Dofa was cleaning the underside of his bed. Suddenly he stumbled upon his old captain's log. In witch, he wrote everything that happened in his days of being a pirate. It started with the names of his crew. And their personalities.

Dofa flipped the page, remembering his old crew. There were more, but he fit them in throughout the journal. (That means you can join anytime, but you have to have an introduction like above.) The first page was about how it started. But it was in third person.

Dofa stood on the mast. He took in a deep breath of the sea air. The year was 1801. He and his friends were going out to sea that day. To become pirates. He jumped from the mast and stood in front of his quarters. None of his crew was there yet. "Dawn means dawn everyone." he whispered gazing at the sun.

Personality: Jay has always been good with thinking; inventing, planning, strategizing. His favorite things to do are map out the local area, come up with useful inventions (even if he doesn't have the resources to actually construct them), and have mock pirate battles with little ships and land battles with little action figures. He's not the childish type, though. He's constantly mapping out cannon trajectories and how far musket bullets can reach. The trouble is, no one else in the town has the same smarts as he does, so he has virtually no friends. He spends his free time in one of two places: either at the tavern, wishing he could find a nice crew that may need a helping hand and go on adventures, exploring the seven seas and finding treasure, or around town wishing the exact same thing. Jay is the kind of person who will gladly help out when he is needed, but keeps a casual attitude. However, when the situation becomes stressful, Jay can become deadly serious. He would rather not hurt innocent civilians unless he absolutely has to and wishes to never have to kill anyone unless they are truly sinister and evil. He also attempts to resolve conflicts with his witty words and his thinking skills, and always attempts to find a way through any problems that may get in his way.
Appearance: Wearing strangely modern clothes for his time, Jay has invented a lightweight cloth and made himself a nice outfit. He wears a blue shirt, black pants, brown sandals, and owns a pair of black fingerless gloves that he hopes to eventually start wearing if he ever finds a crew to go on adventures with. He also has a black bag tied around his waist that has many things in it, like invention ideas, maps of the local area, and a special invention: an eyepiece he carved out of glass which, when worn, allows him to magnify his vision up to ten times normal size.
Jay had just finished helping the barkeep at the tavern clean up the last of the glasses for the day. "There we go... Another day, another doubloon..." Jay said less-than-enthusiastically as the barkeep handed him his daily pay. 'I hope this monotony ends soon. I really want to go on some adventures!' Jay thought. He was beginning to sense that his chance may not be far off as he walked back to his house.
"How was work today, son?" Jay's father asked when he walked in.
"Oh. Fine. Just fine. I cleaned up the dishes at the tavern again today." Jay said, attempting to hide his boredom.
"...Son, you have so much potential, I hope you can find something better to do than odd jobs for everyone else..."
"I know, father! That's what I've been thinking. When the first chance comes, I'm outta this boring town." Jay said, no longer hiding his disgust for his hometown.
"Well, all I can say is good luck. You'll need it... You've been practicing your fencing skills, right?"
"Of course, father. I've gotten pretty good, but I've had no luck with finding another skilled fencer to practice with."
"I'm sure you'll come across one on your adventures."
"Thanks for the encouragement, father." He hugged his dad and went into his room, sat on his bed, and began to daydream of what might not be far off...
