Because Henke's post happened some time after mine.

Hey now, he said he'd help you, that doesn't automatically mean he will give you those days off.

What does it mean then? As the man who assumes direct control of the Rota at Christmas time and has full authority in my work I'm not really sure how he could miss any of the two occasions I asked for off when they were previously agreed on.

Sure he could have outright lied or forgot, except he has the requested days off written down for everyone. He's got some explaining to do tomorrow or else our work relationship is going to get mysteriously sour.

I lost all motivation to draw. I was trying to draw Daehyun and failed miserably. I thought drawing would help my crappy mood, but I guess I'm too stressed to do so. I wish all of this was over already.
Not only that. I haven't been eating either. Not because I got my tongue pierced, but because I just don't feel the need to. I usually only starve myself when I'm depressed. Oh well.

Oooh, he's pretty~ And what a nice straight nose (or just a good camera angle to make it appear that way)

Well, what if some co-workers of yours had asked for those days off, too, but had 'better' reasons to not work on that day? Say, an important doc appointment that will take a while and has been decided on for months? Or a family outing.

You know this story about the woman who asked an autistic kid to decorate her cake? Why is this woman being praised? She was being a normal, commonly polite woman to another human being. (Ignoring the part where she says God made this story happen, so he could bless people) I'm polite to people in public, where's my social media aweinspiring story?

And I want Xillia to arrive already. Xillia 2 is at the point where I will need to enter Gaius' fractured dimension... maybe Gaius is more interesting Xillia, cause in Xillia 2, he's pretty forgettable. Or boring. Can't decide which.

It's Christmas Day...most people will have a family outing. Hell the big reason it matters to me so much is I love being with my family on Christmas. I'm sure plenty of people did, but he outright told me to my face.

Even if he hadn't given me Christmas there's only select few days my girlfriend can get off work, and those days I asked for off, just three days between Christmas and New Years...not the most in-demand days. He puts me in on all but one of those days.

Well, if things can't be changed, you'll have to see if the family can do any celebrations around your schedule. I would wonder if 25th isn't a day where things are closed, but I don't know how it is in the UK - or whether your job is one that would require to be open on such a holiday.

Yeah it's care, it's on every day of the year. If things can't be changed I might just go as far away as possible to celebrate Christmas. Let him pay for my Taxi from the Border halfway across the country. If he wants me in work that day, he's going to pay for it.

I can guess, but I don't have any reason to be confident that my guess is correct.

Vomiting implies you consumed something, so my first guess would be that you ate or drank something that your digestive system didn't get along with. Perhaps green-spored parasols.

Hmm... Would you recommend playing Professor Layton games chronologically or in the order they were released?

Never knew there was a preference. Play them in the order they were released. There is an general progression of the games that will not make sense if you play them in chronological order. The last two were on 3DS and had very different gameplay. It would be strange going from that back to the DS style.

I do suggest playing them in chronological order, but on the first playthrough i recommend playing in release order.

And how long will it take before she forgets about all of what happened enough to warrant playing them again?

Between 6 months a year i guess.

And how long will it take them to get tired of the strictly-formulaic "Everything reminds him of a puzzle" gameplay, if they play Layton over the course of severla months for the games?

In that case, wouldn't it be easier to just look up the story online? I'm pretty sure there's at least one homepage that tells the layton games' story in chronological order, with notes on when something is revealed.

But where's the fun in that, Cat? What would you rather do, watch what happens in FFXV (or whatever) or reading a brief summery of what happens.

I haven't played XV, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Also, a brief summary? I've seen pages (especially the wikias done for the games) that are well-versed in giving a good description what happens over the course of the game.

My mother and I have been trying to cut Cleo's claws, since she doesn't do much maintenance on them herself. Keyword: Trying. I might just ask the vet to do it, she tends to be too uncomfortable there to move a lot (and he has a better tool)

As long as you're watching, be sure to include the movie Eternal Diva as well. It takes place during the prequels, right between the fourth and fifth games.

It was just an example, Doitsu presumed XV would be something you'd want to know about but had not experienced (akin to the Layton example).

Wikias are viable sources of information but they are not an 'experience'. An experience is more than just information, it's a combination of sound, visuals, information and interactivity.

I could hold a controller, play a games OST, read the information for said game on one monitor while having official art of a game and video footage of the game on another monitor at the same time but it would not be akin to playing the game.

Clearly there's something in the "experience" rather than just it's components that Moonraven is seeking from the Professor Layton series.

Edit: Also yeah Eternal Diva is pretty rad. :kristoph:

I get what you mean, but I honestly have learned that, what may sound good in a summary... tends to not be as awesome in its actual form. Look at Xillia 2, the Land of Canaan - constantly shilled as a great place, the land where your wish will come true! I imagined, I dunno, something bright, something gorgeous to look at. What does Canaan actually look like? Like this. And this is the final location of it. Does that remotely look like a beautiful place for wishes to come true in?

I kinda prefer my idea of it being big and having a golden schimmer to things and all fairytale pretty and stuff. Yeah, fairytale, but it's pretty. :ron:

Canaan is a "magical place that grant's people's wishes" in a JRPG. Of course it looks like someone hired a Dalek as an interior decorator.

Yeah but that's not an objective measure of quality, it's an opinion.

It might not match up with expectations but if everything did then we'd never get cool subversions of tropes that surprise us and are really memorable.

Yes, YouTube. My Final Fantasy V video has a moment where the Crystal Prelude of Final Fantasy is playing. Yes, this makes it a content match. No, I am not making money off of this. Yes, I know this doesn't change anything, but where's the damn "Okay, whatever" button? I'm not saying that I composed Final Fantasy music. I'm just playing the game in the video.

I've been really digging "finale" right now. Saw a really cool comic to go along with that battle that served as inspiration for a neat "mental music video" I got for that song now so now the song is 1000 tines more enjoyable to listen to.

Just need to find a good cover of that song that actually has a "finale" (the OST version of the song just fades out on a loop).
