Or at least a really long time because that shows me that the girl I'm going to share my life isn't with me just to get sex, but because she really loves me. Sex isn't everything afterall.

Geez Nego, stop stealing my thoughts!!! Lol. For the most part, that's what I would do too. Second half, I kinda don't agree with though because I believe in the sacred union of marriage and the only girl I will ever have sex with will be my wife.

I feel sorry for you Yuu, attracting all those horny jerks. I really hope you can find a nice and sweet guy who will like you for who you are and not just want you for sex. There are nice guys out there, but I think they are getting harder and harder to find. I will be hoping for you that you will find your someone special though!

One thing that's refreshing is hearing from some guys who aren't typical 'internet males'. =P It can seem that most guys online are pretty chauvinistic...I guess the whole 'boobies one click away' thing attracts them like flies.

It seems to apply to some girls, as well, the whole obsession with sex. I'm 19 years old and people look at me funny or pity me when I say I'm a virgin. >> Why is it a bad thing to NOT have sex? To me, a shared emotional attraction is a much higher priority.

Haha, this is like public PMing. :D

I've noticed that people with experience from that field get along a lot better - they've seen how corrupt humanity is, how cruel humans can be regardless of sex, race, language, religion - and age. The conciousness may differ, but most of us carry the potential to be cruel, and depending upon the injustice we feel is dealt to us (in whatever form, even boredom), we can draw outrageous satisfaction from inflicting damage of any nature in return. Some of us just choose not to let it get that far. I hate hurting. I hate hating. I believe that nothing deserves as much attention as to possess you to the extent you're willing to act violently.
That's probably why I've always grown sad over things instead. :(

Rumours... A ton of things have been said about me - the most damaging probably of sexual nature, and there's nothing you can do to shield yourself from them. Almost anything will appear to confirm them. Wild denial? Explanation? Ignorance? I've been called promiscuous - completely unsubstantiated stuff, really. I'm saving myself for the right person, actually.
The person that spread it was one of the new guys at school, as was I, and claimed I had been involved with two fellow students previously. My school is in a very small village, and.. it's really quite the coterie. They barely allow people in the circle of trust. The person spreading the rumor wanted to be more attractive- and hell, since when have scandalous reports not made a person more interesting? A large branch of media lives from that alone.

In comparison, not much physical abuse happened during my time in high school. Then mainly the mental started - but really, either is terrible. I think I've been so scared that not once in about five years I've raised my hand to answer a question. In retrospect, as crude as it may sound, it made me a better person - now I know exactly what type of person I DON'T want to ever be, I know not to trust easily and not to give my heart away on first sight. I wish I had younger siblings that I could teach some of it and be there for, but well, seems I was blessed with three older brothers instead. Now that they're all out of the house, we get along better. A lot better :P

--Minor legend! Me?! My literature reviews are usually the outburst of "oh DANG this is AWESOME, quick, what do I write?!?!" - and that's not only because I'm overwhelmed by the talent on the CR boards! I'm used to writing constructive criticism in other languages, but practical and formal English is still..beyond my grasp, to be realistic. I..guess I'm able to make myself understood and I've picked up an accent that's somewhere between Scotland and an exotic place that doesn't exist (or so people from London and Liverpool (.....I can hear you laughing even a thousand miles away) have said), but.. yeah, practical application/connotation really isn't my thing yet XD I'd love to move to another (preferably English-speaking) country sometime, though. The Uni I want to go to has a lot of exchange programs- I can't wait to pick up the fine details, the culture, subtle humour, all the puns... Health troubles made me miss out on this year's study trip to London. I hate myself for it :(

I appreciate the open-mindedness of this community so much... Barely anywhere on the internet can you say you come from (I spent most of my life here, but am not fully German myself) this country. History has it, and the vast majority of retarded representatives on the internet doesn't add to a good image either. Haha.

@Eximplode: I agree. I see no shame in being a virgin. Society is partly to blame though for all that emphasis on having to have sex to fit in. I totally disagree with that. Sex should be something special between you and the one you love, not something you give away to every Joe, Bob, and Billy you meet. I have no shame to admit that I am indeed a virgin. And if I never get a girlfriend or get married throughout my life, I'm not afraid to die as a virgin either. I'd rather keep my purity than to give it up to some complete stranger just for the sake of saying that I am not a virgin.

@Yuu: You are very welcome!!! ^.^

I hear ya loud and clear on the whole "I'm a virgin" thing. I remember on my 16th b-day, at school this girl asked me who I'm going to.... "do it with" tonight (night of my b-day) I said "I'm, like so not doing that <_<" ...... You should've seen the look she gave me, like I was abnormal.

And it really gets to me in problem pages in magazines/newspapers that a 16 or 17 year old says "I'm still a virgin" ...... Still a virgin? You're 16 and you're still a virgin? ONOES YOU MUST BE ABNORMAL <_<

.... Lol, I finished both paragraphs with abnormal... [/pointless blab]

Interesting. So far the thread gathers good outcome(s), I presume.

