David became slightly impatient. He gazed at the presented photos, not sure what they were of.

"Mr. Johnson, would you please tell the court what relevancy these photos have?"

Drake nodded. "I took these photos inside of Jason's shop. If you'll notice, on this photo of the computer, the victim's profiles are on there. Each one of them has an interesting notice beside them." He pointed towards the note alongside each victim that had the words "Assassin, deceased" written in big, friendly, red letters.

Jason raised his right eyebrow. "I have a bad feeling about this," he stated, worried about the conclusions that might be drawn from these photos.

David frowned. 'Oh boy, is that all?' he thought to himself.

"Well, what you have presented to us is hardly conclusive. All you have shown us, is that my client has dedicated his time to some murder victims that may or may not have been assasinated. For all we know, he could have been simply researching this. Furthermore, I must wonder about this. Mr. Johnson, I do hope you have permission, or a warrant for searching through my client's computer. Otherwise, that evidence was gathered illegally. Finnaly, you have yet to tell us how this relates to the current case."

"You do not quite understand what I meant by the photos," Drake replied. "The victims weren't assassinated. They were assassins. This proves that there was some--"

Jason nodded to someone on the right. "Drake," he replied. "Assuming that they were assassins, aren't you worried that someone might be coming after you soon?"

Drake gulped, but remained firm as he replied, "No, I am not."

"Very well. Continue."

"Right. These photos prove that an assassin organization is at work here. Furthermore, look at these photos." Drake pointed to the photos that were filled with the various assassin's tools. "What do you think these are?"

David became impatient, however Johnson had just shown weakness. This could be over soon.

"Mr. Johnson you failed to answer two of my key points. Did you had permission, or a warrant to before you searched his computer? If not, then what you have just presented cannot be accepted into this court. That, and you still have yet to tell us what this has to do with the current case."

"What it has to do with the case is that it proves that the victims were assassins. Something could be going on without us knowing," Drake replied, still dodging the question regarding permission (because he knew that he had just bolted off towards the store after getting the note).

David smiled. That was the second time he has avoided his question.

"Mr. Johnson. I ask you to stop sidestepping my question. Did you, or did you not have permission or a warrant for your search?"

Drake sighed. "No. As soon as I got that note from whoever it was, I just bolted. I was desperate for clues, I wasn't thinking straight. And what happened when I got there...ugh..." he replied, remembering the unpleasant encounter with the man currently running Jason's shop.

Jason sighed. "I would consider using more caution in later investigations. You never know what might show up," he stated, hoping that this would be able to get him off the hook from being considered as an assassin.

David stood.

"Mr. Johnson. I won't ask what this note is. That is not important. What is important, is that you not only violated my client's privacy by using an illegal search, you also presented this evidence to this court. The evidence you have presented cannot be accepted by the court. Also, you have failed to give the court any relativley conclusive evidence or testimony that my client is guilty. If you have any last witnesses or legally obtainted evidence, then please present them."

"There was one other witness, but we haven't found him yet," Drake replied. "If we can have one more day, I'm certain that I can bring him in and prove the defendant guilty."

Meenyman listened to the two sides arguing about the evidence, and thought very carefully.

"Hmmm, I'm afraid you cannot use this piece of evidence. Like what the defense has said, this is not legal evidence. The court will not accept this into evidence."

"Well, to be sure you aren't trying to buy time, I'll ask you one question. Who is this witness you are speaking about?"

"His name is Ulysses. I believe that he owns a gun store," Drake replied. "Though we are uncertain as to his current whereabouts."

David scowled.

"Mr. Johnson, I wonder about your case. You have yet to even give this courtroom a reason as to why my client was arrested. Furthermore, you have made a mockery of this courtroom by basing your case on a piece of illegal evidence. In my opinion I think that you should be held in contempt, but that is up for the judge to decide. Now, on the subject of your missing witness please tell me how you have a missing witness. It seems rather faulty to me."

Meenyman considered having a recess, but at the same time thought about the defense's opinion.

"Well, I believe we should take every single possibility, after all it is the court's job to seek out the truth, not to get it done as quickly as possible. Therefore, I don't think it would bother me too much by allowing another day for investigation. But I will tell the prosecution this, if you fail to provide any more decisive evidence or have this mysterious witness on this stand by tomorrow's trial, your chances of winning this case are slim."

Meenyman hoped that giving another day would be helpful for the court, otherwise it could be just a waste of time.

"Does the defense have any objections?"

David frowned. He had done all he could to end it today, but to no avail. Nevertheless, the prosectution was a joke today. He would have no problem against it tomorrow, no matter what this witness may say. But, there was one point that he wanted to bring up.
"The defense believes that this witness does not exist. If the witness is missing, then how could the prosecution know of them? It all seems like some ruse made up to gain a little time. Thier occupation even sounds as if they just came up with it off the top of thier head."

Jason states one word.

:objection:

"Sorry David, but you are quite incorrect," he states. "This witness does exist. I know him personally. And if this trial is to reach a correct conclusion, we must have him take the stand."

Mr.Juggles wondered of a way to find out if this witness was real or not. It was quite simple.

"Well, we are in a court of law. Then I believe this witness' existence should be proven. If you can prove this witness exists, I'll allow the recess."

Jason nodded. "I happen to have much information on Ulysses. He does indeed own a gun store not too far from here. He and I often times go out for a couple drinks at the local pub. Go right ahead and ask the bartender, he can confirm it. I ran into him on the night of the murder on Elm street. We have a friendly rivalry going on with each other over our stores, given that we both sell weapons. He sells modern-day weapons, and follows all legal procedures, as do I. He does not have a family, and he was friends with each one of the victims," he answered, covering for the prosecution.

Mr.Juggles listened carefully to the prosecution's side.

"Hmm, I will accept that this witness is real. But just so you know if you do not provide this witness tomorrow, don't expect the verdict you want. Now before I adjure this court, I want to tell the prosecution to seek out further legal evidence, and find this witness' whereabouts. Also, I believe the defense should do some work as well, in case it is needed."

"Before I end court, any objections?"

David shook his head. There he was very little work left to be done. All he needed to do was keep the prosecution at bay tommorow and the case was his.

"The defense has no objections."

"No objections, your honor," Drake stated, breathing a sigh of relief. All I need to do now is find Ulysses and hope that he can make the case. If only it were that simple...

Jason put on a wide grin. Perfect, he thought. Knowing Ulysses, he's bound to show up tomorrow. And that is when I'll catch him...

Mr.Juggles heard no objections at all, so decided to finish this trial for the day.

"Very well then, I will now suspend this trial until tomorrow. Until then, I request both sides to provide further research for this case. Court is adjourned!"

Mr.Juggles raised the hand with his gavel and slammed it onto the table.
