Steel was alive, and, as incredible to him as to others, he didn't feel any physical harm, but he still felt his life trying to escape from him. He saw Shadow suffocating Exo, and him, lying in the ground, not being able to stand up.
He saw his last chance: The huge metal bar he had used to kill those zombies. It was behind him, 50 feet away. He lifted his arm as much as he could, and lifted the metal bar.
"TAKE... THIS!!!", he shouted, in the exact moment when the metal bar swinged Shadow out, faster than he could have dodged, and wrapped him in the air, essentially, his face, covering his vision.
He could see Exo kneeling, hardly breathing. He had done what he could...
Steel fell: he hadn't noticed, but he had stood up when he hit Shadow with the metal bar-club. But he was now lying down, unconcious. He could still breathe.

Ophelia sat there, stumped. She was thinking of things to defeat shadows. A sun? Flashlight? she thought, but that will create more shadows..... unless.... She took out a yellow marker from her side pocket and drew 4 circles with little dashes from them. "Cover your eyes!"

She was panting, and her lungs hurt with each breath she took. She kept running, stopping once she was in front of Steel. That's when the zombies began surrounding them. She did not budge to leave Steel's side as she started darting around, knocking down every zombie around her. Then, she realized one of them picked up her katana. She disappeared and reappeared in the same place she was, her sword in hand. Now it was truly time to do everything she could for Steel as she circled the area around Steel in a flash, cutting the zombies in half. She was sweating and panting and getting slower by the second. It wouldn't be long before she was no longer able to run at such amazing speeds, she realized as she slashed at the zombies, hoping to get rid of all of them.
"Cover your eyes!" she heard Ophelia shout, so Exo momentarily stopped fighting and coverend her eyes with one hand, Steel's with the other.

Xavier swore. Was he too late? No, they were still fighting. He looked over to where Zarran was fighting Jacob. He frowned at some of the things they were saying. It sounded almost as if they were very familiar with each other's movements and attacks. Come to think of it, they looked awfully alike. The same black hair, the same blue eyes, heck, they could be brothers.
(On that note, do you want some thing like that?)

Exo was still in a lot of pain, but she knew she was right. She couldn't afford to think now. She had to concentrate on getting Steel away safely for the time being, which proved to be very difficult, since she could hear commotion all around her, and therefore had no clue which way would take them both to safety. She wondered if she could open her eyes yet...

He wouldn't do that. If he wanted to kill you, he would have let Shadow do it himself. Or have you forgotten that he saved your life?
What if he was only saving you to take suspicion off him?
That's ridiculous. Besides, even if he is a traitor, which he isn't, doesn't he deserve to live anyway? Wouldn't you be as bad as a traitor would be if you left him to die? Now, enough of this foolishness. Save him while you still have a chance.

Still barely able to keep her thoughts straight, and getting extremely tired of the pain, she shouted, "You don't know him like I do!" She ran at full speed away from any danger she heard.

In all the confusion Mr. Anonymous had decided to slip into his universe, you watch what has happening... He watched as Zarran 'chatted' with Jacob, he watched as Shadow was downed, and he watched as Died manipulated Exo... He reappeared next behind Died... "You know... I bet she'd be easier to manipulate while unconcious..." He smirked, and waited for Died to respond.

Jacob, taking advantage of Zarran distraction at his friend falling, glanced around. Steel, Exo, the mercenary and the psychic were gone. He hesitated, wanting to press the advantage, before turning back to the battle and launching himself at Zarran.
Zarran felt Xavil collide with him. He smirked inwardly. It was too easy to press his brothers buttons. He only smiled cruelly. "what are you waiting for?" he whispered softly "Do it."
Jacob shook. It'd be so easy, just one stroke, and his nightmares would be gone, his friends would be safe, the world would be safe, but he wouldn't, couldn't kill his little brother. He turn and ran to help Exo and Steel, but even as he ran, he knew that many would die, all because he was too afraid to kill.
(Do you want this as a plot element? Them being brothers? PM me with your answer please.)
Xavier darted out to help Zarran up. "You OK?" "I'm...ow...fine"

She was no longer listening to him...She wanted to vent. "He would never betray me! If I kill him, I will betray myself!" If you want to vent, do so by getting out of there. You can yell at him later. You can attack him later. But Steel's life is too important right now.
She sped off so fast, she disappeared. Never before had she gotten such a rush as she darted away from the fight.

He took one glance at it and froze. "This is his necklace. Is he..." "If not, he's been captured, but I don't think they're that type of people. Either he's dead, or he really is the traitor."

Exo absentmindedly looked up at the sky as she ran, only to see a gigantic bird flying overhead ((Since I'm assuming Ophelia caught up to them by now.)). She stopped dead in her tracks almost immediately, nearly dropping Steel in the process as she pulled out one of her guns and aimed it at the bird, not knowing whether it was carrying a friend or a foe.
