Rehg Ular, wearing his favorite green vest, came running down the hall utterly exhausted and out of breath. His afro bouncing back and forth as he runs. He stops just in front of his new boss and exclaims "I "huff huff" im Rehg "huff" Ular sir. I'm replacing "huff" Miss. Sho as you prosecuting aid sir!"

Spikes Mailliw turned and gave him a good, long stare.

"huh...thats nice..."

They shook hands. (left, of course)

"ok, rookie. I want you to go to Mr. Woodman's room and ask him a few questions. Here, take this note. It'll tell you what to ask him. If you think of anything else, ask him.......this is asuming that you have read the summary of the investigation already?"

He gave Rehg a list of things to ask.

Without waiting for an answer, he tapped on the Director's window twice once again. this time, more insistantly.

"I'll meet you later, alright?"

"The seventeenth? Well, from the time the opera started to the time Lizst was shot, I was either on-stage, in my dressing room, backstage, or in transit between one of the three places. As for what happened, the opera went on without a hitch--at least until Liszt was shot.

He sighed. "I just don't understand this whole thing. Richard's a good friend of mine; I know him like I know my cousin Ben. He hated Liszt with a passion, but murder--let alone in front of at least three hundred witnesses--is just something I can't imagine him doing."

((Where Spikes is))

"It's open," Virginia said.

((Where Rehg is))

"I wasn't on stage, no. As for the shot... I can't remember. It's supposed to just be part of the act, so if I did hear it, I guess I didn't give it any thought. Well... Hm... I guess if I can hear the orchestra during a performance when I'm in my dressing room, I probably heard the shot... I was kind of focused on something else at the moment."

Spikes opened the door and closed it behind him. He turned and looked sternly at the Director.

"Madam Wagner."

He bowed deeply, throwing his arm out behind him as he spoke.

"My apologies. My Predecessor collected insufficient information. I need to ask you a few further questions. I won't be long. do you have time?"

"I have all day," Virginia said tersely.

((Where Rehg is))

"I wasn't needed during the second scene, so I was backstage during that time. There wasn't anything special I had to do, so I just relaxed in my dressing room until I was needed again for the third scene. And as for seeing people... Hm... Unless you count someone from the crew coming when the third scene began, I didn't see anyone during the second scene. If you count when I was waiting for my cue to go on-stage, I saw Richard, Mr. Smetak, Ms. Rossaldi, Ms. Holgar, and the extras. They were all backstage waiting for their cues."

Ok. how many people know where Richard's costume was kept?

Also, how long do Part Time workers usually stay at the Opera House? How many months?

Oh, yes, and how long is the space between each act?"

((Where Spikes is))

"Considering that everyone's costumes were in their respective rooms, I'd imagine everyone knew where Mr. Glinkirev's costumes were kept. As for part-time workers, it's usually just one or two months, though we have had some who have been with us for close to a year. And the two intermissions are both a little less than fifteen minutes, while there are also three pauses to allow time for the scene to be changed. Two of those were about five minutes, the third around three."

((Where Rehg is))

"Ah!" Rufus extended his index finger upwards, indicating something had come to him. "I forgot! Sometime earlier during the performance, I dropped my wallet in the hallway. I thought someone might have found it and left it in their dressing room, so I looked around during the second scene. Ms. Wagner had found it and returned it to me right after I had checked Richard's room."

"If they're needed on-stage early in the next scene, they're called backstage. Otherwise, they're allowed to return to their dressing rooms to do as they please, provided they're ready for their next scene when they're called. If they have to change costumes for the next scene, they will use that time to do that, too."

"Thank you. You have no idea how helpful you've just been."

Spikes took the wallet and inspected it carefully, moving each piece inside with a very large claw.

"Excellent......I need to take this as evidence. Here."

He gave Woodman a strange looking black card which looked a little worse for wear. There was a large slash mark on the front.

"You may use that to buy what you need until you recieve it back. Know that anything you buy will be charged to your account. I cannot guarantee that anything within it will be returned safely. Thanks for your cooperation and all that junk. Any questions?"
He said all this as it had been rehearsed and looked down upon Woodman with a look that spelled "Ask and Die." quite clearly.

"No, no questions," Rufus lied, concluding from the look the prosecutor gave him that he would not be answered. He walked over to the chair in front of the vanity to sit down, but slipped on a magazine lying on the floor. "Hahk!" He landed on his rear end with a loud thud. "Oof!" The magazine flew up, then landed in Rufus's lap, open to an article on Richard. "Ergh..." he growled, massaging the area around his tailbone.

"...Yes, well....If that's all, then I think I'll take my leave. Rehg! Make sure you squeeze as much info as you can from anyone you speak to. I'm heading over to the detention center, and then to the Department of Criminal affairs to pick up more evidence. I'll meet you back at the office later, alright?"

Spikes walked out the door, but not before giving Rehg a less angry, more helpful glance towards the chair.

He walked out of the Opera house, having recieved quite enough info from them already. He opened the door of the Detention center and asked to see Richard. He sat down with his back to the window in a collapsing metal chair and waited...
