Friendly advice, wrong section. You want it in the GS3, not GS2 section :godot:

Second, in all honesty, if that happens the parents are ignorant people. I'm sorry, but to make a child stop playing a game because a character is, or appears to be, gay...that's just plain stupidity, And as for Capcom having to watch their characters, they shouldn't have to. If they want to make a game full of crazy/gay characters, then go for it. If a gay chef destroys the Phoenix Wright games....well, it just goes to show more corruption in this world and how people are only accepting of people like themselves. If people would just accept people as they were and not bash them because they're different, this world could truly start to become a more peaceful and happy place.

Okay, enough ranting :shoe:

The only parents who would do that are the ones who would flip out anyway just because their kids are playing games that have murders and suicides and spirit-channeling that increases measurements.

The point is moot anyway, as the games are rated T and one of the reasons is "Suggestive themes." This certainly covers Hotti and probably the "gayness" of Armstrong (although I don't really know as I'd call that a suggestive theme...) Anyway, this hypothetical parent's objection would be denied by the judge. :udgy:

Yes, it's not like you aren't warned by the rating.

I fail to see why a parent would let their young kid play Phoenix Wright. They aren't little kids games, there's violence and murder and blood, and that's a lot worse for them than stereotypical homosexuality, wouldn't you say? (Hell, there's mild cussing once or twice, even...)

You can't sue someone for having a gay person in their game. Being gay isn't exactly illegal.

.... something tells me an Oldbag rant would be needed here.

Granted, I got nothin' against 'em, but one thing is ironic about the series:

It was posted a while back, that a University Professor used Phoenix Wright in a Law presentation, I believe.

T&T didn't have suggestive themes listed as one of the descriptors for the Teen rating. Also, considering all the heat over games like GTA and Postal, I highly doubt parents are going to be worried about Phoenix Wright.

Having scenes of a gay guy isn't illegal. Don't you watch TV? I don't, but apparently there's gay people everywhere. The game was made in Japan, and Japan has no laws against homosexual activity. In fact, it has some legal protections for homosexuals.

And here I was thinking Extreme like... naked whitewater rafting down Eagle River... or something.

Considering the fact that Grand Theft Auto continues to be made. Well. I can't see a few parents whose delicate sensibilities were harmed by flamboyant culinary disasters hurting the series. :3

I think it's been soundly proven already that Your Mom Doesn't Care About Phoenix Wright. Also, implying that just having a gay character in a game is grounds for "suing" anyone is pretty childish.

Also, we've had this thread before, so buh bye~
