You only get to get the plushie at Gamestop if you preordered the game. At least, thats what I got from it. Wish they would have offered a Maya plushie too. That would have been too adorable for words.

Nono, it's small even for a plushie. Like, three inches tall. I was expecting it to be more like five or six.
I've never liked Gamestop. If not for the preorder bonus, I would've avoided them like the plague and just picked it up from Best Buy or something. The plushie seemed worth it!

Worst part is that when I went to the store and they said they didn't have it and I told him that someone told me I'd be able to get it today, he looked me like I was lying. Aww. I just turned around and mumbled "Great, now Daddy is going to be mad at me...." and walked out because I am lame like that.
I'd better get the plushie tomorrow or I will be incredibly sad....
At least I got that odd automated phone call tonight, so I'd better really be able to get it tomorrow~

You can't seriously expect Gamestop to pay someone to call every single person who's reserved something. Think of the nightmare that would be when big games like Halo are about to come out.
And you can't put too much blame on Gamestop (although you can certainly load a bit of it on). Other places have been displaying the whole October 23rd release date, like Court Records (sorry). Ah well. You've all waited a whole extra two months. An extra day is nothing compared to the great reward of actually getting and playing the game.

There has never been a time, other than specifically declared "launch days", that you've been able to purchase a videogame on the day that you preordered it for. It's something of an unwritten rule, and one that screws people over, unfortunately.

I was able to pick up Nintendogs the day it came out specifically, but i wasn't able to o.o Other games I've pre-ordered (like, ages ago) I was able to pick up the exact day it said it'd be out, this is a first for me.
But I don't pre-order games hardly at all, so I really don't know >_>

Remember when shops didn't have many copies of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney? Well I tried almost every game shop near me (in the UK) and they didn't have any in stock.
So I decided to do try the online method. I nearly brought the Japanese version since I was buying F-Zero Climax for the GBA (only released in Japan) from playaisa but I decided to order Phoenix Wright from amazon.co.uk instead. I ordered them both at the same time and both sites said they had copies of the game in.
Anyway, after a week wait, a parcel came. "OMG! MY COPY OF PHOENIX WRIGHT HAS COME!" I yelled with happiness only to find my copy of F-Zero Climax (the game from Japan) had arrived first. "WTF!?" I was thinking, how come a game coming from overseas arrive before a game that's in the UK?
I wasn't too upset as I had F-Zero Climax to play with but I decided to find out what was going on with my order. Turns out amazon.co.uk didn't have any copies in and the next batch wasn't coming into next month. <_< I was not happy!
I wouldn't have minded if amazon had sent me an e-mail but instead I had to check my account. So I'm not too keen on using amazon any more. In the end I cancelled my order from amazon and ordered it from play.com instead. Surprisingly, my copy came three days later and that's when I started to like the game.
