Not really GS news, but slightly related, so worth mentioning:
Today it was announced that TV Tokyo will show a TV drama based on Awasaka Tsumao's famous A Aiichirou series this fall.
Takumi Shuu is known to have mentioned Awasaka Tsumao as one of the major influences on him as a detective writer. The
A Aiichirou series in particular has been referenced several times in the series. DL-6 for example is a reference to
The Flight DL2 Incident, Awasaka's debut story and the first
A Aiichirou story, while in GS1-5, a label with AI-16 is mentioned (which can be read as Ai-ichiro). Furthermore, Awasaka was an ex-magician, so that might have been the inspiration for Max and those GS4 characters.
The series itself is about a handsome cameraman (A Aiichirou) who really just happens to solve some really strange incidents he keeps coming across. (
I loved the first short story collection, so definitely going to watch this)
