“So you saw it happen, then?” Jenny replied, looking absolutely flabbergasted. “You’d better wrap your head around it quick then. That sounds like vital information.”

"N-N-No, I didn't see anything!" Adel insisted. "I was talking about Tsubasa..! She like, pressed the wall, and then disappeared..! Didn't she like...surprise you, or something?"

Adel attempted to raise his arms, but the pain was still a bit much. "I-I really don't get it myself...I-I don't get anything..."

"Huh, that's strange, indeed... If you're telling the truth, Adel..." Great Dragon said as he thinks about this, then he turns to face Tsubasa.

"Would you like to explain what happened in there, Basa?" The wrestler asked the online gamer.

At the mention of the 'glitch', Max's eyes perked up. "Say...You can go to the foyer from the library by clippin' through the walls, right? Is it possible to clip back through or somethin'? D'ya think after killin' Deedee, Mr. Killerino clipped through the wall and strangled poor ol' Roxie with their own bare hands? Actually, come t'think of it, we still don't know who I heard on the stairs... Could it've been one of the victims steppin' down? Or the killer even?" He suggested.

"Oh, right...Yeah, that did happen," Jenny replied, "She just sorta appeared out of nowhere at one point and scared the livin' daylights outta me. I must've forgotten."

"Sounds like someone musta used this at some point. It it possible that the killer reached through the wall and strangled Roxie from the library? Or would they have just been forced out the other side? If you coulda done that, it only makes Deirdre more suspicious."

Jenny takes a long, labored sip from a vanilla milkshake.

"Actually, that oughta explain the bloodstains by Roxie's body. If someone, probably Deirdre, was stabbed by that bookcase, then the blood coulda clipped through the wall and landed where Roxie was."

"Maybe she was even stabbed while stranglin' her..." she mumbled.

"The only problem is... The bloody knife was found at the base of the Statue of the Dead." Great Dragon reminded Jenny. "If Deirdre was stabbed like you said, then it would be left inside her body... But, someone must have moved the bloody knife from Deirdre's body to where it was found."

"Wait... Wasn't Deirdre the last to be killed?" Luke asks, "I'm pretty sure we walked into Roxie's body first, then we heard a shriek coming from the library and Deirdre was found dead there, yeah? Shouldn't it be the opposit-"

Luke stops talking after considering what Jenny just said. "Yeah... actually, the blood stains only make sense if Deirdre died first in the library, the killer took the knife and the asshole then went after Roxie in the foyer, then up the stairs to the statue. But that's like... an incredibly tight timeline. And without being seen either? Wait, I'm gettin' deja-vu here..."

“We didn’t hear Deirdre scream, ya’ goofball,” Jenny replied politely. “That was Tsubasa findin’ Deirdre’s body. I’m not really sure when she got killed especially since no one can figure out if she was at Roxie’s body or not.”

“They probably just carried it up there. Plenty of people had time to do it. And Max heard somebody sneakin’ up the stairs at like 9:17. Since no one’s admitted to bein’ that person, it was probably the killer.”

"Hmm... What if the shouting that Myrion and Great Dragon both heard while in the game room... What if the shouting came from the library?" Great Dragon theorized as he thinks very carefully about this. "At 9:00, we both noticed that there were some shouting from somewhere while we're in the game room. But when Great Dragon left the bar at 9:10, there wasn't any noise at all... So, do you think that the fuss that Myrion heard coming from the library was likely the murders happening...? Or maybe it was one of the murders happening?"

"Luke, you n' Jenny didn't even make it to the library earlier, didja?" Max asked. "Since you never actually entered there, we can't say whether Deedee was dead at the time or not! So she coulda died earlier. She was probably left there for everyone t'see, since Sue found her directly in the library. I think it's likely that the killer stabbed Deedee, then probably clipped through the walls. Maybe they didn't know 'bout it and found themselves in front of Roxie with a bloody knife, so they had no choice but to silence her as well! Then they left and threw the knife away. Though since they already had it on 'em when meetin' Roxie, it's weird they didn't just stab her as well..."

Max seemed to be thinking quite hard. "If we're thinkin' the killer was who I heard on the stairs at 9:17, then that narrows down the options a bit. It couldn't be Deedee or Roxie since they'd hafta be dead by then. The only people without an alibi for that time are me, G.D, Nature-boy and Ryleigh. I heard the footsteps in the first place, so it wouldn't make sense if I gave m'self away like that", he reasoned. "Ryleigh couldn't have done the crime either. She was free from 9:07 till 9:20, but Myrion heard some commotion in the library at 9:07, and I don't think it's likely she coulda made it to the library from the kitchen in a minute and done everythin' she did. Now, G.D, Nature-boy, not to accuse either of ya yet, but it makes sense if it were one of ya, seein' as you were both claimin' to be in the upper floor at that point of time, and the killer would hafta be there to dispose of the knife over there."

