Thirty miles off the coast of Florida, a man made island was put up to house the most brutal of
America’s criminals.
It was a state of the art prison with a system that made all of the prisoners like ghouls’ they were always tired. They never ate much, and never fought back when the guards attacked. That was until the shadows took back Somnus.
Before the shadows overtook the people of the island, there was peace.
It didn’t matter what happened outside of the walls of the prison. The constant supply of mist being pumped into the room every night was enough to calm any demons the prisoners had.
Or so they thought.
On a routine tour of the island, a group of teenagers are brought to the island as a scare tactic. They walk the long halls of the prison never hearing any voices, never hearing anything. Except for the low hum of the ventilation overhead pumping the mist into the rooms of the prisoners. And then; a flash. All was silent.
The power had gone out. The prison doors all automatically opened.
In any other prison this would have been a blood bath, but not in Somnus.
The tour guide was directed to lead the teenagers to the back of the prison. They would have to stay there for the night.

Appearance: At six feet two, this teen has had his share of fighting, he has many cuts that hide just under his clothes. His messy brown hair is kept in a ponytail most of the time.
Mental Condition: Autistic, Has no friends and cannot make any. Has a habit of keeping things neat. ((Side note, He talks in his sleep))
A small cough and Dom wakes up.
He rises, looking for the origin of the cough.
"Where.."
He remembers he's in a room at the back of the prison.
It's a guard's sleep area, which connects to the equipment closet.
The window on the wall showed the empty halls of the prison.

"Ouch, that sure hurts" he thaught to himself, then lookef aroud in which room he was, and then he was shocked for a second
there were 5 guards in the room, all death, headless. He looked through the bodies and Found a combat knife, a pistol and a shotgun.
"My luck there are enough rounds left"
Then he left the room, searching for the others

Justin loaded the gun, in case he would need it. Yet another faint voice had appeared, and it was down the hall. Justin followed the calls of the voice, until he had stumbled upon another person.

Dom saw that it was the girl coughing
He got up and opened the equipment closet.
It had cots, sheets, amunition and two pistols.
*clank*
Dom spun around, the sound of metal echoing in the hallways.

The guard stopped, he heard what sounder like children running in the hall.
A small prick on his leg, almost like a shot.
He bends down and pulls an empty syringe out, he turns around he sees it;
A Mainliner
His vision fades as the creature gets closer.
He pulls out his gun and fires at it, missing.
He falls to the ground.

Jake armed himself with the shotgun and ran as fast as he can to that direction
what he faced there was a pretty weird looking monster like thing
"Hey you fail, come here"
Jake yelled at that thing
it run in his direction
"Have a taste of my best friend, mr pain to the face"

The first thing that Poppy was fully aware of when she drifted back into consciousness was the cold, hard floor digging uncomfortably into her back. Keeping her eyes closed, she grimaced.
Clank.
Jumping at the sudden noise, she finally opened her eyes and propped herself upright with an arm, taking in the dismal state of the room she was in before finally she remembered where she was. Seeing some movement from the corner of her eye, Poppy turned, a flirtatious smile immediately making its way to her face as she realised that it was a male around her age.
"Hey," she said smoothly, getting to her feet. She noted the open supply closet and made her way to the boy, invading his personal space and placing a hand on his shoulder as she looked into the cupboard.