Oh, sorry... :sadshoe: But I must steal your thoughts again, as I do hope I will lose my virginity not before I get married. That's the thing I intend to do, but then again, I can't say anything for sure yet.

I've never really fit into the chauvinistic man definition. I've always respected women as much as men and I won't do otherwise. And I have never understood what draws men (or women) into porn, but then again, everyone is an individual and everyone does what they want to do.

By the way, this all just reminds me why I've never drawn girls towards me. Me being more feminine than other guys might have something to do with that... :gumshoe:

@Nego: Lol!!! Its ok! It really is great to see someone who thinks like me a whole lot on this topic. It really is a great feeling though to know that I am not the only one who feels this way about this certain subject. I dunno if I have said this or not, but I am glad you created a topic like this. It gives people the chance to just let it all out! And don't fret about not being into such masculine things. I'm not that keen on them myself. I'm more of an artsy/gaming nerd myself. I'm not into the whole sports thing or anything like that either.... except maybe baseball! lol.

@Kyo: There isn't. Its just society and all the pressure they want to give you. They give you an impression nowadays that if you want to fit in, you can't be a virgin. I know that's how it feels here in the U.S. Virginity used to be a sacred thing to have back in the old days, but now they make it seem as something you should just go around and throw away carelessly. It really makes me sick.

I just want someone that understands me and considers my input....all the people I've been with seemed to only think of themselves and what they wanted, thus making me miserable.

There is no need for that and that's why I don't want to lose my virginity before marriage. In my opinion it's also pretty pointless to jump to bed with someone you're not going to live the rest of your life with. If you wait 'til you're married, you know the person you're with is with you because she/he loves you and not the sex.

ExImplode07 fainted, use next pokemon? lol XD

I didn't faint, but I DID nearly fall out of my chair when I saw you badmouthing your own English skills. I did English Language for my A-levels (pre-university studies), and you used a word I've never even seen, in exactly the right context. I'm talking about 'coterie' - I had to get my dictionary and look it up! If you shocked an English Language major out of her seat, I think you need to stop being so modest. XD

And your accent sounds interesting - I did laugh, but more because of the "Are you KIDDING me!?" reaction I had to what you said before that. Deary deary me. And I'm not ignoring the rest of what you said - I'm just trying to keep this short because you're right, it IS like public PMs. XD;; (I write long ones too)

And...

@Everyone who quoted me, I'm glad other people agree. :3 There is way too much emphasis on sex in society, and it seems to have happened so fast...I remember when I was a kid, 'sexy' was a really dirty word. Now, my mother works at a pre-school, and she has little 3-yr-olds coming in with bare midriffs and makeup (I wish I was joking, I really do...), and saying "Don't I look sexy, Mrs. Byrne?".

I think some of the guys who aren't all 'BOOBS, HURR' are hiding away because they think they might offend people. I mean...my friend Scotty has been told off by women a few times just because he held doors open for them. :sadshoe: No wonder people think chivalry is dead.

@Fooly particularly, EW. That's nasty. XP I mean, I got some funny looks when I said I turned 16...but...good grief, do people not know the meaning of shame anymore?

And @Nego and Dully. Your masculinity isn't defined by if you eat steak or play sports or wrestle bears for fun. Being a man is...well, Rudyard Kipling's poem 'If' puts it in a good way.

I would personally love to learn to cook so my wife (if she knows how to cook and if I ever get one.) wouldn't have to cook all the time. I really do want to be useful to her and not treat her as just a housewife either. I really pray though that this will not be all bark and will have some bite to it because I know some guys will change and show their laziness around the house after they've been married for quite sometime. I don't want to wind up being one of those guys.

1) Three thumbs up, dullahan, that's a very respectable attitude. You guess why I cook three warm meals for my family every day, and that's my family at home. You do get funny looks for it, especially when you whip up an emergency three-course meal for visitors within twenty minutes. XD I just think it's important to be able to manage a household on your own. Expecting your partner to do so because you can't be arsed or are too lazy to learn.. that's very low, in my opinion.

2) Whoever believes sex is the way to get accepted by society can burn in hell.

3) BOOBS, HURR

4) <3 ExImplode. TO THE POKéCENTER! QUICK!

