"I don't really have to much to contribute, if I'm bein' honest." Roxie admitted.

"At 5:00 I was in the shared living quarters tossing a baseball up in the air and catching it. Then at 5:05 I noticed Woody was near Deirdre's bed drawing something. I remember seeing Devin there too, now that I think about it. I stayed where I was and started daydreaming. It ended up being kinda weird... Really weird actually." She said, rubbing the back of her neck. "But it's not important."

"Anyways 5 minutes later, around 5:10 Woody started groaning. So I talked to him. He was saying something about his girlfriend or whatever before Deirdre entered. Then after that my alibi is the same as theirs."

"As for the investigation, Woody and Myri-whatever covered that pretty well. But I do have one thing to add! While we were investigating I noticed something smelled 'fresh' for a lack of better word. Woody said he couldn't smell anything special, and the robot can't smell in general, so I was the only one who noticed it. It was weird..."

Great Dragon seems to ponder over what they discussed so far.

"The crunched machinery that Max found near the costume depot door... If Max couldn't tell what it was... Then perhaps Luke might be able to tell what the crunched machinery was if he was shown the item or at least take a look at the item." Great Dragon said as he thinks about this.

"From the sound of it, it seems very likely that the floss, ropes, and hooks were all used to set up the death trap." Great Dragon reasoned. "The thuds that Adel and Great Dragon heard were likely the sandbags falling to the floor. The floss.... Could the floss have been used as a tripwire?"

"Tsubasa, I know you saw me in the gift shop grabbing supplies earlier, but I swear it was just for a project for my love back home. I guess that was a couple of days ago, but I just realized that maybe I seem suspicious because of that!" Devin takes a break from scribbling notes to timidly address Tsubasa.

"I spend a good amount of time in the gift shop in general. It's got a lot of interesting stuff, but I wasn't really expecting anything like this," she grimaces with distaste.

Great Dragon looks in Roxie's direction. "You said that you smells something 'fresh', correct?" The wrestler asks as he put his hands on his podium. "Great Dragon have a guess on that. What you smells was probably the floss, or at least the floss left behind traces that gave off the 'fresh' smell."

"While we're on the topic of the floss, Great Dragon thought about it some more and realized that it's possible that the floss can be used as a tripwire." The wrestler added on.

"There's one thing that bothers Great Dragon and it's how the killer knew of the photoshoot we're doing. How did they know we were planning to do a photoshoot in the soundstage?" Great Dragon asked the others as he ponders over the question.

"Yeah, I think we're startin' to make a bit of headway here", Max nodded. "Seems that the killer made some sorta trap usin' the floss, ropes, hooks and sandbags to kill poor Rubes in some manner. The floss bein' used to trip her up also makes sense. Though that bein' said, that also means that whatever alibis most of us have might be rendered null n' void if the killer didn't even have to be there to set this all off... We can't even speculate on motive if they just wanted to kill whoever went up to the green screen, right? The killer might've just been aimin' for whoever since they couldn't predict who'd go up there first", he reasoned.

I don't think it's related to the trap that Rubes fell into, since that seems to be covered by the other stuff that was found in the investigation. Most I can think of otherwise though is that it's related to one of the robots here? Come to think of it, ol' Coins didn't seem to even say anything when he was asked about all his missing stuff. Maybe somebody messed with the guy or somethin' to keep him quiet! ...Guess it might be a stretch though", he admitted. "And I don't exactly see how that helps us anyway."

"Actually wait, hold your horses there", Max interrupted. "Thinkin' about it, I might have an idea what the crushed machinery could be! Let's go over all the missin' stuff we've talked about so far and how they played into the trap for Rubes first. The rope was for the sandbags, no doubt, and the floss n' hooks were for the tripwire. The rope was found in the soundstage, and the floss was noted both by ol' G.D at the time of the crime and by Roxie during the investigation. The clips... well, I dunno where those are or how they were used exactly, but let's discard them for a sec there. There's still one part of this whole trap we haven't accounted for... Dragon-man, you mentioned a lil' somethin' in your testimony right there, didn'tcha?" He asked. "Somethin' about a whirrin' noise, right before the green screen wrapped up poor Rubes around it? Doesn't that seem a bit awry to ya? I don't think green screens are supposed to do that. So we can only assume that the green screen wrapping around her was orchestrated by the culprit in some way. And I think that lil' machinery I found could have somethin' to do with it! The tripwires must've activated it somehow, and then it made the green screen wrap up! ...Granted, I dunno how it got crushed or how it ended up where I found it, but it's a start!" He insisted.

