I thought I'd put this up and see what can be done with the aspect of fighting. Maybe I'll play around with it too or so. Sorry if this is so much to read, but there was a lot to mention.

If the RP in progress gets dropped, it can be declared a draw for all it's worth. No worries. No big deal.

Anyways, this topic is, for a lack of better explanation, for fighting around. Street fighting. Actually, y'know what? You can take it as a King of Fighters/Street Fighter/Tekken/Soul Calibur/Darkstalkers/ect. universal crossover with similar kinds of reality-defying physics and whatnot. Or you can be realistic.

If you don't want to bother with an original character, you can use any character from any game you want, doesn't necessarily have to be a fighting game, or even a game period. It honestly doesn't matter who it is, what game they're from or what gender they are. Wanna use Kyo Kusanagi? Ryu from Street Fighter? Morrigan of Darkstalkers? Terry Bogard of Fatal Fury? Go on ahead. Hell, for all I care, you can be friggin' Mario or Axel Stone from Streets of Rage. Or, hell, even Kinnikuman, Naruto, or Inuyasha or something. Think of it as a major multi-universal RP, a dream match, of sorts. And most of all, don't worry too much on how you play them, just play them. Everything is cool.

Let's keep some rules in mind though... let's not make a bunch of attacks that will kill someone instantly or mortally wound them (non-fatal wounding is fine, though), or attacks that would, say, drain the life out of a person. No godmoding, either. Keep it in control. Be fair. Play it cool~. The matches can end when you feel your character has sustained enough to want to quit or get knocked out. Think of it as writing a story, of sorts. Just don't make them seem as though they can last forever. You can make up new attacks or special attacks for actual characters if you wish to.

Storylines are allowed and as such one can be developed overtime if anyone wants that. Go nuts, it's all cool. Multiple characters are also OK.

And if you can, try to provide a descriptive post to your attacks. Try your best, if you can. Be as creative as you want with your attacks. You can include more than one attack in the post, think of it as stringing together a combo or something.

That's all I can think of. For now at least. If anyone's interested, feel free to jump in and do whatever. Any suggestions to help things along? Questions? Ask away on both accounts. If the character is an OC, I'll provide a profile skeleton that you can use for them. Carry down any characters from other RPs if you want. You can post them here or you can PM to me. Either way, I'll add them to the front page here.

History: Lydia seems to be quite a timid and weak girl, and very, very shy. She is, however, incredibly cute. Her parents died in a car crash when she was young, and so Lydia was looked after by her grandmother. Her grandmother made her teddy bear for her fifth birthday, which she dubbed Mr Cuddles. Strangely, the bear is still in perfect condition. It's not known why she entered the tournament, but she says to anyone who asks "For fun". She tends to be very apologetic when she beats or hurts someone.
Fighting Style: Mr Cuddles. Yes, you read that right. Her bear fights for her. Lydia focuses her mind to try and help Mr Cuddles fight. Lydia's grandmother is said to have known magic, so perhaps she enchanted the bear to life. It can either grow tall or it can take the form of another fighter.
Appearance: Brown curly hair, which falls to her shoulders. Green eyes, a white, sleeveless t-shirt, a plaid skirt which falls to just above her knees. She also wears brown boots that go up just past her ankles. She wears a bracelet made up of red beads, which is said to be her lucky charm.



Name: Minjuaeh Lyu (Min-HU-ay loo)

Appearance: Long neon green hair tied back into a ponytail. A simple orange tank top and jeans ripped off at the knees. Wears runners.
Personality: Kind and caring but is stubborn and will do whatever it takes to win.
Weapons: She holds grenades and switch blade knifes on her belt and the bones in her hands are rock hard so she can pack a punch. Usually prefers not to use weapons, but will if needed.
History: Coming from a rich family, Minjuaeh always got what she wanted, and always won. She participated in lots of sports in school and was very intelligent, graduating high school at only age 9. She never liked losing, but she didn't like it when everything was too easy either. Because of the disease in her hands that makes the bones stronger and harder to move, Minjuaeh decided to take up fighting as a new hobby.



