From past experience, I've found that RP threads can become seriously bogged down if there are OoC conversations going along in tandem in the same thread. A discord server would be a good solution, assuming everyone has discord to begin with. Otherwise we could go with a large shared QT, though that loses some of the freedom I find.

I think a discord server would be a great idea. Get to know the participants better. There's a few subjects I want to chat to people about, but can't quite on the context of a forum. I'll wait to see what JesusMonroe thinks before doing anything.

On another forum this same matter was brought up, and people were hesitant because it seemed unnecessary. Then I went and made the server anyway and it became really popular, leading to much more discussion than ever before :p Remember that making such a server is almost zero effort - if there's even slight need for it, there's little reason not to just go ahead.

Though of course in this case we should definitely wait to see what JM thinks. It's a slightly different circumstance to what I was referring to above.

Also, Discord is fairly easy to sign up for and it being an app just makes it more efficient and accessible. It's up to JM though.

If enough people want it, I don't see a good reason not to. But I'd rather wait until after Trial 1 because that's when I expect a lot of OOC comments about what went well and what didn't and what should be improved for future trials

Not everyone will use the discord, though. If you have an OOC thing to ask me that everybody should know the answer to, put it in the main thread surrounded by parentheses

And "mama rules" will apply to the discord too
