Has anyone uploaded the songs from the case yet? It sounds like they're not nearly as bad as everyone thought they'd be.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

Do you know what penguin dude's English name is yet?

Spoiler: for safety's sake
They refer to him as "Dr. Crab" but I haven't met him yet, and so I don't know his full name yet.

It came out for you already?

It came out 12PM AEST I believe (I live in Australia, and it's the 21st here.)

@D.A.McCoy: I can easily record the audio of the opening song clearly, just not the video. I could try?

Don't worry about it, I'll be playing it in a couple of days. I was only going to take a look if someone had already done it, so not worries. :edgey:

I totally expected that, it's not that uncommon.

Anyway, I don't have my 3DS handy right now; gotta wait 'til Saturday. Nothing much I can do about that.

Two minutes left. Sitting here in a dark room listening to Phil Collins and drinking black coffee, using this as an excuse to procrastinate on my work. I'm savoring the remaining minutes.

I'll let everyone know if its up, although I'd imagine you guys are checking too.

EDIT: It's there! Downloading now!

OK, I'm about to download, but as I said previously in order for me to use my credit card, I have to switch my region settings. At the suggestion of another member I tried to switch to Mexico and...

in the game the price is $MX 99.99

First off, what kind of currency is $MX? I can't find what it is on the web. Do they mean Mexican Pesos?

Considering the exchange rate for Mexican Pesos makes that $7.64 USD, I'd say that's Mexican Pesos. Its actual three-letter currency name is MXN, but I guess Mexicans don't use that when referring to their own currency.

I surmised as much, since after a while a remembered that MXN99.99 really isn't a lot, and after I ran it through a converter with Philippine Pesos I got an actual price of conversion. So I downloaded it and will play soon. :will:

Well, at least Hunger Games fans should be able to breeze through this case before starting to see "Catching Fire" tomorrow. What's also interesting is that you can also access this case separately from regular gameplay

Also, I heard Athena and DePlume ("Adele") sing...
DePlume can't sing... it was more like she talked it, Athena's was ok, but Sasha's version is better.

So, considering this case takes place before everything else that happens in this game, do we assume that this detective is actually the real Bobby Fulbright this time, or is this still.....
he phantom in disguise as Bobby Fulbright? Just that no one in the case is supposed to know this yet.
Considering this is a case that Phoenix takes right after he gets his badge back.

Probally still the phantom because in the regular storyline Fulbright has been dead for a year unless though if from this case to the original story has a one year lapse then yes it could be the real Fulbright

Random question, but is the case inserted into the progresssion of story cases? Like if I were to replay the game as one, would it go straight from Case 2 to DLC to Case 3?

If you mean in the menu of cases, no. It's accessed from the main menu, marked with "Special Episode". Like with the other cases, you have the choice to start from the beginning or any of the predetermined major flag points. It's chronologically set between cases 2 and 3.

I've finished the case already... and am sorely regretting not pacing myself :yogi: Ah well; for it's worth, I'll say it really was an awesome case :jake:

And about the villain... (I don't know how to add labels to the spoiler tag, so I'll just put it here: Spoilers: Villain and turnabout twist mentioned)
Spoiler:
Honestly, I thought for a while that Marlon Rimes was the true villain; there weren't very many characters to choose from other then our clients, and I highly doubted that Crab or DePlume were the culprits due to Crab being another 'seemingly sinister but with a good heart' character, and DePlume being... her. However the final twist where the fact that he ended up actually not killing anyone in the end came as a pleasant surprise to me. In a weird way, I kinda liked having a case without a 'villain' for once; having a 'good' villain it's something they haven't done before (unless you count Acro... though I don't), so it was a refreshing twist :jake: .

Also when Pearl appears in case 5 Phoenix mentions that Apollo and Athena only meet Peal a few months before meaning that the real Fullbright must have been dead by then.

I finished it. Great case, but I have to say it was kind of awkward going back and playing it after finishing the game. You've already gone through the full AA curve, from intro case to "filler" case(s) to the grand finale. Going back almost a month later from that to another filler case out of the blue just feels sort of... odd. To me, anyway.

Would definitely, definitely agree with the sentiment that the case is best played between cases 2 and 3 of the main game, and not as a little bonus a month later. I would probably have enjoyed it more if I'd done that (and I enjoyed it a lot as is).

It's actually really simple. You know how the opening flag for spoiler has an = in it? Just type in the label there. For instance, <spoiler=Villain and turnabout twist mentioned>BLAH</spoiler> would yield:
Spoiler: Villain and turnabout twist mentioned

Okay. I finished the DLC case within the 24 hours it was out. :)

I have to say, it was pretty good. Though I was disappointed about the ending.

Spoiler: DLC Case
I wish I actually got to see the new pirate show at the end. Instead they just cut black to the end. :P

Also, whoever cut me out of this forum for 24 hours because of my previous post here in this topic, I actually "tried" putting spoilers in there. Someone should have gotten all sides of the story. You can't say there was no spoiler tags. I know it was probably full game spoilers, but still at least there was a spoiler tag there. Just apparently not all the way through. A mod/admin PM warning should have been enough for that to do its damage, not a 24 hour cut off from the forum. I think that was a bit extreme.
But whatever the matter was settled, and the damage was done. So, continuing with whatever, :P

Regarding that
Spoiler: Costume
it automatically unlocks once you finish the dlc case and you can use it for the main game as well. On that note the costume design was perfectly fitting for each of Wright's usual reactions in court.