Name: Orochi Kohryu (Current his name at the time. His true name is unknown.)

Appearance: Although with a muscular build, he doesn't seem so until he takes off his jacket. His skin is a seemingly copper tan, yet it looks natural. Hair is a grey-silver, eyes are as listed: red-right, green-left. he stands at a seemingly normal 6 feet, and radiates power now that he has the power of his core treasure under his control.
History: Unknown. Only thing that IS known about his history is that he has sought out and obtained the sacred treasures of martial artists around the world and through the ages. As for how long he's been doing it, that is also unknown.

African Fury: Like Chun-Li's lightning kick or E.Honda/Gen's Thousand Hand Slap.
African Moon: A ground-Trailing projectile.
African Twister: Spins while rising vertically with his knee jutting out. When he reaches top height, he does a diagonal falling kick.
Survival Tactics: A Counter move. He stands while crouching with his arms out, and if he gets attacked, he counters.
African Harpoon: Sort of a counter. He jumps back, then does a flying kick.
SUPER: African Hurricane: Like African Twister, only he does not levitate while spinning, and after spinning for a while, he finishes with a flying flame knee attack.
SUPER: Africa's Call: Same as African Fury, only he goes forward while doing it, and it is also stronger.

History: A wandering street fighter, Sayuka Mizushima is regarded as one of the more powerful users of psychic abilities. Her main use for these powers are in the form of energy blades that can become strong enough to cut iron, hence the name of her martial arts style and her nickname "The Human Sword". She really has no goal for her fighting, it's simply because it's her life's calling. Plus, it's the best way to support her life style, particularly from competing in underground and independent circuits or tournaments.
Personality: She is cool-headed, calm, jovial, and likes to occasionally tease her friends. However, she can be quite a smartaleck... especially in battle. Sayuka is also rather crafty and calculating when in a brawl, making her quite an intelligent fighter.
Appearance: Sayuka. It isn't shown, but she also wears black and white sneakers with those red pants.



Name: Shrum gui

Age: 17
Race: Human

Fighting Style: Jujitsu/ counter offense (Has a cross as a weapon)

History: Born to a group of monks, he was trained to be the bodyguard of the Ministry of light. the elite evil group enterprise placed a hit on his group, where his eyes were shot out. In a panic, the monks replaced his eyes with special stones, though having great power, they can drive a person to insanity or worse...he now wears bandages to conceal the power of his eyes. His job is to defend the meek without taking credit. Quite and merciful, he joins the tourney to test his might and meet new people.

Fighting Style: Counter/MagiReflect-Style; Uses special set of mirrors (8, about head-sized) as weapons.
Appearance: Considered as worn around the edges, with dark, messy, shoulder-length hair, and a cheerful disposition with a lazy smile. He usually has a long, ocean-green trench coat on with a special pin under his left lapel. Up until a certain point, his coat held the mirrors with a sewn on belt system, but recently, he rebuilt the belts to be on his body rather than attached to the coat, for convenience sake. Underneath the coat, he wears a tan shirt with a pair of blue-jeans, both worn with travel.
History: Originally from a point in the not-so-distant future, W. Hubris came to this tourney out of a sense of slight boredom (or so he says). In truth, he is an amnesiac, as to the events of his world up until a point, where he awoke without his memories, and got his weapon-set and an aching head. He prefers to not reference the future to much for the sake of time paradox, although it is honestly too late. In truth, his name is a pseudonym, "Hurbis" in relation to the mirrors and the honed-abilities he has with them. The "W" in his name relates to a combination of the pin he wears, and the need to have a first name to fill in on the tournament entry form (or so the woman in charge of forms said).

Been considering that.

I'd hate to fall back on such a cliche plot, but I'm having a hard time coming up with anything else.

I'll post that in a bit.