"Couldn't that have been just Sue and the kid arguin' still?" Max asked. "The time matches, right? They started fightin' at that time and by 9:10, Luke n' Jenny woulda put a stop to their shenanigans."

"The cigarettes we found in the Master Study could mean that Deirdre was writing the letter I saw Roxie holding, but what if that's just because the killer planted them there on purpose? Maybe the killer was the one who wrote the letter and sent it to Roxie, telling her to meet up before killing her?"

"Well, no, buddy, I don't think Deirdre got killed that early. Why wouldn't they just use the knife instead of strangling Roxie? It'd have taken less time too, which is the weird part here. I think Deirdre got killed first anyway, 'cause if the killer had a knife it means that at least that murder was premeditated. They might've already thrown the knife away by the time they killed Roxie. As for Woody, he's got one advantage - in that if he stabbed Deirdre and he got blood on his clothes, we wouldn't know. Cause guess what other red shit he got on them. But that's just a guess, really." Luke says, shrugging.

"Actually, Max. It'd be impossible for Myrion and Great Dragon to hear Adel and Basa arguing. But if we think the shouting came from the library, then it'd be possible." Great Dragon simply said.

After some thinking, he continues to speak. "Also, if we think back to the letter that Roxie have. What if the killer wrote the letter to lure Roxie? The killer probably wrote something in the letter that made Roxie upset? If so, it would imply that Roxie was the intended target... But, what of Deirdre? Was she an unintended target?"

"I don't think they were both killed by the same person cause of the differing causes of death," Jenny said, "It really doesn't make sense for the killer to strangle Roxie if they already had a knife. Also, I'm not sure they could have killed anyone in the foyer without being spotted."

"It's definitely possible the cigarettes were planted in the study, since it was right next to the statue. I think it's a bit simpler to assume Deirdre was writin' the letter and intended to kill Roxie, cause it seemed to fit everythin' else...but yeah, there's no way that letter didn't lead to Roxie's death.

"Also, I think we've been forgettin' somethin'. That knife didn't just come out of nowhere. It was from the kitchen. So the killer had to be able to get it too. Which means we're lookin' for someone who was free at 9:07 and had time to go to the kitchen at one point."

She paused for a moment and then glanced at someone.

"Wait...Woody, you were in the kitchen, right? You got sauce all over your shirt and everythin'."

"That means Deirdre died before the letter was written, so at least before 8:48 if Woody is to be trusted. Which is a crazy timeframe. Which also means that the killer wouldn't have to kill Roxie at all, because in order to take Deirdre's cigarettes, she'd have to be dead. So nah, that doesn't work."

From one end of the table, Loki chuckled.

"Alright, I have an idea for some fun. Let's focus down on something."

Who actually wrote the letter, and why?

"The answer may surprise you."

"We should probably figure out how many killers there were first, since I figure it's kinda important", Max remarked. "I don't think there's more than one, if we're sayin' Roxie's killer clipped through the wall and strangled her. They had to come from the library, which was where Deedee was found. I don't think that's a coincidence, exactly... I don't think Deedee and Roxie coulda killed each other either, since someone still had to dispose of that knife."

"So if we're sayin' it wasn't Deedee and those cigs are a red herrin', it was probably the killer", Max inferred. "Alternatively, Roxie had written the letter, but that'd make her reaction when Nature-boy saw her make no sense at all. So it's mainly between those two, I think."

Adel fiddled with his sling for a little bit, still visibly confused.

"The top half of the letter was like, covered in blood, so we couldn't read it. But we could still see the bottom half, and it said in the northeastern corner of the library, if you touched it in a certain way, you would warp to the foyer."

"...It said this was the simulation's spawn point."

"Well, logically speaking, the last person to have the letter in hand was Roxie, so... uhhh... What the hell is going on here? Did they both get killed at the same time? Did one of them kill eachother? What the shit?"

Jenny narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yeah, sure. Catch."

She grabbed a can of flavored sparkling water and chucked it at Luke's head as nonviolently as she could manage.

Luke catches the water, "Thanks, buddy. I don't feel like getting drunk right now. Maybe later today when the depression kicks in."

He opens the can and gulps down about half of it.

"Okay, so Deedee wrote a letter to Roxie that told her somethin' worrying... And then maybe she asked to meet her in the library to talk to her 'bout it more?" Max seemed a little uncertain. "What happened next, though? Did Roxie attend or what? She couldn't have, right? She certainly couldn't be involved with her death since she couldn't have gotten the knife after gettin' the letter. It doesn't make any sense."

"Yeah... That's the problem, Luke. If Roxie have the letter when she was seen by Woody and the letter was found by Deirdre's body..." Great Dragon nods his head. "Still, the letter proves how Adel and Basa knew of the glitched wall."

"Oh wait, this is interestin'", Max said. "So Deedee knew 'bout that glitch? And Roxie woulda too, since she got the letter. Or... did she? How was it by Deedee? Did Roxie drop it? That'd mean she was in the library at some point... Then she teleported to the foyer... along with her killer... Interestin'."
