Thanks for the heads up JapaneseGirl!

Really disappointing about investigations and the Wiimote. I actually thought that they'd make corrections for that. It's not like they'll be able to avoid it when "Rise from the Ashes" gets released.

So we can't point in investigations?

Just adding to the heap of disappointment this idea turned out to be.

On the DS version, you could use the 'X' button to present evidence in place of the touch control. On the wiiware version, this is substituted with waggle. How do you present evidence if waggle is disabled?

So question. Will the spelling errors and mistakes get fixed from the english DS release when it comes out, or are they going to be lazy enough not to care?
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

Mmm... that's a good point. I personally would enjoy keeping 'the miracle never happen' line in GS2, particularly since it got referenced in GS3. Though, that line was fixed in GS2 by the second PAL release.

This just underlines that the WiiWare release is pretty much for people who haven't played the games yet and/or don't want to or can buy them for the DS. It's just such a lackluster experience for everyone who has the games already.

I don't remember the actual quote, but Phoenix's monolog goes something like, "And a miracle occurred, one that Tigre hoped would never happen."

Gotta love it when the localizers have enough spine to poke fun at themselves.

I'd still like to get this, as it's on the big screen, has somewhat of a new interface, and allows both me and my brothers to play through it. Any way to get to Japanese WiiWare on an American Wii? Eh, I doubt it...

If you mod your Wii, maybe. Region-locking is an obnoxious beast, no?
The DRM protection of video games.
The DSi is like that as well.

You can soft-mod your Wii by putting certain files onto an SD card, putting that SD card in the Wii and copying them across. You can then load homebrew games, emulators and backups onto the Wii - even off an external hard drive. I've done it myself and it's pretty straight forward. You can also download WiiWare games in the form of "WADs" but that's obviously illegal.

DRM is sort of different from region locking. DRM isn't to do with region but rather how many times you can install the game and installation authentication. Breaking region locking isn't generally seen as illegal but breaking DRM is seen as some form of copyright infringement (even if you legally bought the game to begin with).

This. The GameSpot video showed the "-" button being used for presenting evidence in PW1 in the courtroom. That still begs the question of what happens when there are instances of "X" and "R" being available at the same time (e.g. you're in "Present" mode and you can switch to the profile list when looking at a single item).

Well they had to modify the script slightly to mention the Wii remote controls, so they "might" have fixed the spellings errors. But it depends if the person creating the WiiWare port knows of the spelling errors in the English script.

I just download the WiiWare version and modified the WAD I dumped to work on the US Wii.

Shaking the WiiRemote sucks as you have to swing it very hard to get it to work. I'll just stick with the good old buttons.

Also it seems there is going to be downloadable content. Not sure what they are going to offer. Perhaps the extra case will be downloaded from that. I'll just have to wait and see. :maya:

Considering how lazy Capcom was in making this remake, we can be sure the downloadable content will be 1-5, as you rightly suggested.

Seriously, this remake is a joke... :yogi:

It's not a remake. It's just a port from DS to Wii(ware).

Hey hey guys, we're not sharing mod stuff for the Wii. I know it's not the same as sharing roms but still, be patient for the US release.
