Well, you and friends choose a stage and character, and then you run around and kell eachother. Then not much more to the game then that. Apart from story mode where it's the same thing with story line. It may just be me but me and everyone else I know that has the game tends to think of it as fighting... But I guess we all have our own opinions

Mike Meekins NEVER used that knife, however, that would be the Security Guard Jake Marshall who was wielding the Knife!
YET...You claimed 'he was cornered and had a knife in his hand' - the video evidence clearly informed us that it was only Marshall who used one!
Everyone merely assumed it was Meekins because of his location to the scene. There is little evidence to suggest any knife was held by him!
Furthermore...he is holding a Police Stick, not a Knife.

We thought that since they make jokes about Phoenix always pointing, he could have a special move where his finger flies off like a rocket and explodes and a million fingers shower over everyone and explode on them! And he could have a finger whip or some move where his hair grows and stabs people.
And like you said, Franziska could use a whip. And the throwing evidence yelling "Take That!" is so awesome! Manfred von Karma could use his stun gun.
I think Jean Armstrong could just be some physical fighting person that punches and stuff... And I think (if you're counting Apollo Justice) that Trucy could use magic and she could make Mr. Hat attack
, pull weapons out of her Magic Panties, and other stuff. Vera Misham could have moves where she draws something and it becomes real and it attacks people. 
And Apollo could be like Phoenix Wright... Klavier Gavin could have supersonic sound and use a guitar and microphone! 
And the Kitaki lady could fight with her broom-sword. 
Ema Skye could spill chemicals, use injection needles, and throw Snackoos at people! 
Olga Orly could throw bowls/cups/plates/food at people. 
Daryan can have some crazy hair attacks... 
Maya and Pearl could channel people who could fight for them or have some spiritual power attacks.
Edgeworth could use a knife because they say he owned a knife in the Rise From The Ashes case. And he could also fight with his King of Prosecutors award!
I think Godot/Diego Armando could fight with his coffee mug and have acid coffee! And he can spit acid coffe at people!
Or he can take off his mask and throw it at someone and it explodes or use it as a boomerang.Luke Atmey can use his Atmey Fighting Style! That would be funny! I think the police chief Gant guy could have lightning because when he was exposed as an evil guy he looked like he was getting struck by lightning.
Mike Meekens could also have supersonic sound with his megaphone. And he can have moves where he attacks people by "accident."Shelly de Killer could even be in it!
And Matt Engarde could scratch because it seems he has really sharp nails. 
Or he could call in Secret Service-like people to fight for him! Redd White could do that, too! Adrian Andrews could throw books at people or shatter her glasses on people. 
Wendy Oldbag could be in her space suit thing and shoot people with her cute little gun. 
Or have a move where words shoot out of her mouth. Oh, and the Victor old man guy with bird seeds could throw seeds at people! 
There could also be the Steel Samurai, Nickel Samurai, Jammin Ninja, and Pink Princess!
