So yeah, as I have been posting in this thread before, I only can say that I got spoiled from my cousin. He just said straight out that Diego and Godot are the same person. I could kill him for that.

Just kidding.

But seriously, I knew that Diego Armando is Godot. Ever since Diego held a cup of coffee and we all know how much Godot loves coffee-- yeah, you pretty much know that the both of them are one person.

My sister thought Diego was the twinbrother from Godot and then Diego dumped Mia, then he died and Godot came as if nothing happened. I dunno, she has some strange thoughts.. :beef:

I thought he was Godot's long lost brother or something. It is clearer when he asks Wright if he knew how he got "killed".

There is a hint before that, though. That's when he let's Phoenix do his final cross-examination after he sees Maya channel Mia in case 2.

Yes. But with Iris and Dahlia, your first idea could of course be that Dahlia escape from prison, dyed her hair and decided to move to some temple in the middle of nowhere to not be found out. The "twist" there is a revelation that there IS family relation going on in the form of twins.

...I have the feeling whatever I say sounds weird, so here's another attempt. Yes, you can think that. But in Godot's case, it was just... TOO obvious. At least with Iris there was some attempt at making her look different, even if it was just a change of clothes. Armando and Godot wear the same clothes, except one wears red the other green.

In the original and very early games, yes, they were palette swaps. But now they look different enough that they are not mistaken for each other.

I really wish he wasn't just an inverted Godot with the same hairstyle and all. Then it would be cooler or whatever when his theme started playing. If they actually tried to make it at least a little bit surprising.

Makes me wonder though, what he thought when he got out of the coma and bought clothes looking excactly like his old, only in other colours. Did he specifically look for such clothes? Or did he run into them randomly in a store and thought that's what he's comfortable wearing? And did he choose other colours to match his visor and/or new hair better, or had they just run out of red shirts and black ties that day?

He actually first left the hospital with only his vest on, realized he was cold and bought a green shirt to wear. Why did he leave without a shirt first? Cause it was red.

Boom! New headcanon! And it makes sense.

It's easy to forget. But Armando is mentioned to be the lawyer who was poisoned in the courthouse caféteria. I think he's not mentioned by name in the article, but by Grossberg.

I actually remembered that a guy called Diego Armando was mentioned in case 1,so for me that moment was more like Godot's identity being revealed.

It was about halfway through 3-4 that I realized that Diego Armando was the same person who was poisoned before 3-1. I never made the connection between him and Gosot until The Fragrance of Dark Coffee played at the end of 3-4. I'm not that oblivious these days.

Yes I knew from the moment he appeared. I also knew who Cece Yew was the moment I saw her. But unlike Cece, I don't think anyone COULD not realize Diego is Godot. It's impossible.

Like others said, I can understand the character theme can be a real giveaway. But it can also be deceiving. When Phoenix sees Iris picture on the magazine, Dahlia's Theme is played. So it strongly reinforces the belief that she is Dahlia.
