Why has it been taken over by a bunch of egotistical, self-important morons who never even use the forums, nay, actively dislike them?

Can we have some sort of overhaul and actually be able to use them without getting kicked as soon as one ventures as far as "hello"?
It's turned into a cliquey little group who never talk but just hang around ready to kick the next CR user who logs in.

I thought the general idea was that the web chat was to provide somewhere for forum goers to chat without creating lengthy drama-filled, bandwidth galomping chat topics.

Can we have that back please?

tl;dr: Get those dimwits out of there and let us use it properly.

I remember when this was originally added. Unfortunate to hear that it's now under the thumb of trolls, but even when it was new it did not get very heavy use.

Whilst I agree with restoring this often-overlooked feature of the site, there isn't much point unless it can be made to be more popular than it was even at its best - in the ballpark of 15+ users (not channel ops) on at once. Maybe nearer AAI's release?
