Simple game. Grab a book nearby and read the first sentence of the book's story. Then add "And then the murders began" as its second sentence.
Let's see what crazy - or oddly fitting - combinations we can make out of this!

"Not for the first time, an argument had broken out over breakfast at number four, Privet Drive." And then the murders began.

Kinda cheating since it's not after the first sentence, and it's not from a book, but meh.

Pretty much cheating, considering that was more than one sentence as well.

Describing the plot as just "murders" is kind of an understatement for that book.
