Deduction:
The corpse was hit by the bulk of a book, found in a bookcase behind the victim's back →
Initially the victim was "staring" at the bookcase, then was shot in the back, blood covered by the powder that shook when the book fell. When he was on the ground, he was shot again in the stomach.
Contradictions:
The victim was shot in the stomach and blood was covered by powder, the location of the bullet was low.
→ Re-ordered the book. It's a well-known book.
Edgeworth tells about the book to Gumshoe. They found the victim's last message ("DAIINGUMESSEJI"=dying message?)
Prosecutor Yukki (Makoto) appeared.
He identified himself and shook hands with an officer. He took the camera next to the victim and took a TSUSHOTTO ("photo of two persons")
He was a victim of a "RYOU." (???)
Makoto investigates
They focus on the victim's dying messsage ("DAIINGUMESSEJI") (the book cover-scattering)
"I received a message from you" (Thx JG~!)
Said the criminal was Gumshoe
Said in the message that Gumshoe was the criminal
Edgeworth was locked on the thought that the suspect was Gumshoe
He was in a rough spot, he wanted the death of the perpetrator, and Gumshoe couldn't be a criminal.
Gumshoe said that Maggey Byrde knew a key fact, and that he was not the only one that had a master key (to open the office door).
Security guard Maggey Byrde appears (She seems to have changed her job to a security guard)
Maggey: "Gumshoe~" (Thx JG~!)
Edgeworth says: "There's a lack of clues. We must investigate further!"
And it goes on in the complete game!

And the only time Gumshoe and Maggey appear as a couple is at the end of 3-5, if I'm not mistaken, and she doesn't call him in any way.

A lot of "Ryou" Chinese characters exist.
