Micheal Darke left his office. He'd been trying to find any hole in his argument that Mr. Jake Smith could possibly use against him. He found none, after an hour of going over the facts. Sanders was as good as dead, or at least guilty.
He deserved a break for working so hard. He walked out of his office to find the hallway surprisingly empty, and made for the elevator. He considered getting a bite to eat, but then remembered something Edgeworth told him the other day--apparrantly, Lana was fired, and there was a new Chief Prosecutor. On that day, Darke had counted his blessings. Gant had been bumped off for him, and then Lana was fired. He wanted revenge a little more personally, but he way happy nonetheless.
The elevator was empty when Darke walked in. Everyone was in their office, he assumed. He pressed the button "5" to get to the Chief Prosecutor's office--he decided he was going to meet the successor and get the promotion he deserved. He stepped out again when the elevator doors opened and made his way to the office. He knocked on the door, then chose to open it himself. He walked in with a smug grin, taking note of the surroundings. It might be his office one day, after all. He looked at the high-end computer, the potted plants, the certificates... and then at the woman behind the desk.
"What! You!? Weren't you fired, you little-" Darke had a fit. Yet another reason to hate Edgeworth--he lies. Darke was fuming inside, but he reminded himself he didn't want to get Lana to hate her--she was his boss, after all.
"I'm sorry," Darke stated without feeling. "But weren't you fired by the mayor? Edgeworth said-"

Lana cut off her subordinate in mid-sentence. She could. She was his boss. "I had a talk with the mayor, apparently some things were...misunderstood...when the Commitee looked over my file."
She shook her head. "Much to your disappointment, I'm here to stay."
She acted so smug on the outside, but in reality, she was terrified of the whole 'firing' situation. She had nearly invested her life in this job, and to nearly have it taken away from her? It was a wake-up call, but Darke didn't scare her. She was only keeping him around so that the press wouldn't have an 'Equal Employment' field day about her firing the brother of...him.
The man that had given her a permanent smear on her legacy. Joe Darke. The day that Michael stepped into her office, asking for a job, she certainly didn't WANT to give it to him, but, alas, she must. If she said no, she would have gone though this whole 'firing' ordeal months ago...

Darke stormed out of the office, He wasn't going to spend his break like this.

Lewis grinned a bit and walked over to the chief prosecutor's desk. Standing across from where she was sitting, he spoke. "Lana, it's been a while since I've been in here. How are things?"

Lana stepped out the elevator, walked across the hall, and into the doorway of her office. Now THIS was home. She had left for not even a day, and it was turmoil at her house.
This was the place to be away from it all. She sat down on the huge leather office chair in front of her glossy wood desk and smiled.
((A while back I established that there a 14 floors. Lana's office on the top, of course. Under it is the High Prosecutor, and under THAT (this list is in no particular order) are various file-holding places, offices for prosecutors, break rooms, legal libraries and the like. At the bottom is a lobby, manned by a receptoinist.))

Kirby's head was full of memories remembering all the cases she did with Lana.She waved at the receptionist and went in the elevator pressing the top floor to get to Lana's office completely missing Power .

Karla walked along the prosecutor's office, wondering who she should be talking to, under her arm was a brown envelope. Inside it were her details and information about a placement that was arranged for her between the university and the office. She was dressed smartly, in black bootleg trousers, a matching blazer, a short-sleeved white shirt and black leather ankle boots with a low heel. Her black hair was tied neatly back except for bangs which wouldn't stay that way framing her face.
((Student placements are mostly secretarial duties, helping with filing, doing errands, stuff like that))
