She gives you the suit, and then you and her ambush Sachi, shortly afterwards, while you're still wearing the suit and you guys are gonna start cleaning, you ambush her, so that there won't be any witnesses, and so that you can switch places with her at the end, giving you a chance to fake everyone out with the body switch!"

And the knife at the scene, where would I find it, and why would I even use it if I could easily overpower S while wearing the suit? It'd be in my favor not to have it involved at all."

There was no reason for S to get blood on him, u- unless he was standing like r- right next to Sachiko... and not only would s- someone need to come up with a weapon Molly could have b- beaten Sachiko with, but we'd also need a weapon Sachiko could have s- somehow killed S with... and why not just bring the knife from the beginning? Why get c- caught on camera going downstairs to get it l- like an hour after the crime was already over with?"

"S-sure! I thought I have! T-the decontamination room was used because it was the crime scene where you killed S! you waited for her back to be turned so you'd have the best chance to get her! S-so when she went to get the cleaning supplies you followed and socked her! And because you killed her in there, you had an easy time cleaning it up! Y-you j-just had to use the room and the blood would be gone!"

Casey trembles with determination.

"A-and...y-you went and got a knife f-from the kitchen! And if we found out S's body was in the crane, but had no conceivable method of how she died, we'd determine that she'd must've been bludgeoned with the suit, which woulda implicated you, but bringing a knife in makes it possible for her to commit suicide, giving you a way to say you didn't kill her."

Akio put a finger to his head. “Here’s everything that happened in this case!

“Back in timeline B, the killer formed a plan to kill Kagayaki. The sword she got from Terrence wasn’t planned to be the weapon, but it ended up being good enough to work. She simply donned the trench coat, and killed Kagayaki with it.

“However, she didn’t expect Kagayaki to pull the weapon down with her. By a stroke of luck, her arm was already burnt, or maybe it was pre-planned. So she retrieved it by just reaching into the vat and grabbing it herself. She probably also took John’s pool cue, or a different one, and got rid of it. As long as one pool cue was missing, the class would be able to reasonably suspect John.

“She won the trial, and then decided to go back in time before the killing game. During the trip, the time machine caused her to lose her memory. We’ve known her since the beginning of the game...as ‘S’.

“That brings us to a few days ago. S had been gaining bits and pieces of her memory back ever since she saw the note. By the time she got them all back, she decided to stop her alternate self from killing. But she was too late...by the time she arrived, Sachiko was already dead.

“The two of them decided to cooperate. They were the same person with the same mutual interests after all. S’s idea was to recruit Molly, knowing this was possible due to information she gathered in timeline B. But since the killer’s clothes were covered in blood, they had to switch places.

So Sachiko’s killer got in S’s armor, while S attended the party dressed as Santa, conveniently covering the burns. Our killer recruited Molly into the plan while dressed as S.

“This was all done so when everyone heard the decontamination room being used, they’d assume the killer was up there, giving the killer at the party an alibi.

“Later into the party, the killer and S met downstairs and switched places once again. Sachiko’s killer was back in the Santa suit, while S had their armor again.

“S returned upstairs and met with Molly. To complete the plan, they made sure they wouldn’t be able to be identified and compromise Casey no matter what. So she killed herself and had Molly dump the body in the vat.

“This is the hustle you arranged on us. You really did DROP ON ACID, Casey Windsor the Ultimate Pool Shark!”
