Okay, so I got an email from a fan. Turns out there's a "Trials after Justice" in the Capcom catalog…. kinda.

Go to Capcom.com/us/

Click on "Games" at the top.

Then Click on Nintendo DS...

You'll see a game with a suspect icon...

Image

I think someone was lazy at Capcom and just copied whatever they found off Google, but it's still funny. But if you're interested in playing said game… viewtopic.php?f=36&t=12389

For a second there I read the topic title and thought they were naming GS5 like SBX's fangame, and the "really Capcom?" was intended to say "Name's taken, you idiots."

Close enough, but thank God it wasn't that.

Likewise.

I also thought if they did name it that then it's a brutal shot in the ribs to Apollo Justice.

...I honestly wouldn't be too uncomfortable with that. I do feel horrible about that, though.

Anyway, just checked: it's still there. Also, Bolt, I can't thank you enough for that link.

I'm still waiting for someone to post to make a new topic about this here and cite GAF as the source, mutating the GAF -> Internet -> GAF trend to CR -> GAF -> CR.

(Explanation: On GAF it's frequent for someone to post something, some news site to pick it up, and then someone on GAF to make a new topic for it citing that news site. Hence GAF -> Internet -> GAF.)

Regarding confusion over the name, on my case, I didn't think Capcom named GS5 Trials after Justice, but rather, they were marketing the game as if Apollo was to be forgotten.

NeoGAF, a large and fairly famous (though bear in mind the context) gaming forum. I linked it above as "Capcpom".

Oh... Wow... Just wow! It's probably my biggest dream to have this happen. I mean, I just made a website for Trials after Justice a few days ago, and never expected to see this happen. Thank you for the heads up Wooster. Woulda seen it sooner if that Tornado warning wasn't lingering around lately. :redd:

Maybe it's really the leaked name for GS5. I mean it kinda makes sense since it's called "Trials after Justice" and GS5 takes place after Apollo Justice. YEAHHH!!!

In that case, wouldn't it have made more sense if GS4 was called Justice For All instead of GS2? =)
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

Woulda been poor farsight on their behalf then if they did plan on doing that.

At when I look at it its being used as the "cover" for Trials and Tribulations. I guess someone google phoenix wright trials or something and didn't bother to check.

Still that's really funny, and great marketing for the fan game.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

Great marketing for Capcom and the fangame, seeing as how it would be a nice scoop on a video games site that lists a company accidentally promoted a fangame.

Oh my god, Capcom. Really!?

I literally laughed for about half an hour and then I checked the website again to see if it's still here.

It's just so funny because they just copied the picture and put it into their game catalog. Pff. XD

The beginning was quite fun, just with all the ups and downs

IT'S STIL THERE! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

What kind of amateurism is this?! Somebody should blackmail Capcom over this, so that we'd get AAI-2 localized without a hitch.