An ad is broadcasted worldwide all over television. A colorful advertisement than is even sent through flyers all around! An ad that talks about an anyone-can-join fighting tournament.

If you can fight good, then come on down and test your abilities against those who are as mighty as you are. Winner take all! It doesn't matter what your style is, who you are, what you are, or where you're from. If you think you've got what it takes, then head to the to the Hyperdrome Arena to join in the 10th Clash of Powers Tournament!

The Clash of Powers Tournament... highly regarded as one of the most strangest fighting tournaments known around the world. Namely because it is a place for ANYONE to fight... and yes, ANYONE. Big people, small people, fat people, skinny people, gods, goddesses, people from other time periods... yeah, that sort of thing. Don't ask how this happens. Nobody said reality applied to everything.

And of course... Clash of Powers tended to be a little more... extreme than most tournaments... for that reason, it has gained it's own amount of acclaim and has been running well for itself for the past 10 years... in spite of some, ehem, strange mishaps that have been occurring all around it each time. Mostly different, depending on the year and what was going on in that tournament.

This year, who will join? Who will be the one who defeats all the others and will be declared the Strongest Power? Only the tournament this year will tell...

Kory was walking home from school when he saw a flier on the ground. He picked it up and read it. A fighting tournament. Finally. Just what I've been waiting for. Now, I think I'll have to go to the Hyperdome Arena, he thought. A mischievious smile crept across his face as he called home on his cell phone. "I'm going to be late," he said. "There was a last-minute exam I have to stay after for."

Elsewhere, a strange man who looked like he was from another time period found a flyer himself and examined it... he looked like he came from an ancient Greek time, almost mystical, clad in armor and carrying a very large round shield on his padded arm... he was kind of handsome, in a way, though also tough-looking. His name? It was Rygar. He had one other name, but he was mostly known through his life simply as Rygar.

He didn't understand what brought him to this time, all he knows is that he fell into it... perhaps there was a purpose for it, he thought.

He noted that there was a tournament going on... he figured that perhaps, it might be a test of his strength. He was, after all, a gladiator. And he had the gut feeling that maybe he find some answers on how he got here or where he is by participating.

"I will get involved in this tournament. It may have some answers I seek..." With that, Rygar proceeded to head off to the Hyperdrome Arena, "Will I find strong opponents there...?"

Elsewhere, a woman dressed in red pants, matching bandanna, black and white trim gloves, goggles on her head, and a white tubetop with a leather belt strapped around her torso also found a flyer for the Clash of Powers tournament. She smiled... this could be interesting. She had heard of the tales of the fights that go on in this tournament, and maybe it was about time she got involved. Her name was Sayuka Mizushima, a renowned psychic fighter, though mainly around her town in her native Japan. Though she had a reputation in other areas outside...

"Oh, this should be fun~" She said to herself as she tossed the flyer over her shoulder and placed her gloved hands in her pockets, "I think... I'll have a look at this for myself. I just hope there'll be some entertaining fighters. I'd hate to be bored..."

"Heh. The sheep gather." Hands remained in the pocket of a man who had just stepped in the arena. For someone who had such a power burning within, he looked rather.. small. Yet his frame was rather built. He wore a jacket he always left open, a black leather jacket that only went to right below his chest. On the back were six gray circles all in the formation of the number six on a die. Atop them lay the words: Number Of The, and below them was the word Beast. He wore a black shirt underneath the jacket as his denim pants had leggings of the same color: Black. He wore a belt that had a silver buckle, plain. His fingerless gloves both had the same design as the jacket. His hair, the silver hair that made him stick out like a sore thumb was cut in a seemingly reckless manner, leaving it in a short, messy state. His eyes on the other hand were almost unnoticeable under those sunglasses he wore. The left green eye, the right red eye... both held a secret that was unknown to all but him. His blood.
Regardless of anyone who would try to defeat him, he would find out what the motive to this tournament was. His blood boiled for competition, for the rush of battle.

"Nice clothes," She spoke to the silver-haired man, grinning, "I like a guy who brings style to a battle."