"And now that I think about it, there's a chance our killer might've needed to be present in the crime scene somehow. The vent in the soundstage had been opened, yeah? Maybe during the blackout, while G.D and the kid were standin' out waiting for the power to return, they snuck in through there and electrocuted ol' Rubes. Or if that isn't right, it could be a secretive way for 'em to access the place without anyone knowin'. The only other place where they could get into the vents at all is from the changin' room, though. Then again, we only have one account of the vents bein' used around the time of the crime, and it was by Ryleigh... who was accounted for at the actual time of the murder. So it might've been a while before the actual crime. Hours, even..."

"Oh, so I guess my theory doesn't look so likely..." Ramon mumbled, looking shaken now. "King and Queen had no reason to have floss on them, they don't have real teeth... I really hoped, just this once, there'd be a convenient explanation for it all! But I suppose someone really did kill Ruby for some reason... So I'd best give my alibi.

"I don't really have much to add, though. I think someone must have realised the threat I posed, as a hero, so they made sure to put me out of commission before setting about with their murder plan! See, I was resting in the living quarters for a while, but at 5:20 I had to go use the bathroom. And I swear, someone must have slipped me a laxative or something, I was in there for quite a while... It can't have had anything to do with the Chinese and Mexican dishes I'd had for lunch, the robot chefs here are really good, so a laxative is the only explanation!

"I was stuck in there for a good 15 minutes or so. It kinda worried me, so I thought I'd best go see if Wands could do some test or something to see if I'd been poisoned. I got there at 5:40, and was there for a little while, before she sent me out to get some medicine from the gift shop. That was around 5:50, I think. I must have left the first aid centre a little before Max arrived though. After that I was about to go back to the living quarters to rest, but I got interrupted by Lucy's announcement..."

At the very least though, we know the movie theatre vent was untouched, so nobody present there coulda pulled any shenanigans there. Lookin' at it though, it seems that the bathrooms are a pretty good place to access these unnoticed, and nobody ever investigated 'em from what I can tell... A couple'a people have claimed to have gone in there for a bit, so in any case it's a handy thing to have in mind!"

Anyway, I didn't hear shit coming from the vents. Not sure how Ryleigh even heard me..." He says, pondering.

"Speaking of vents, I'm tryin' to figure out why exactly they're relevant here... If the killer set up a death trap then they wouldn't really need to use the vents, would they? They could've just left through the hallways like a normal person after the deed, unless they used 'em to run away from the sound stage. Or maybe they needed the vents open for the contraption to work?"

"More on the trap. It's a lot of pieces, but we can probably figure it out now, " Luke says, leaning on the podium, "Part of what I think happened is that Ruby tripped on the floss. That was the tripwire that when broken, caused the rope holding sandbags to fall, hoisting her up along with the green screen. The wires above were probably split apart by some kind of pull and they fell on Ruby, pretty much fryin' her, I think? I'm not sure where the machine or clips come in here, though... I guess the clips might've been used to make sure that the hooks aren't pulled loose, but like, that's pretty unlikely."

"It's possible that the vents were used to move the machinery out of the crime scene to obfuscate the nature of the crime. The killer wouldn't want us to understand how that part of the trap works."

Max was absentmindedly ruffling his pockets as the discussion continued. Suddenly, he paused, taking something out. "...Hey, what's this? Oh!" He pulled a crushed looking... thing. "Well, it turns out I had that lil' machinery with me the whole time! Sorry 'bout that fellas", he said, grinning sheepishly. "But I guess we can try to figure out what it is now, at least!" He tossed it in Luke's direction. "Can ya tell us what it is, or is it beyond recognition?"

"Yeah, and after overhearing the photoshoot plans, they went to collect the necessary stuff to set up the death trap. The only time that they could set up the death trap was between... 5:40 and 5:55. That's when Great Dragon, Adel and Rudy were in the props closet." The wrestler said, as he ponders over this.

