I officially fail as an adult...I might as well be 16 again.

I got a debit card and I already forget my pin # so as much as I want to see how much money I have left to see if I can get Fire Emblem Awakening...I left empty handed.

Well ok, that trip wasn't a complete loss, I got to try out an ATM machine for the first time. ^^; But it was a hot and sweaty trip to and from.

I don't remember my pin # either, and I have the paper that has it somewhere in this room... I just check my bank account online and manage my money that way.

So still no Fire Emblem? Awwww :sadshoe:

Pro-tip: Try to make a pin number that you can relate to something else. (That's how my pin number's gotten so ingrained in my head.)

My first time using an ATM machine, I had to drive over to the bank myself with my driving instructor, and it was also my first time driving. ^^;

Thanks Gnobo...And Blak, I tried that last night, unfortunately the site I used wasn't straight forward.

Actually Gnobo, if my pin # was my birthday it would be a dead giveaway. :/

Got a letter from the insurance saying that my free insurance under my mom's insurance is to end a day before my 23rd birthday next month. Now, I AM looking for a job, okay? One that will get me insured. First thing my mother says when hearing this.
"Well, congratulations!"
What kind of pissed-off tone was that? SORRY that I'm getting older? What right does she have to be pissed off, I'm the one who won't be insured unless I get a job within 3 weeks!

Hmm I've found this attitude with some things to do with my parents too.
I think it's basically a "Take that welcome to adult life" they are giving you.

You could do something like make it backwards, or increase all the numbers by 1 (3269--->4370)

I actually have a very convoluted way of generating passwords and pins, One password I used to use was:
Ateship1Thcns2Tdd3
I remembered it by doing this;
And
the
end
still
has
it's
pride
1 (space)
This
hate
can
not
subside
2 (space)
Till
deaths
defied
3

Think of your favorite soliloquy or song and make it a password like that, I use poetry I've made.

A good way to make pins is like this;

The letter of numbers in your mother's first name
Letter of numbers in your father's last name
The last number of your phone number
The number of words in your catch phrase (if double digits add them together)

Graaagh curse my friend.

Looking to play Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii, wanted to for a while so I asked my friend since he said it was good. Then I ask him for it and he just shrugs and says he traded it in.

So paycheck rolls round and I go to see the price myself. It's a bloody collectors item apparently rare as red squirrels and costing at least £45 in places but most breaching beyond £50-60 or at worst over 100.

Guess I'll just wait and hope for a re-release or something.

I want to pre-order Sims 3 Island Paradise. The transfer for my 40€ hasn't gone through yet... I don't want to have to go through the awkward moment of asking my mom to give me 40€ so I can pre-order and then give her the 40€ once the transfer is through.... I'm sure she'll just say no, anyway.

Ouch, I managed to get mine while it was 20 quid, but that was last year. Must've been the US release that increased demand all of a sudden.

Huh, got kicked out of the OddSquad Scanlation team.
Why? Reason being that I am not liked, because I am hard to deal with and manage to piss people off.

You know, I kinda knew that. Which is exactly why I generally try to refrain from going into social contact with people.

I'd consider that a bit cowardly to be honest...Like if somebody here were to give the ban hammer to somebody else just for getting ego hurt.

Apparently I've been pissing the admins off for a while now. Hard to do, since most of them were gone for a long time, busy with jobs, University or exams. But it is a bit of a terrible reason to do so, mostly because, having caught me in a bad mood, I do tend to be more assertive and probably insulting.
Seriously, me in a bad mood is not good.
There were other reasons, apparently asking if a minimal detail of moving a not about a sound effect would alter the reading experience drastically, but....... Meh. Seriously, I'm starting to not care anymore.

Nice news, I pre-ordered the Sims 3 Island Paradise and now just have to wait for the release next week. Woohoo~ I can go recreate fantasies about certain anime characters being stranded on a deserted island~ :butzthumbs:

Not really the best example to use since one is a Scanlation team where each individual is contributing to something and the other being public forum where not every individual is expected to do anything in particular aside from being civil to each other. I can see where the admins are coming from though.

If I'm expected to work in a group that's assigned a project, and I find that a member or two are doing things to me and/or the other members that gets us upset, morale will usually drops due to internal conflict in the group. Things happen, I lose motivation to do my part, and I'm sure others as well. A rather poor example, but I'm trying to say that when working as a team the most important thing is the cohesiveness of the group.

As for you being in a bad mood, there's always the option to not post anything online if you're in a bad mood to avoid grinding anyone's gears.

If you want to continue with scanlation, you could always do it yourself. Or there's always strengthening social skills if you're up for that.

The wait for Shin Megami Tensei IV is killing me. Comes out on my birthday too, and I really want a new game for my 3DS to play.

I couldn't really shut up, as one of my typesetting was being discussed and corrected, so I had to contribute to the conversation.

