As far as TV dramas are, on the other hand, they're not that bad at all. Absolute Boyfriend was better than the manga by far.

There's an Absolute Boyfriend drama? Link please. I just discovered the manga a few weeks ago.
Some dramas are comedic in nature. Gilmore Girls had a lot of dramatic moments and plots, but it was funny at the same time. However, Phoenix Wright is a different kind of humor from a show like that.

It's not that humongo-- only 11 episodes. Eleven, really good episodes. : )

Even if its just like a small cameo in a movie or something XD
I would watch that movie like 12 times.
This would be great, but also take some getting used to.
If its real, I hope the suits look more realistic and not a weird fakeish blue, more like a darker blue that can still be Phoenix Like.
But I'm all in for crazy hair.

Boston Legal is considered a drama. If you've ever seen Boston Legal, you may be going "WTF?" I couldn't believe that it's considered a drama...like on the award shows and stuff.
So, drama's can have good bits of humor, as long as the underying idea is full of drama.

Are there any examples of Western Dramas that might be similar to Japanese Dramas? I think someone mentioned Boston Legal already as a comedic drama, but I know others exist. I personally thought Veronica Mars was very funny, but dramatic as well. However, I don't know anything about Japanese Dramas so I don't know how similar or different they are from Western shows that could be categorized as dramadies.

You're right, I've never watched a live-action Japanese drama. As long as they realize a show based on a video game is not Serious Business(TM) then it might be okay.
Still. They'd have to do a lot of adapting to not make it look totally retarded from a character design standpoint.
