I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit! Which is weird, since in the middle of it I lost all motivation and didn't post. It's probably because I went and reread the whole thing.
I really enjoyed the ideas and format (mostly) for this game, and the interactions in case 1 were really fun. Reading back on the cases now, stuff wasn't as confusing or strange as it was when I was in the middle of it. I do think some things here could use a little work, though that's just me.
Mainly near the end I kept thinking why we were still bothering to solve the case, since after the soup being served early was mentioned, Bobby should've been off the table. I know there's the whole Rogue Numen thing going on, but I remember originally the idea behind the game was to try and convince a judge which side was right, so it felt strange to keep thinking about the case (so I didn't) and solving it ended up having the defense lose. Everyone won in the end, technically, but it seemed a little odd to me. Perhaps the premise all along should've been trying to solve these mysterious deaths, instead of having a competition where the side with the most convincing argument "wins" would've been better.
All of the characters were really enjoyable, though. The witnesses, and the player characters! And the format each GM post game in was really fun to read through. I'm very glad this game happened, even if my activity in the middle of it dropped super super hardcore. Was fun and I'll probably reread it again in the near future (even if I'm still a liiiiiiiiiiiittle upset about barely missing the mark in Case 1)
Thank you Panda for running this game!
