Mysteriously Enlarging Avatars

For a few days, I've been witnessing some shocking avatar size enlargements whenever I enter a topic. For example, when I opened up the Court Records Christmas Ball RP I see that Justis' avatar is much larger than the 200x200 length-width limit. Am I the only one to have noticed this?

EDIT: I just checked the specs on each person whose avatar seems to have grown. They're well over the 200x200 limit. The persons I've counted so far are Justis76, denerop, scarred_owl, and Kenny57. Is this deliberate or is it something else?

That's odd. I just entered the same topic and Pieere's avatar seemed smaller than what it usually was.

Even in their profile, it shows the avatar as the size it is on the board.

So, there's a basis for why you 'could' see an oversized image. Because the source image IS oversized. But, I'm not seeing how you can be seeing it.

Was gonna say but when you changr your avii can't to put in what size you want for it?
Like when i changed mine i leftt the same siz as the old one and the new aviu got streched untill i changed the size.
I don't kno if that helps or i'm stating the obivous.

This happens in IE6 (LOL).

Yeah, I'm getting this problem too, the avy grows over the username, but that's just because the computer I use on weekends is severely broken, if that's the correct word for it.

I can't vouch for the others, but I've made my avatar exactly 200 x 200. If they really do exceed the limit, I'm not sure why.
