Ramon quickly dismissed Devin as a lost cause in the face of Adel's enthusiasm. "Sure! If we get out of here, I'll get some Arby's coupons for everyone! How's that for a deal, eh?" He threw a cheeky grin Max's way, having apparently formed a rivalry with the salesman all by himself due to their vaguely similar businesses.

Suddenly remembering he was in the middle of a "deal" though, he immediately held out the lunchbox towards the others. "You, uh... get to have the tastiest tapioca sandwich of your life! At the Northern end of the room, there was a large, immaculate throne, upon which sat Ace in all his smugness. There were two seats on either side of him, one for King, and the other for Queen. Behind and above him was a large television screen, though it seemed to serve no purpose at the moment.
The main draw of the room, however, was the large roulette wheel in the center. Surrounding it were podiums with touch pads on them though, again, those seemed to serve no purpose for the time being. Each podium had a contestant’s name engraved into it. The order of the podiums went as such:

After everyone took their places, Ace spoke up.
“Welcome, everyone, to the very first High-Stakes Game!” Ace said with open arms. “Today, you’re all going to be fighting for your lives, your money, and to get ‘justice’ for the late Hugh Stakes.”
“This is insane…” Luke muttered.
“Shut the fuck up, loser!” Queen screeched.
“Anyway, I’ll leave it to Lucy to explain how this is going to work…” the masked man said.
Lucy appeared before the contestants. “Right on! So, everyone, welcome to the very first High-Stakes Game! Let me explain everything for you...”

"My alibi? Well...I was in the staff break room on the second floor with Deirde, Myrion, Jenny, and Max at like 12:30. The only thing I really did there was get up to get a snack." Woody explains.
"Um...At around 12:40 I remember Jenny leaving. Then we hung around for a bit longer until we decided to go the game room. We met up with Ryleigh and Tsubasa, and then I think Myrion decided to split off and go to Hugh's office. When we got to the casino door though, it was locked...Kind of weird, to be honest."
The florist puts a hand to his chin. "Oh, and during my investigation with Deirde, the only notable thing we found was a metal pipe behind the podium where Hugh would stand. I think that might be important to the case..."

"I went to the bar party or whatever it was at 12:43. I think I was the first after Roxie, but I wasn't paying too much attention. Not that long after, Ruby walked in too. Dale walked in from the kitchen and went about his pointless bullshit,"
He coughs a bit. "Fast forward to... like 1 PM. We're playing darts. I was about to throw mine and I trip - yes I tripped, that was bullshit - and missed, so a dart hit a glass and it shattered. Think Ruby tried to clean it all up but she couldn't get every piece. Meanwhile Roxie decides to blast some loud-ass music on top of the counter. During that whole ear-splitting session I thought I heard some knocks on the kitchen door, so I went to check and... Dale was inside."
He pauses for a bit and then continues, "He looks shocked. Apparently he tried to go into the gift shop to find stuff to 'safetyproof the kitchen with' and someone pushed him into the kitchen and shut the door behind him, which meant he couldn't leave. That should've also left the card available for whoever did that," Luke adds.
"And after a while we hear that loud thud and... yeah. You know it. What else... oh! Investigations! Right. Devin and I found nothing other than the game room being locked. Myrion found some stuff too I think, but he can explain that."
