Mao places the bloody scissors in the small handbag in the cell that Monk woke up in. Then he heads to the Washrooms, grunting something about cleaning the wound.
From then on, the guards’ strategy becomes something of a good-cop-bad-cop routine. Mao struts through the hall, attempting to intimidate the prisoners, while Taikong pleads to their humanity. However, the prisoners begin to realize how much easier is it to ignore the guards while locked up. Mei, for instance, just curls up in her bed and falls asleep.
Two hours later…
No progress has been made. While there’s plenty of time left, many guards begin to suspect that their current strategies will be ineffective.
“I’m done wasting time,” X snaps, “Our best option is to start interrogating the Dragon’s killer. Ox, unlock the Tiger’s cell.”
“Excuse me?” Amandi roars.
“Don’t deny it, doctor,” X replies coldly. “You went over to the throne room and pressed the button, and then you threatened to kill me if I told anyone. Now that it’s either you or me getting out of here, I see no reason to hide it.”
“Wh-What the hell are you thinking?” Amandi shouts incredulously. “You can’t just throw around lies like that!”
“We’ll see who’s lying in a moment,” X replies, “Now someone unlock this cell before I change my mind about who should do the talking!”
Mao pulls out his ring of keys and unlocks Amandi’s cell. As he pulls the door open, X steps inside and drags the doctor out. She tosses him on the floor, his cane clattering to the ground.
“For fuck’s sake!” Taikong shouts, “The man can barely walk!”
Ignoring him, X raises the cattle prod and jams it down hard.
BZZT!
Amandi lets out a deafening yell as the weapon scorches his skin.
“Who killed him, hmm?”
“I don’t know,” Amandi shouts, “But you’re making me more convinced it was you!”
BZZT!
“Wrong answer,” X says, “How about you try telling the truth this time. What about the Water Key? Where’s that?”
“I don’t—”
BZZT!
“Jesus, at least let him finish!” Monk shouts, pounding on the cell door.
“We’re going to keep this up until you confess! Isn’t this what you want, Rabbit?” X’s hair whips around her face as she shoots a glare at Juanli.
“I won’t confess to something I didn’t do!” Amandi hisses.
“Well, I believe I’ve made myself quite clear!”
BZZT! BZZT! BZZT!
The other guards stare at the scene, which seems like it’s only going to escalate…

As X raises the cattle prod, she jolts awake and stands up, grabbing the cell bars, "What the fuck are you doing?! Stop! There's no fucking way he did it, of all people!"

"And you!" she (very unwisely in my opinion) turned her back from X to yell at Mao and Taikong. "You're just letting this happen! You're letting this game play out exactly as Cat would want!"

A few seconds later, he'd pulled a knife from somewhere and thrown it straight at her. He was seeing red now, his actions not serving their usual peace-making purpose.

X grips the wound and stares at Taikong.
“I suppose this strategy was ineffective,” she mumbles, “I may be better off considering a new one.”
“Put the cattle prod down,” Amethyst shouts.
X wordlessly drops the weapon. It clatters to the floor.
Finally able to approach, Taikong grabs Amandi and gently carries him back to his cell. The wounded doctor lets out a sigh of relief as he collapses on his bed.
“Alright, there,” Amethyst says, “The situation is under control. Nothing like that is happening again.”
The silence in the room makes it clear that no one believes her.
One hour later…
Yang begins speaking to the group.
“Round 1 has now ended. The CDP of all players will now decrease. Round 2 begins.”
Everyone checks the CDP. Indeed, they are all one point closer to death.
The prisoners eye the guards warily, but they make no move to remove them from their cells. It seems the execution they feared would not happen.
Mao speaks quietly to the guards.
“We need to discuss our strategy,” he explains, “X, you stay here and keep an eye on the prisoners. We’ll be in the Washrooms.”
“I don’t trust X alone with them,” Taikong says, “What if she tries something?”
“We’re only one room over,” Mao says, “I’m sure we’d hear them screaming.”
“That’s good enough for me,” Suyin adds, stepping into the Washrooms.
Taikong and Amethyst share uncertain glances and then follow them through.
“And close that door.”
The door slams shut.
“Hmm…interesting,” X remarks, “I wonder what Mao wants out of this scenario.”
“Don’t even think about trying anything,” Monk says, “We can easily alert the others.”
X approaches the Monk’s door and unlocks it.
“All problems have solutions, Pig.”
“Hey…get away from—”
Suddenly, X was upon him, wrapping one of her bandages around Monk’s throat.
“We’re going to have a little chat, Monk,” X says, “I advise you all to remember, I still have the knife. It would be quite easy to use it.”
“Ugh…Listen to her,” Fujisaki warns, “Everyone quiet. We can’t risk losing Monk.”
X escorts Monk out of his cell. He tries to scream, but the sound of muffled and inaudible…

The other guards stand in the Washroom, unaware of the chaos going on outside.
“Okay, seriously,” Amethyst interjects, “We need to talk about X.”
[Only the four guards may post. This is just killing time until we rejoin the other group, but feel free to discuss things you wouldn’t want the guards or X to hear. It might take me a little while to put the next post together.]

“M-Monk!” Taikong shouts, “How did you get out of your cell?”
“How the hell do you think?” he replies, “You left us in there with that psychopath! Grab your weapons and get in there before she kills someone!”
“I don’t know about this,” Suyin says, “You all could have called for us at any time. This seems like a trick to me.”
“Jesus, she had a knife to my throat. We barely had room to negotiate,” Monk replies, “I’m only here now because she got distracted by Fujisaki.”
“Well let’s get moving then,” Amethyst says.
“Now hold on, she’s armed!” Monk says, “You should get some stronger weapons first, or we’ll all be killed!”
Monk moves in front of the door, clearly expressing that he won’t budge on this. Though the group finds his reaction a little off-putting, they decide to get some weapons from the security room anyway.
The group finally opens the doors and heads into the Dungeon.
Monk’s room is wide open, but the other cell doors are shut tight.
Surprisingly, it’s not X they see at the other end of the room, but Fujisaki, standing with the cattle prod in his hands.
“I knew it,” Suyin shouts, “This is just a trap.”
“Why are you out of your cell?” Mao asks.
“I switched places with X,” Fujisaki explains, “She was about to torture me to death. I only have this to defend myself.”
Fujisaki nods his head at the cell in the far corner of the room, and the group cautiously steps over. Indeed, X is lying on the floor with a bandage draped over her neck.
“Is she…bleeding?” Taikong asks.
The bandage is beginning to stain a deep red. Taikong’s bloody knife lies next to the body. A trickle of blood drips from her neck.
“I think she’s dead!” Amethyst shouts.