"Also, we need to think about the order of events that happened. We heard the thud sounds and the whirring sound before we saw Ruby get wrapped up in the greenscreen and lifted up to the ceiling where we heard the loud CRACK. So, if we can understand the sounds that we heard..." Great Dragon said before he made an educated guess on the sounds that was heard.

First thud: sandbags falling to floor?
Second thud: sandbags falling to floor?
Whirring: machinery
Loud CRACK: Live wires fatally electrocutes Ruby

"Only problem is... There were two thuds. And what Myrion found was two sandbags that were tied to a rope... That'd likely caused one of the thud sounds we heard. What caused the other thud sound?" Great Dragon asked the others.

"Okay so the two thuds are probably two separate sandbags falling. I thought the whirring would be the ropes, but if you heard the thuds first, that's really confusing to me. It must be the machinery or whatever making a noise after the ropes moved. Not many things whirr though. Only weird machines," Devin scratches out a part of her diagram.

"Alternatively, the other thud was really just another sandbag falling. There was more than one rope, but that'd mean that they had different purposes."

"As we've said, the process must have required both enough time and agility. Myrion could have overheard the plan to have the photoshoot at 5:35, and then set up everything, considering he was unaccompanied from 5:25-5:55. What's more, the last place he was seen was near the cafeteria..."

As for the first thud, it must belong to the sandbags. It makes more sense that they fell down at the same time, thus makin' a thud at the same time as well."

"I don't believe that we should start accusin' people yet", he said in response to Woody, "But I do think it's worth notin' that our robot pal here was basically all alone for a good time chargin' with nobody to see him. Oddly enough there's a vent in the sleeping room too, the closest one to the soundstage. He'd certainly require the least time here to go and come back from there. Not sayin' he did it though", he quickly added. "We know that ol' Rammy's basically unaccounted for for most of the day, and he coulda fit into the vents too as we now know."

He shook his head. "I think instead of pointin' fingers, we definitely oughta focus on the death trap in question for now. The machine and the clips are still a buncha '?'s, right? If the sandbags were used for hoistin' up the screen, then why the machine? I think it oughta be vital in some regard, right? And what wouldja even need clips for in here?"

Ace twirled his gun around. "Alrighty, so, I think you guys need some direction here, so let's review what you know so far, or should at least have been able to infer."

-Ruby was pulled up with the green screen, getting wrapped in it like a cocoon.
-She was electrocuted by a live wire, which caused the power to go out for a moment.
-The trap used sandbags tied to ropes as counterweights to fall fast enough and gather enough momentum to roll Ruby up. The sand bags were up in the rafters of the ceiling.
-It was triggered by a tripwire mechanism, which was crafted from dental floss. It was on the ground for Ruby to trip on, and ran all the way up to the sand bags to pull them down. Simple. She tripped it with enough force for it to work.
-The clips were there to hold the green screen in place until she was rolled up, nothing complex there. It had little holes for them to fit through.

"As for your next topic of discussion," Lucy said. "Maybe work on figuring out who could've had the time and the brain to set something like this up, or what that crushed thing is..."

"Hmm... Great Dragon think that we should figure out what that crushed machinery was... Though, we should give Luke some time so he can determine what the crushed machinery was originally before it was crushed." The wrestler said as he cross his arms and leans onto his podium.

I suppose maybe ol' Luke has some mechanical expertise, and maybe Myrion does as well... But I don't think that's really conclusive. As for time, I think we've all had plenty of time on our own here. Unless the murder was plotted on the fly, in which case Myrion and Rammy woulda had a good chunk of time to put it all together... I still feel the machinery's worth lookin' into, though I have no heckin' clue what it could be for. You manage to get anythin' from it?" He asked Luke. "If you don't, we oughta start considering where it came from or what it meant in this whole scheme. Might be handy, in any case."

"You'd have to ask Ryleigh that, but she said he didn't respond to anything she said", Max responded. "I think the movie group already talked to him at 5:20 though, and he spoke fine just then. Rammy also claims to have met the guy just fine for his medicine, though he didn't say whether he moved or anything. That was at 5:50, pretty close to the time of death!"
