The moment I saw your entry I was like, "OMG, HILARIOUS." We had a lot of great fanart entries this year, but for my CChoice I wanted to pick the one I thought could most realistically appear in the games, and something about Isaac's design just screamed "I'm an Ace Attorney Character!" to me. I could totally imagine him in sprite form.

As for the rest of the voting... 1st and 2nd were both chosen by the community, so you'll have to take that up with them! But I will say that I kept a careful log of the votes over the course of the competition (every few hours, whenever I could) and I didn't notice any particular spikes that would indicate friend-voting, and the IP block should have prevented re-voting. It was as fair as a contest of this type could have been, and I'm perfectly happy with the results.

I notice my comment seemed to have stirred up a hornets nest; please understand that that wasn't my intention at all. :( I was just saying that for me personally I judge the originality of the characters the highest, and that's who I thought should've won based on that. But that's the thing about contests, it's not about what I think. It's about what the community thinks, and it seems the community voted on what entries they liked best. So congrats to the winners.

I still think Chancellor Moore is the best though. XD

If it's any consolation, I looked at Chancellor as a arch rival of sorts, being the closest to me for most of the contest.

Congratulations on everyone who won. This was the first time I ever entered in a contest for Phoenix Wright stuff and it was fun seeing all the creativity in the community. I was literally in shock over some of the cool connections everyone thought of.

As to those complaining about "from scratch" blah blah... Isn't it already great that you guys got to the finals? It was a really tough competition this year, as I see, and so many people didn't even get to finals. And I can bet that everyone that didn't make it was bitter at some point or another. But no one took it as far as whining about it. Seriously... I feel like this right now... --> Like a judge said up there, the contest was to see if you can create a character that could fit right in the game. There are many ways to be "advanced" in technique and utilize sprites from the game and still be very original. And from what I saw, it isn't only about the "skills" of the sprite or fanart. It's also about the backstory, too, I think. So tough if you spent little on the back story. There's always next year. And in the end, this really is an event to showcase the creativity of the people that love the game. So calm down. Bitter losers cannot be winners ever.
