Oscar frowns, looking a good deal confused by the idea. "Wouldn't we have to explain how the arm was removed as well? If I recall, none of the tools in the shed looked like they were used, and we don't have a fourth knife floating around that I know of. Seems unlikely any if us was swinging the poor boy's arm around after he died with both those facts in mind..."

Urumi quietly cut off a bite-sized piece of the small steak she'd taken. She stuck her fork into it and raised it, then turned it over, examining it cautiously. Finally, she opened her mouth and slid the chunk of fried meat in, then chewed it thoughtfully for about twenty seconds, give or take a couple. Swallowed. "...It's alright, I guess," she mumbled.

In a louder voice, she added, "Well, we don't seem to be getting any further with the metal weapon discussion, so maybe we should get back to one of the topics we're actually supposed to be talking about."

Koichi was unaffected, most likely because he ended up in the lake at the time the monster was there. And none of the girls other than Miss Sawamatsu were affected the very first time it was seen at the cabin; only Miss Sawamatsu saw it, and only she lost her memories. She was also the only one awake at the time. It cannot be a gas because it did not affect the other people in the cabin, but it is not due to simply looking at it, because Koichi did that and was fine."

"Additionally Irene was not affected when she stabbed the monster, after which none of us were affected, we could all look at the... corpse, just fine. However, until Irene stabbed it everyone present seemed to lose their memories again? Irene seemed to appear out of nowhere, and so too did the monster. "Um... I don't think I have anything important to add to this, but let me see if I can remember some more details about what happened..."

Urumi tilted her head to one side. "Like I said, I was following Keri's light back to the cabin. Somewhere along the way..." She paused to think about it for a few seconds, but finally shook her head. "I can't remember. It's just a blur. I vaguely remember falling through the ground... somehow. So... Next thing I know, I'm in a totally dark, humid place with a cold floor. It's completely silent. Suddenly the discovery announcement goes off. I heard Keri's breathing, and that's when I... called out." Urumi cleared her throat.

"Keri asked if we were dead and where the lantern was. Then I heard V.A.L. ask if it was with us all this time and if we were sleeping when it called. The light came on and we could see the inside of the cave. Jack seemed like he was sleeping until then, he asked if we were kidnapped and if the murderer was coming for us... V.A.L. said it was brought there by the monster, we searched around for a way out, and... yeah, Keri already mentioned what happened with Irene. I think that's it."
