A small groan is heard all of a sudden. It seems Leeloo has woken up from being tased.

Jacob looks down at Enia with a mixed expression on his face. "Hey...Enia...so..." He sighed and shuffled uncomfortably. "So...you killed Unity and then K-9 tasted you. We've put some handcuffs that Sette found on you for now...just as a precaution you understand but...it'd be a big help if you could tell us why you killed Unity."

Enia fiddles with the handcuffs a bit. When she understands they're not coming off, she drops her hands in resignation.

She regretfully looks up to Jacob and says, "I couldn't let her leave. That's all you need to know."

Jacob sighs and kneels down beside Enia "C'mon Enia, you can tell us. It's not like things matter now we're all locked in here. Not much matters anymore, Unity is dead and we're stuck here. It looks far worse if there's no reason behind her death so please..." He looked to Gemini and Sette for assistance "...tell us why Unity had to die."

"Very well." Enia says. "I have no reason to keep the truth further from you all."

"I'm the person who hosted this game. I'm the person who made the puzzles here. I'm the person who brought you all here. In other words, I'm Zero." She says, almost blandly. "I hosted this game for revenge. I wanted revenge on those who stole me away in my childhood. I wanted revenge on those who watched my future get stolen from me and watched in inaction."

Enia looks away from Jacob, staring at the floor, seemingly holding something back. "When I heard that someone found my real parents, I was enraged. I was absolutely furious. That's when I decided to host this game. All I wanted was to be reunited with my real parents, and revenge on those who watched me be stolen away from my parents. Those who stole me from my true parents, Unity, who let me be stolen, Abbot, who killed my grandfather, K-9, who let that stupid, stupid serial killer escape so easily! Is it really unfair for me to do this?! All I wanted was to live a normal life with my real parents! Was I really wrong?!"

Gemini begins to tear up. "That's what you wanted? You put all of us in this twisted game, to kill people who wronged you and spend time with your family?"

Gemini takes a step closer. "You put Jacob's life, and my own in risk? For what!? Why did you need us here!?"

Jacob looked dumbfounded at Enia in disbelief "So...so...she did let you get taken from us." He said looking over towards Unity with a newfound loathing."But I...but...did you...did you bring us here to be reunited?"

He gestured wildly at Sette "What about him? I thought Sette said you'd forgiven him? He might be a horrific dumbass but he raised you..." He paused remembering that the worst amongst them had been left with their memories "Unless...you never did..." Jacob shook his head frantically trying to piece everything together. "And who was the girl in Pod A? What happened there? Why Quarter? Was she not your mentor?" The questions came tumbling out desperately.

"So...so...you got most of what you wanted I think. Your family is here. What happens now?" He asked shakily

"I had lost my memory when I forgave Sette. I didn't know what I know now. And as for what you do now, you continue with the game." Enia says. "I don't know who the girl in Pod A is. I don't remember that."

"Wh- What? Wh- Where the hell is all this coming from?!" Sette shouts, "What kind of revenge scheme even is this? I would have apologized for what I'd done eventually even without this ridiculous game! And all that time I spent trying to raise you, all the money I took out of my barely existent budget just to try to make sure you were happy... You're telling me none of that mattered to you? Wh- What kind of 'future' could those two have given you that justifies all of this crap?"

Ben raised his eyebrows throughout Enia's speech, and remained silent for a while after. Then, after thinking his phrasing through, he said "girlie, I don't know who yer protectin' but I know you ain't Zero. Even if the rest o' that's true."

Jacob scoffed "What reason would she have to cover for someone?! It's the end of the game! There's nothing left for us at this point." he said throwing his hands in the air in exasperation. "And how does Ben know for such certainty anyway? Where does he even fit into your plan Enia? He's just a guy who saw X at somepoint as far as we know."

Jacob paced in frustration thinking intently "Ok...so if you programmed all the puzzles, you'll know what the message was in the director's room right? You can tell us that? Ben said he couldn't on pain of death...or at least implied that if not outright saying it." he asked Enia.

"Could everyone assemble in the pod room immediately, please?"

The players all look around, but miss their fallacious foe. Either way, it doesn't seem like they have a choice in the matter. The players slowly walk into the pod room, K-9 escorting Leeloo, and as they all enter, the door closes behind them. It seems that all their pods have been opened as well.

"Hahahahaha! So you're all the remaining survivors, huh?"

The players each look at each other sadly. They…really are trapped here. Gemini, Trix, Leeloo, Ben, Sette and K-9. With no way to escape whatsoever.

"Well then! I should probably mention that door behind you will never open again, so you're trapped here for now!"

"More like for the rest of our lives", K-9 scoffs.

"So…this is it, then? The last voting phase?", Gemini asks nervously.

