In 3-3... the sports paper... where did Mask*DeMasque come from? Maybe... the victim is Mask*DeMasque??? (It's not true, though)

In 3-5... Gumshoe stated that he has no electricity, but later he says that he makes Instant Noodles using his microwave. That's contradicting itself.

It was just a doodle that Glen made. It was a little joke/reference that tied the 2 cases together mildly.

Ah, a contradiction, indeed. : :gant-clap:

And small hiccups like that are unfortunately very common in the Ace Attorney series. I blame the localization team. But when you're having to come up with so many pop culture references as well as original jokes and puns while translating the plot from another language, I think you deserve to be cut a break. :nick:

I'm going to play through the JP edition and see if it's still there.

This. Although when Gumshoe tells Edgeworth he reads by candlelight, Edgeworth asks him 'Detective... can you not afford to pay the electricity bill?'. To which Gummy replies 'How did you know?' (I thought that was cute. Poor guy :( )

Cutting to the chase, it's easily explained- he does have electricity, but.. possibly our good detective is now getting in some debt! (Despite the advice he gave Phoenix in 3-3) :beef: Lighting candles is so that he doesn't use more than he needs, whereas using the microwave is a necessity for him. Cooking noodles. Perhaps cooking them on a hob would cost more in gas/electricity..

An idea! He has a microwave, but it doesn't work. He makes instant noodles by having them over fire. You don't even need gas. And if it were true, Gumshoe has beans.

Perhaps he doesn't run his microwave on electricity...perhaps he runs it on.... the energy produced by hamsters in one of those running wheels!? :keiko:

I still say he owns a microwave but never uses it because he can't. Or he steals electricity. It fits Scruffy.

Or he could spin the glass plate so fast that it creates heat and warms the noodles....
*goes off into crazy daydream about how a detective cooks instant noodles*
