I have teary eyes just typing this. I hinted quite a lot, more so than I thought I would. I'm kinda proud that I managed that, but..... Nothing happened...
In fact, today I felt more sure that she's straight than I have in the past...

IAFF, you've gone farther then I ever have, and I think that it's a step in the right direction. The only advice that I can give to you, however harsh it seems, is to get over this girl. If shes not going to become infatuated with you now, chances are that she wont later. If you really like her, the best you can hope for is that you can remain friends. Grow strong and learn from what happened, and give yourself more chances like this...if you do that, someday, you are bound to find someone that you can work off of. Someone who wont reject you, or at least someone who won't say yes, but wont give you a straight no, someone who you can tell is holding back. Dont give up. I sound like one of those crappy motivational speeches now, so I'm gonna stop embarassing myself and you.
Also, I hope you dont mind me posting...I'm pretty new to this SLS thing

To be honest, I'm not sure about giving up just yet on her. It's not like I said "I like you, please have lunch with me" or anything. I hinted, I was trying to get her to do the asking out... It's not like we're good friends, heck, I don't even know her last name... Quite how I've come to fancy her without hardly knowing her is.... Well, it's my speciality. Although I will try to stop thinking about her so much, though that is so much easier said than done.
Maybe it is a motivational speech, but I appreciate what you said so much, it didn't embarass me whatso-ever. I'm really grateful for your post Brandon, you're not out of line for me.
