Wocky? Where's Fullwinkle? [*trayed for Rocky and Bullwinkle ref]

I wonder if they'll even make a remote reference to the old Sylvester Stalone Rocky movies.

Klavier... Why oh why the german accent..... My sides... Hahaha... They're exploding.... Haha-AGH~!

I'm betting Wocky's full name is Wocky Wacoon, a reference to Rocky Raccoon (by the Beatles). Another music reference, and it fits Takita's nature (and story, sorta) perfectly.

Spoiler:
Was shot, is hot headed about his girlfriend, gets redeemed, etc.

And i think this is very funny...

Garyuu Wave = Gavinners???

Sounds like Gewinner (which means "Winners")

The only name I'm not really fond of is Shadi, actually. Wocky's just such a ridiculous name for Takita's attempt at being tough, it's great.

So how do you pronounce it properly? Wouldn't it be more German (assuming the Gavins are from Germany)?

I was pronouncing it "Kla-vee-ay" because of my habit of pronouncing -ier like that. The more english version of it is "Klav-yur."

Oh God, I love this so much. The random German is just amazing. Klavier calling the judge "Herr Judge" makes me think of Hellsing and Herr Major :redd: I want this game to be released! They seem to be fairly far along the localisation process to me.

Herr Judge...dear god...whats next...

Actually, after the initial shock, I am very much attached to the name Wocky.

And were does the "belt" in Borscht Belt come from? Capcom, I'm so confused!

I did a little research into Borscht Belt (read: I typed it into Google) and found a couple of neat pieces of info: Borscht itself is a kind of soup, but Borscht Belt is actually a name for the summer resorts in a certain part of upstate New York:

Borscht page on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borscht

Quote:
Borscht is a vegetable soup from Eastern Europe, which is traditionally cooked including beetroot as a main ingredient[1][2] which gives it a strong red color. Other, non-beet varieties also exist, such as the tomato paste-based orange borscht and the green borscht (sorrel soup).

Borscht Belt on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borscht_Belt

Quote:
Borscht Belt is an informal term for the summer resorts of the Catskill Mountains in Sullivan and Ulster Counties in upstate New York which were a popular holiday spot for New York Jews. (Borscht is a kind of beet soup popular with people of Eastern European origin.) The term Borscht Belt can also refer to the Catskill region itself. In late August each summer, the Catskills Institute (based at Brown University) holds a two-day conference examining Jewish culture in the Catskills.

"Wocky" makes me think of the poem "Jabberwocky". Maybe he jabbers a lot...?

Oh and German-speaking Klavier = win, because I love cute foreigners.

Quote:
Klavier calling the judge "Herr Judge" makes me think of Hellsing and Herr Major

Me too. It would be awesome if they made a Hellsing reference in the game (like Klavier saying 'I love war' before a trial).
You have to ask...? Really? Well... It's because I am your friend.

Hot damn, you're right. Well, that's mildly exciting. :D
Now, back On-Topic. Klavier's random use of German words reminds me awfully of someone I know....If he calls anyone 'Fraua ...' or attempts to start a round of 'Deutsch Factor' I'm going to be very pleased.