At that same time, Rygar had entered from another place... he noted two other people there in the distance, their clothes alien to him... perhaps he just hadn't gotten used to this world yet. He assumed that they were here to fight as well... they looked like they would be strong opponents.

Probably strong enough to take down Titans.

Kory made it inside the Hyperdome. There were people everywhere. A Greek guy clad in armor, a woman and a silver-haired man striking up a conversation, and some more people that didn't really stick out. Kory tried to tell himself he could still win, but when he looked down at his staff, he knew he probably couldn't even hurt the Greek dude and had no clue about whether he'd hurt the others or not. He sighed. Then, took a deep breath to calm himself. You will still win, he thought.

Rygar felt as though he were being examined. He turned his head in the direction of Kory... saw he had a staff, too. A staff fighter! There weren't a whole lot of those where he came from. Most warriors of his ilk preferred... sharper weaponry.

He felt as though he himself were standing out among all the other people here. At least, so far, until other odd-looking people join, surely. Here he was, a man from a mythical, ancient realm, clad in gladiator's armor... cool as it all looked, he still felt misplaced here.

Once again, he felt reminded that maybe he fell here for a purpose. Perhaps after the adventure he had to save Argus, there was something more he had to do...

Rahfka had always been a very good fighter. When he heard about the tournament, he decided to test his skills. He payed out his ass to get to the tournament. 1000 dollars in african currency. He had to pay for a plane, a taxi, the whole deal plus one giraffe. But when he got there, all he could see were overpowered, overdressed, point weapon wielding, blood-thirsty dawn soldiers. (Not litterally.) He stuck out like a sore thumb. Although, he also thought, that maybe, some of these guys were as slow as they looked, and maybe he could out-fox them. It would be tough. Was Rahfka really skilled enough? Or was this just a bad idea? Well, I guess he will have to fight his first opponent to find out.

Kory turned to Rahfka, and suddenly felt a little less scared. He thought he was underdressed and at a huge disadvantage, but at least there was someone else there who didn't have a sharp weapon or anything. He decided to meet the man to see what he was like.
"Hello," Kory said to him. "Here for the tournament?" He mentally slapped himself for asking such a stupid question.

So many people gathering! What's this? A new tournament? A man arrives wearing a pink gi who think he's the best... obviously he's delusional. As he rolls into the crowd, bowling over a few people on the way, he leaps into the air and screams "YAHOOEY!!!" before landing. Then he proceeds to sign an autograph and forcibly hand it out to a random person next to him, namely Rygar "Hello, I am Dan Hibiki, and I have come to compete and show that my style is the strongest!"

Everyone groans, they all knew about Dan Hibiki. Oh god, why him? Why, for the love of god, him?

"Uh... thanks?" Rygar then said, staring at the oversized picture of Dan.

"It's free, kid, keep it!!"

"...sure..." When Dan wasn't looking, Rygar stuffed the autograph in the trash.

Shrum slowly approached the tourney site. He knew he would do well (after all he has been fighting for most of his life) however many great fighter would be there.

" Hmm...this should be interesting....who the hell...?"

Shrum saw the strange man and many annoyed looking people. He thought about saying "hi" but just slipped in between some people and tried his best not to be seen by anyone.

Unfortunately you kind of stand out with glowing blue eyes...

Minjuaeh was practicing in her gym for a marathon that was coming up soon. She had been practicing all day alone and had no idea about the tournament until one of her servants walked into the room. "Ehemm Miss Lyu there is something I have that might interest you." the servant said as Minjuaeh was finishing one of her stretches. "Please Cromwell, call me Minny" she said as she walked towards the servant. "So what is this you have for me?" Minny asked "An invite to another rally? no thanks...". "No uh 'Minny' this is a tournament..." the servant 'Cromwell' said having trouble calling her 'Minny' instead of 'Miss Lyu' as he was instructed by his boss. "A TOURNY?!" Minny yelled as she swooped towards him and snatched the flyer from his hands. "A FIGHTING tourney?! Cromwell! Cancel the marathon on my agenda, I'm going to this, 'Clash of Powers' Tournament!" She said happily as she ran out the door. "Ha, I knew she'd like it" Cromwell said going back to his normal duties.