And I am not stopping my scanlation skills. I already applied to a different scanlation group as they need help and am working out tests from some other groups, see how good I am in various things. (I like how I cleaned this color page, but the black-white manga page is more difficult)
Seriously, working on scanlations is fun.

And to be honest, next scanlation group I get into, I'll tell them that I'm a difficult person to deal with. I'm a good worker, just not good with the social aspect. So I'll probably become the phantom worker - gives done projects, but remains in the shadows~

Listening to various PBG videos in a row is so much fun.
Always wants to make me get working on my videos. Especially my first video, in which I'll explain why I think Skyward Zelda is the worst Zelda incarnation. Not to mention my review of Skyward Sword, Final Fantasy XIII/XIII-2 and Katawa Shoujo.
Definitely a review on Katawa Shoujo! Especially since I got it 100% completed!
Maybe I'll replay Shizune's route.

I just came back from the pool and some guy told me I looked nice...Except this guy was from the high school I went to and he used to ask me a thousand questions while telling me I was an attractive woman.

...Well I guess this is one of those "be careful what you wish for" moments.

Yeah, two things I'd like to happen to me.

2. A girl to tell me I'm attractive........what? Haven't any other guys here wanted that too?

That reminds me, today on the escalator, I think this black guy was trying to flirt with me...

Nothing against blacks, but I just don't like flirting - especially not on a freaking escalator! So I said I don't quite understand him, although he was speaking english, and I did have a little trouble hearing him because of my headphones. So I just gave a quick wave with my hand holding my cola and walked down the rest of the escalator.

Luckily, he didn't try to follow me or so.

What a coincidence, the guy who told me I looked nice is black, and he spoke English in a strange way, but I think he has a mental disorder.

And before anyone asks, I don't have any problem with blacks either...There are even these bright and shining moments where I actually find myself attracted to black guys.

I wouldn't say I'm particularly attracted to blacks or anything. I do like tanned skin, though. Mostly because it actually looks like a healthy skincolor. I'm too pasty and it makes my eye rings really stand out.

Oh, for you guys wondering why I'm acting like a spoiled rich girl who complains a lot...The reason why I complained about this in the first place is...

You know how you're around a person who you know is an overall nice person, but for some reason you just want that person to get lost?

Because when all a person has to offer is niceness, it's just boring.

You? Acting like a spoiled rich girl who complains a lot? Well, I haven't been on this forum long so I wouldn't know... either was I hear ya, there are sometimes where nice people can bug me as well. Niceness is a good thing, but sometimes it's alright to mix things up by "making fun of" the other. I say it in quotes because, if you have the guts to kid around with someone else, that's a person worth hanging around.

Excuse me prince boy.

Not all people who claim they are nice are as nice as they claim. Some say they're nice but expect something in return for their good deeds...That's not very nice at all. Some people think they entitled to certain things and people just for being "nice."

I like guys who are exciting, and can on their own two feet. Having someone rely on you for your happiness is exhausting.

Yeah and some folks aren't, some folks are just nice because they'd want others to treat them in kind. It's called the golden rule, treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.
I'll understand if you've got trust issues but you shouldn't put down someone just because they are nice?

Ever consider they might be shy? Uncertain of what to say? Why do they have to offer you something? Why mightn't you offer them something of conversation?

Maybe they seem boring, maybe they don't drink which means no tales of drunken adventures or nights out, maybe they value a smaller crowd of close friends than a wide posse of people but they have their own inherent value and you should not dismiss someone just for being 'nice'.

...*sigh* forgot about that.

And just for the record I don't find drunk people interesting...I once went trick or treating with drunk teenagers and it was certainly no treat. And one New Years Eve I was in a hotel with a bunch of passed out drunks waiting all night for the bloody count down.

You complain and act spoiled?
Can't really tell, you're like the voice of reason sometimes, when I or Pierre get into arguments or everybody focuses on something trivial. But I get where you're coming from.

Nice people are.... nice. But something about their niceness always irks me, depending on how much of it I see. Being nice a little bit is great and all, but being nice 24/7 freaks me out. Makes me wonder if that person just has no backbone to stand up to people - cause not everybody is nice to a nice person - or if they have mastered the art of suppressing their feelings so much, it makes me wonder when they'll 'explode'...

Ditto on people acting all nice and innocent and can't-harm-a-fly. I just can't trust them, I instantly suspect them of withholding something. Reason why Dahlia and Alita never got me under their spell.

PS: By the way, people seem to forget that being 'Nice' was originally not a good thing to say about someone...

...*sigh* forgot about that.

And just for the record I don't find drunk people interesting...I once went trick or treating with drunk teenagers and it was certainly no treat. And one New Years Eve I was in a hotel with a bunch of passed out drunks waiting all night for the bloody count down.

Not sayin' ya do, it's just I know waaaay too many people who do enjoy that.

Hell I've even heard a phrase somewhere about "I can't trust a man who doesn't drink" or something like that.

@Cat

What was the origin of 'Nice' then? I've not heard of it having suspicious roots :yuusaku:
