Casey looks down, and scratches at her scalp, nervously. Her face begins to turn red and she lightly kicks the podium.

"Dammit dudes... What the hell man I ain't done nothing wrong."

Beads of sweat run down her face.

"Shoot, maybe I shouldn't be saying nothing. Look, I ain't know what's right to do. I don't want nobody innocent to get hurt..."

"Well, the story is... I was in the study too. It must've been right after I saw Claudius dead in the library, I heard people shuffling around in there. Like maybe a fight was going on. Te door was locked, but I used the key to open it. When I went in he looked all beat up like he does now, Dale was dead. Anyway, I figured I'd stab him too with the candlestick, since I didn't want none of us to be suspected before we got all the facts straight, you know? I didn't know when it was best to say something about it though. Anyway, that's when I left and found the flower in the kitchen."

"You... saw the corpse, then just stabbed it with the candle? But... why? However, Kagayaki did say there was less blood around the candlestick wound than there should have been... so this does check out."

She turned to the rest of the class.

"However, if Casey is telling the truth and the door was locked, then this does not answer how the killer poisoned Dale, and locked the door behind them. If Casey is telling the truth, then the only thing I can think of is that they beat him, put a few drops of poison into his wounds, and rode the dumbwaiter out."

Casey's hands shake as she awkwardly looks for something to do with them.

If she was the only one who was in the kitchen after Silas, only she could have left that flour bag in the kitchen to keep the dumbwaiter moving. That dumbwaiter would be the only way anyone could escape without a master key too. Just one thing... I do not think it would be possible to hop on the moving dumbwaiter like that. There would need to be a way to stop it, if the killer, whether it be Kagayaki or anyone, used the flour to keep the dumbwaiter running."

"Ultimately, I believe only the one who administered the poison was the one who killed Dale. While just the gohei does not prove Kagayaki stabbed him, she never proclaimed that it went missing or that she found it later. And, it was washed, something which she said was from her cooking... This is not conclusive, but highly suspicious. I want to trust and believe in everyone here, and I shall give everyone the benefit of the doubt, Kagayaki included. That is why I am willing to hear any proof that she did not stab Dale."