Minny ran down the street towards the Hyperdome Arena as fast as she could carrying all her weapons which were grenades, and her switchblade knifes. FINALLY a big fighting tourny I can join, this is going to be so fun. No one will she what's coming for them. she thought gleefully as see neared the arena.

"Sometimes style looks better covered in the blood of one's enemies, my dear." Said the silver-haired one while turning around. His eyes left seemingly neon eyes left trails of light when he turned.
"But. When there's pride, or even lives at stake... the fires of hell can't match how my blood'll burn when I feel the need to destroy. It's a pleasing burn that'll render someone else in an ecstatic trance. But me? It feels great to even stay sane."
His smile seemed... evil. As if he'd kill her while smiling gleefully. It did not matter, though. Although he had the rush of the kill previously, he contained it when fighting professionally in order to allow his opponents another chance. When he knocked them out, it was on their feet they'd stay. And he has yet to fail in that objective.
"You look like you'd share the same fate. The rush of battle if not anything else is the greatest feeling one can experience given they can appreciate it. To deny that is to deny the soul that drives the blood."

"Is that right~" Sayuka said with a grin, hands still in her pockets, "I suppose you do have a point, hmhm. If you don't mind, I'd like to introduce myself... I'm Sayuka Mizushima. Also known as 'The Human Sword', She said with that smile still on her face. She wanted to get to know the guy, even if just a little.

"Indeed."Rahfka noticed someone a little more balanced talking to him. "I see you are too. Hmm... Everyone hear seems so desperate to win, they have been dressing up in such heavy clothing, and are wielding huge weapons. And that's supposed to make up for their lack of skill? Please. Kory looked at him, a smile in his eyes. "I agree. Though, I guess nobody would want to have me as a teacher anyway. I am quite a bit younger than everyone else I've seen so far. Even you. I don't know how much, or how little skill people have just by their clothing, but I can tell it will be interesting to fight everyone here. I'm Kory, by the way. What's your name?" he asked. Something about Rahfka's honesty and confidence draw Kory like a moth to a flame.

"and then, I beat this guy with one hand! ONE HAND!!! It was awesome!!!" Dan said to Rygar...

"Yeah... look... I have to... go..." Rygar then said, turning from Dan quickly and walking away. He HAD to find someone else to talk to. Someone NOT Dan. That was when he walked into Kory and Rahfka when he wasn't looking and then back up, rubbing the back of his head with his Diskarmor arm, "Ah. Sorry... I was just... trying to move away from the man in pink... as long as I don't have to talk to HIM..."

"Why hello," Kory said pleasantly, ignoring the fact that he was just shoved. "Excuse me." Kory walked over to Dan, and immediately started acting like the child he was. Well, more like acting half his age.
"You must be Dan! Can I have your autograph?" he pulled out a random piece of paper for Dan to sign. He then winked at Rygar.

"HAha!! Sure, kid!! Sure!!" Dan laughed, grabbing the paper and scribbling on it. "Here ya go!!" He then said, shoving it into Kory's hands, "Tell your friends! Tell `em Dan Hibiki is the strongest."

Rygar was all like ¬_¬ at Dan.

"When I win this contest," Dan then began, "I'm gonna prove to everyone that my Saikyo style is the most powerful style on Earth! No one can tell me different!"

"Orochi Kohryu. Successor of the Kohryu Bloodline. Not sure if you've heard of my clan's shenanigans since it's all historical." He took out his hand, offering a hand shake.
"They call me Slithering Dragon. Only because of the fact that both parts of my blood... are that of supposedly mythical creatures. Those myths are just cover-ups, though." Orochi just smiled and looked at Sayuka.