"Yep, sure is! You know the rules by now, so I'll just leave you to it!"

"I still don't get it, Jim." Ben shakes his head. "What's even the point o' this? We're trapped for good here, so why the need to vote? Feels like an unnecessary formality at this point."

"Dammit, he's gone again. What's up with 'im, anyway?", Ben questions. "Been avoiding talkin' to us, like he's afraid he'll spill the beans on summin'."

"It is quite strange", Gemini agrees. "But I think voting should be our first priority. Are we all ready?"

"Well, I can't exactly vote with these handcuffs on", Leeloo interjects.

"Yeah, what're we gonna do about that?", Trix asks. "We can't leave her like this, right? Who has the keys again?"

"I do", Sette says. "If you'd like, I can-"

"We can't. She's already admitted to being Zero. We can't possibly trust her at this point", K-9 interjects. "Maybe she'll try to do something else to us once we open them."

"Oh, please." Leeloo shakes her head. "I've already been searched at this point."

Trix nods. "Still, this is a bit worrying. If she can't vote, she'll be penalised, right?"

"Yeah, I think we should discuss this further", Sette agrees.

[Feel free to enter your pods whenever you would like to vote. Phase ends in 12 hours from now.]

"The game ends. I am not sure what exactly it entails." Enia says. "I only designed the game up until now."

"As for the cuffs... they do not exactly allow me to move too much. I do not want to risk not being able to move in the pod. Because if I can't move..." Enia cuts herself off.

Jacob paused in thought "Well the worm said 'for now' there so perhaps there's something else? Another way out? If the program just turns off at this point then there's nothing to stop us breaking down enough doors until we find a way to open the front." he said looking over at Enia "If you had an accomplice you could probably tell us that as well. Still we can always put the cuffs back on when she comes out but for now we should uncuff her to get this vote over with."

"No point really betraying here right? Let's just ally and see what's after this." he shrugged.

The players look at each other awkwardly. It's not like they have much else to discuss, so they get into their pods just as they start to close. Is this it for them? Or is there something else after this?

[Right, just wanted to get that out of the way. Please send me your votes in your QTs within 10 hours from now. Those who do not do so risk being penalised. Thank you for understanding.]

Post subject:  Re: Nonary Game 6- The Quest for AB: Final Voting Phase

[Phase Change will occur in 7 hours. SCs will be immediately posted in their respective QTs.]

After a while, the pods reopen. The 5 players get out and check their SCs. From the looks on their faces, it appears they have all allied. It's quite relieving, though pointless by now.

Wait. 5 players?

By identifying each other, the players quickly turn their glances to Pod 2. And they see her. Gemini. She appears to be asleep. Immediately the players realise what's happening. It's the anaesthetic, Soporil γ. Which means she has been penalised. But why? Did she…forget to vote? At this point of the game? How?!

As these questions go through their heads, the pods slowly shut once more, hiding her body from the players. Trix suddenly runs to her pod, grieving. There's nothing they're able to do about her now. It's too late. She's dead.

As the players surround her corpse, they suddenly hear something else. The sound of a…pod opening? They turn around, and see it again. Pod A! It's opening again! As it opens, the players very clearly see the girl in it still, blood splatter on her clothes and all. But why is it reopening again?

Yet, those aren't the last of the players' surprises. A shocked gasp comes from one of them, pointing towards the pod room door. The other door, which was previously covered in dust…has now been opened. What lies on the other side? The players cry for the Bookworm, but get no response. It shouldn't be a surprise, but it is. They're left with only sorrow, anger and confusion. What could be the meaning of this? Either way, one thing is abundantly clear.

The Nonary Game is far from ending.

The players, sans Ben and Trix, still devastated, decide to walk through the door and see what's on the other side. Their footsteps echo throughout the desolate corridor as they come in. It's narrow and straight, with a door at the end, much like the ones they've seen before. It has a label and a display. [Map] The display somehow seems to be on. The label reads...

Zero.

The players exchange nervous looks among each other. The requirements are...

All remaining survivors must enter.

Clear and to the point.

On the wall is another graffiti- HAPPY, ENNIA?

"T-that's not how you spell my name", Leeloo says.

It doesn't seem that there's anywhere else to go other than the pod room.

He stopped to catch his breath before continuing. Absent was his usual vagueness, excited by the news as he was. "Has a pulse an' a heartbeat an' ev'rythin'! Pretty sure she's unconscious, but she ain't dead. Seems like the blood was ta mislead us; I found a popped balloon with some blood in it inside the pod."

Letting the news sink in, he waited a bit before adding "oh, and she has a bracelet like the rest o' us. Says 'A' 'stead of a number, hex fer 10 mebbe. Got 999 SCs somehow, whatever that might mean."