:sob: in Malaysia, they expect the WOMEN to do EVERYTHING (pleasing the hubby & members of his family, cooking, laundry, household chores, raise the kids, groceries, tending the garden, bathe/feed/look after the pet(s), guard the house when hubby's not home, secretary/assistant/hubby's wall of defense (i.e: when people wanna flame/blame or are being rough because they're mad at your hubby, they turn to you!!! :beef: )

I hate Malaysian typical men for that! And apparently many other girls/ladies think the way I do.... searching for possible candidates as bf/partner or if possible (in grownups only) fiancee --> hubby/soulmate outside of the country (which is Malaysia). Even if there are many of them who are not categorised as 'typical Malaysian men' as above, sadly THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS ARE!!! They drive you up the sky (no wall/ceilling as to show how depressing the society is!!!!). I might be kicked out of the country for saying this, but then again..... heh, the Government can't do that to me! I'm under 21 as I am only 16!! But they might send me to boarding school for juveniles instead of me continuing my regular boarding school....
:sadshoe:

Hell, they won't do that unless someone reports my opinions... I know you guys won't do that to me, yeah *butz?

I don't want to wind up being one of those guys.

Again like I was reading my own thoughts. :meekins:
I would love to do things for the person I end up married with. I'd like to cook and clean the house and all that, but I have problems: I can't really cook (I really have even failed cooking potatoes :payne: ) and I have asthma and allergies, so it's a Hell when I start cleaning. All the dirt I have to deal with while cleaning makes me sick. :sadshoe:

@Kyo: That really sucks. I do gotta say what I do like about my country (U.S.A.) is that they do give women equal rights and don't treat women like slaves or property. Don't worry, I won't report you either! lol. I really hope your future is alot brighter and you will find a great boyfriend and marry into a great family so you won't have to live the life that you just described. Seriously, I can't understand why people have to treat women like that in some of these countries. I'm against all sexism and what not. I think everyone should be given a right to be treated equally and fairly. I hate it when people act as if the men are superior to women. I mean geez, they can do anything guys can... and they give birth, which I know has gotta be the most painful experience out there. Basically, women have to go through more than what men do, so why is it that in some places they are still treated like crap? This world is absolutely screwed up and I can't stand it. To sum it all up, I think that you should treat others the way you would like to be treated. It would be nice if we could all follow this rule!

Sorry about the wordy post! Its just a bunch of rambling! lol.

We're treated like crap because we are seen as the weaker species; only good for making food and babies.
Some men in America still see us that way....

"Short, shy 20 year old girl wanting relationship with a female who is kind & understanding. Non-smoker, GSOH. Online or RL, jokey or serious. Please contact me by... doing something..."

<_<'' Sorry, I felt like doing that XD
I'm having random moments O_o;

I have to say, it's really refreshing to see men who want to see women treated fairly. Guys at my school, jokingly or not I don't know, were going on about "women stay in the kitchen" and whatnot. I've never met men who want equal rights for women. Well, when I'm speaking to men on the subject at least.

Wow. Someone just told me that if I want to find someone, anyone, that fits what I want...you know someone who will listen to me and not just be about themselves, to cast a wide net....

....Maybe I'm too naive but that just bugs me...

I wont deny, I joke about that every now and then with one of my friends, but we definitely aren't trying to make fun of females when I do it...I'm targeting the racist/sexist bastards who thought that white males were at the top of the status quota with said comments.

(Not quite what and who you were asking, but if I may)...I look for a smart girl, one with personality. In my opinion, good looks are a bonus, not a necessity. I have plenty of non-supermodel-esque female friends who I love the world out of. Hell, a lot of guys in my school would be better suited being the ones making food and babies.

@Kyo: Yes I can!!!

Let's see.... type of girl I'm looking for. One who I can trust and talk to about anything. Hopefully I can be someone she can trust and talk to about anything too. Same religion as me. Yea, the religion thing is important for me because I know so many couples who have broken up because they have different religions. A good sense of humor, loves me for who I am, accepting of my family and vice-versa for her's, and another big one...... A VIRGIN!!! I think I may have more and maybe my standards are too high, but this is around what I am looking for. Most of all though, I really want her to be someone that I can have a complete honest and trusting relationship with and she'll have a family that me and my family can get along with real well as well. I just hope I don't sound like I'm too demanding as to what I am looking for, I am really trying not to be...

The girl I'm looking for looks interesting, is my type, likes about the same things I like (and something extra things I can learn from her and something she can learn from me), feels the same way about me than I feel about her, is a virgin, is not afraid of conmitment, wants to wait until marriage before having sex. And of course she should be funny and someone I could talk with. And didn't smoke cigarrettes or stopped smoking because of me.

Am just 16. Obviously a virgin. Haven't had the slightest idea of sex & I think it is overrated over there (i.e: the Western countries).

In my hometown, virginity is most common. People who don't have it because of pre-marital doodahs are scorned upon, and they rarely return (they stay in the city because of the humiliation they carry with them in case they were to stay here)...

P/S: What do you people think of our first SLP? Hehehehe, credit for the animation & gloomy effect goes out to Naru, who's away for the whole week. Maybe will return later next week.

I would'nt care if my girl (or boy, I'm open to any possibility) was a virgin or not. If she was a girl who I was willing to really get into a relationship with, I wouldn't let her past experiences get in the way.

Although I don't think too much of drugs and alcohol.