"Interesting name for an interesting man," Sayuka then said, clasping his hand with hers and giving a firm handshake, "I can tell you've got quite a fighting prowess... perhaps we'll get to test each others' mettle should we ever have to fight each other. And if you don't mind me saying so, you look like you might have the fortitude to outlast all these others..." She looked around... she noted the African man some distance away, the gladiator with the Diskarmor, the goofy karate guy in pink, the staff fighter, a mysterious man with a cross... quite a group so far. But she was hoping things would get more interesting if more potent warriors joined the fray.

"Hm. There's probably maybe... one who can survive, maybe. I doubt it, though. I don't even think we'll need to get serious either till the finals. Let's just get on cleanup and see what happens from there. Even if you somehow lose despite your tremendous power, I'll finish the job. We should team up should the layout be in teams than single like last year. Which was like a hurricane. It was exciting at first... but it ended in horrible disaster because it got boring." Smiling, he chuckled and surveyed his possible opponents. One of them HAD to be Hibiki of all people. Well, it won't be of any concern unless one of his few rivals showed up.

"Horrible disaster you say?" This piqued Sayuka's curiosity, "Hm... if I might ask, do you know of what happened?" She had heard rumors the Clash of Powers tournament had all sorts of crazy things going on in it... much like the King of Fighters tournaments that were equally infamous for it's share of strange and bizarre things happening during it.

"Let's put it this way. There's something besides the Orochi, Yata or even the Kusanagi that needs a seal-breaking." Making a wisp of black flame, he pointed at Sayuka.
"And that is the Kohryu. It took me years to find it and last year I didn't. So I just mopped everything up like nothing and took my prize. Then I left. It was easy for me to do because the other powers who interfered are now mine." He bore his teeth in a devious smile. It pleased him to remember such an event, especially when he obtained the other treasures all in the same day without disintegrating.

"Really. That's so cool!" Kory exclaimed, fake admiration in his eyes. "What is tje Saikyo style?"

"Rahfka." Kory and Dan looked at Rahfka like he was a slow speeker. "Pleased to meet you." Rahfka then got up and walked away for mysterious reasons. Was he as good as he said he was? Only time would tell.

(I wanna go against Dan first. I think it would be funny to see Dan getting beat up by an under-dressed African. It would probably be embarrasing for Dan. ...Although you can do what you want.)

"The Saikyo style... is the strongest style! Where one lives life as strongly and as energetically as one wishes! With TRUTH! JUSTICE! And... PANCAKES!!!" Dan laughed, "And also, glory. Glory is also good."

So many people joining...I'll have to bring out my A game if I want to win. Shrum decided to step out of the back and make some light conversation.

"Saikyo style eh?" He said sounding sure of himself. "Sounds interesting...and yummy! Allow me to introduce myself, the name is Shrum, my style...well you'll have to see! My weapon however..." Shrum pulled out his cross to show the man "I'll let you have a sneek peek at!" Whenever he showed people his weapon, it usually got some reactions, after all it's not a normal weapon. He did get a little irritated when people called it a sword.

Which Dan did.

"Nice sword, mister!! Of course, swords are for wimps! But guns... are for even bigger wimps!" A gun then falls out of Dan's gi shirt, "Um, this is a water pistol. Obviously."

Dan then takes the shovel and buries it 600 feet in the dirt. Somehow.

"I will win this tournament with both my bare feet AND my bare hands, and then some. The tournament money will be great for installing my Saikyo dojos further all around the world!" He then points at Rygar, "And you can be my first student!"

"Er... n-no thanks..." Rygar nervously said.

Sayuka grinned, "Really, now. Powers, hmm... that are now yours... interesting. I think I've heard of the Kusanagi... isn't one of them often competing in those KoF tournaments I hear so much about? I've been told he's a pretty strong guy..."

Sayuka herself never personally met Kyo, of course. She had, however, met Terry Bogard on one occasion, and of course, challenged him. She lost that match, but hey, he earned her respect... he was the only person she knew well enough from those tournaments...
