Ruby had finally returned after her creator woke up, a cup of mocha coffee in hand with a fuckton of chocolate and sugar in it. She sauntered over to the tray of cookies and grabbed one, then sat down.

"Y'know, I feel like I should make something too. I mean, I'm the best dang maid out there, and my food is second to none! So... if anyone wants me to make anything for 'em, just lemme know!"

Ryleigh finally comes barreling back into the room, balancing a stack of plates with a large mixing bowl on top in her tiny hands.

"I'm back! And I've got a buuunch of chocolate-chip pancakes!" The blonde ball of energy hurries back over to her spot next to Tsubasa, setting down the stack of tableware down on the table in front of her.

"Blueberry crepes with powdered sugar... Alright!" Ruby clapped her hands together. She then grabbed her coffee mug and downed most of it. It burned a bit, but didn't stop her. "I'll do my best to make it remind you of home!"

She then rushed towards the kitchen, now fully hyped up on caffeine and sugar. As she passed by Ryleigh, she took a look at her pancakes and smiled.

"Daaaang, Ryleigh, those look great! I'll definitely try some later!"

Aaaand she's off to the kitchen.

Max entered the cafeteria just as everyone was dunking on him. He seemed a bit ruffled and hearing everyone talk about what a garbage person he was didn't exactly help. He looked around a bit... and saw Deirdre, back to normal now. He raised his eyebrow now, clearly realising something was off.

"Wait a sec... are ghosts even real...?" He murmured quietly to himself. "What's going on here?" He stood still, trying to make sense of the situation before him.

Inside the bag were... Chess pieces. The same ones Max had sold to her before, now just less destroyed. Holding up one of them and looking closely, it was actually not that hard to see where they were glued together and which ones had entirely new coats of paint, but even that state was better than what Max had sold her.

I think I can still make this up!" He reached into his coat and pulled out his wallet, from which he pulled out the money Deirdre had given him earlier. "Here, you can have this back! You don't owe ol' Max nothing now, alright? And, uh... How much was this supposed to cost again..?" He pulled out a slightly worn looking $50. "Here, this too! And, uh..."
