Jay and Jeremy were out for a walk in RandomTownPlaceVille...Thing...Field, and were just enjoying the day. But like all good RP introductions, not all goes normally!
"'Ey, what's this? Phoenix and Trucy Wright are having an 'awesome party'?" Jeremy commented while the brothers were walking past a random telephone pole.
"What?" Jay asked, pulling the flyer off of the pole, "Huh, that's what it looks like. 'Aven't heard from Nick in years."
"Why don't we go look into this... party?" Jeremy suggested. "Maybe we'll see some of your old friends there!"
"Ha, good idea! Let's go," Jay agreed, noting the address on the flyer. "I know where that is! So, shall we get there the traditional way, or the over-the-top super-awesome all-futuristic-like way?"
"How else?" Jeremy retorted to Jay's question with a sarcastic tone. The brothers then unstrapped their hoverboards (which they always carried around with them for some odd reason), switched them on, and mounted them. They kicked up the thrust via a foot switch near the front of the board and began their trek to Phoenix's place, stopping by their house to pick up a few things for the party, like pillows and sleeping bags and that sort of thing. Before they knew it, they were at Nick's place, coming up to the front steps.
"Alright, here we go!" Jay shouted as they got ready to jump up the stairs and through the front door. They performed it perfectly, Jay entering before Jeremy. As they entered the lounge, they quickly shut off the boards and jumped off of them, picking them up as they landed and strapping them back to their backs, behind the backpacks which contained all the stuff they just happened to bring with them.
"Hello everyone! We're here," Jeremy said, looking around to see who all was there.
"What's up?" Jay added, asking nobody in particular. There were a couple people he recognized, namely Phoenix and detective

Phoenix glanced aside for a moment, not sure how to answer Katty. Had she heard the news about the murder with him, Kristoph and Shadi?
"Well," Phoenix started, "The gig at the Borscht fell through a little do to me being involved with a murder. Customers stopped coming when they caught wind of the rumour of cheating, so I got the sack.... they didn't like my playing anyway," Chuckling, Phoenix gave a cheerful shrug, "That's life, though... right? You get framed, you get bowelled over by a car, and then you put on your cape and fight for criminal justice in a corrupt court system." Smiling knowingly, he couldn't let on his plans, as tempting as it was to let it all out. "I am taking piano lessons now though. You want me to play a jingle I've been learning?"

The brothers caught the image of Trucy hugging Wocky for a brief second as they entered the room, but not for long enough to think anything of it.
"Oh, hello Trucy, Wocky," Jay said with a wave, "Thanks for letting us know. We'll set our stuff down in there in a minute."
"Nice to meet you two," Jeremy said politely, waving as well. Jay then turned to Phoenix, who was talking to someone else that the brothers didn't recognize.
"Hello, Mr. Wright," Jay began, walking towards him, Jeremy just behind. "You probably don't remember me. Detective Jay Slezak," he said as he got out his badge from his belt-case and flashed it with a smile. "And this is my brother Jeremy," Jay added, looking towards Jeremy.
"How do you do, Nick? It's a pleasure to meet you," Jeremy greeted happily, pulling out his own badge and flashing it. "...Don't know why we did the badge thing, though," he added as they put their badges away simultaneously. The brothers knew it was going to be an interesting party.

Jay scratched his chin when Phoenix asked the question. "Nah, it was just a small case... You wouldn't remember it," Jay commented dismissingly, "Though you've never met Jeremy before."
"Yeah, I don't know you personally, but I know you're pretty famous... I heard they even made a video game about you... I think even a whole series of games! You've gotta be pretty well-known to have that happen," Jeremy explained.
"Yeah... I think I might have even played that game..." Jay said thoughtfully. "Anyway, we came here because we saw one of your flyers on a telephone pole. Nice job on that, by the way."
"Yep, very nice, though sorry to hear about that disbarment thing..." Jeremy added, "It was in all the papers, but our detective senses clicked when we read that article... We knew someone like you wouldn't do that on purpose, but that's all water under the bridge, right?" He didn't want to keep on it for long, because he figured it was a touchy subject. He turned to Lana and said, "Oh, greetings Lana, it's nice to meet you. Jeremy and Jay Slezak. Are you a friend of Phoenix's?"
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance," Jay also greeted.

"Broke the chains around her heart?" Jay thought aloud in response to Lana's words, but barely-audibly, "I didn't know that feature was in the first game--oh wait, sorry, sorry, never mind. Carry on!" Jay said the last part at normal volume before he and Jeremy started moving away, searching for others to talk to, but moving towards Trucy's bedroom to set down their bags.
