A faint song began to rise above the outdoor auditorium, like a high-pitched whining, growing louder and louder. It wasn’t coming from the stage.
It was the distinctive call of a bagpipe, playing a threatening tune that instilled dread in the hearts of the audience.
People began talking amongst themselves, trying to discern where it was coming from.

“Look, up there!”
The crowd stared up at the dark, cloudy sky. There was something lurking there in the shadows. And was it playing a bagpipe?
BOOM! The fireworks finally launch, rocketing into the sky and hurling bright sparks in every direction. A few of them fall back toward the crowd, but thanks to some surprisingly coordinated dodging, no one is harmed.
However, the embers lingering in the sky cast their glow on the shadowy figure. It was a bagpipe-playing wraith, soaring through the air! It wore a large hat over a face that seemed brown and deformed. Perhaps it was just a trick of the light? But there was no denying that no legs emerged from its long red quilt, and it possessed no obvious means of propelling itself through the air.
As all eyes turned to the beast, its song rose to a crescendo. Long flames suddenly burst forth from the tubes of its bagpipe! They surged high into the sky, ironically frying one of Blaze’s drones to a crisp.
The crowd’s panic rose to a fever pitch as the monster dive-bombed the stage, still playing its haunting melody!
[Feel free to take whatever drastic actions you want in this scene to avoid or attack the monster. It might affect how the rest of the scene plays out.]

The obnoxiously loud shutter sound was accompanied by a brief flash of light.
"Hey, over here!" Lori shouted at the wraith from the edge of the stage, hurled a handful of gummy worms at it, then snapped another picture. She glanced at Blaze over her shoulder. "Uh. You might wanna run."

On closer inspection, it’s face appeared to be a pulsating mass of brown haggis. The goopy mass opened to reveal rows of sharp teeth, trails of haggis dripping between them. It ate the worms, quite pleased with itself.
Then it returned to its bagpipe playing, sending a stream of fire at the curtains, setting them alight. The beast then turned to acres expectantly, apparently not noticing the fireworks yet.
...
Meanwhile, Shaggy felt a hand gently tap his shoulder while he watched the carnage.
“Hey, kiddo. Mind sharing’ some of those snacks with me?” A joyful voice asked.

She took a few steps back, pocketing her giant camera, and glanced around a bit. Then Lori ducked out of sight, heading for the gap between the (still intact, mostly, probably) curtains directly behind the stage.
A moment later, her head popped out from behind the curtain and she spotted Psycho hiding next to the drums.
"Hey!" She whispered very loudly, poking her arm through the gap to beckon the keytarist. "Come on!"
She wasn't keeping her eye on Psycho, though. Lori was scanning the rest of the stage, apparently looking for someone else.

The monster spotted the attack just in time, but struggled to dodge it. The missile glanced off its apparently corporeal shoulder and ricocheted off in the distance, annihilating a food stall in a fiery explosion.
The monster stumbled off the stage and fell into the crowd behind the mystery gang. The crowd scattered out of the way, running in all sorts of directions, completely panicked.

The group backstage would discover that things weren’t entirely safe back there either. Some of the doors deeper in the facility were covered in spider-webs, and the group could hear a disturbing scuttling noise from somewhere above them.
