Not to be mean to the guy, but that sounds hilarious, especially if said prosecutor is now a nun or a monk, I dunt judge.

Yeah, Yamazaki's team may have imitated several aspects in regards to presentation from the first three AA games in DD, but it's just a marketing maneuver toward nostalgic fans. Outright copy-pasting a plot point of a previous game, however, is too cheap to be applicable in a series like this, which produces games based on quality, rather than quantity. What that quality is can be left to debate, but no one can say with a straight face that Capcom makes a crapton of AA games.

I have to partially disagree with you there. The bombing case did deserve it's own episode and had few ties to the other case. But 5-4 and 5-5? Should have been one episode. They reduced an episode break to a mere act break there, a horrible call.

Except for the part where it's not even remotely related at all. Both chapters were contained in the same game. That's basically what they are; Chapters.

Okay...back to the prosecutor topic again.
I think the guy/girl "monk" prosecutor maybe a bit too "heavenly" in their speech, constantly talking about heaven, spirituality, and karmic judgment comes early to the defendant. Maybe just maybe..this guy/girl is from Apollo's orphanage?

Hmmm..orphanage..monk..Buddhist/East Asian religion..BRB making a sketch of Apollo in Buddhist robe. (I cannot draw)

What. When have we heard of anything spoken by the prosecutor? We don't even know how s/he looks like.

Are you suggesting the prosecutor is a monkey? I would have figured he'd be the monk teaching the monkey... which may turn out to either be Apollo or Phoenix. The other can be the pig.

To be honest, I just want this prosecutor to appear to be so still, silent, and unnoticed that people regularly mistake him for a statue.

Speaking of 5 and 6. What if GS6 would be the first game in the series to have SIX cases not counting with any DLC?

Overkill, perhaps? I mean, AAI2 is pretty darn long and made by the same team. They could divide the story up into more, but more concise cases instead of their usual over-convoluted, labyrinthine and ridiculous order of events per case, and aim to make each case more entertaining. Seriously, AAI2 could've benefited from cutting to the chase sometimes. DD was better, but almost had 6 cases at launch (or 1-2 months after launch) and I don't know how quickly they can make this, but 6 cases would be amazeballs.

I was thinking about the Apollo-Phoenix split and thought of a "fantasy" idea that I know would never happen but I'd love if they did: 7 cases total: three Phoenix cases written by one team, three Apollo cases written by another, and then a final case where the different plot lines come together. There's obviously risk involved where the story could feel disjointed, but I'd still love to see that. It also might be just because I really want Apollo to have an equal role in this game, and I honestly don't really see it happening. I still think Phoenix will probably get 3 and Apollo will get 2. But hey, if there is DLC maybe that could be an Apollo case and then everything's great.

I kind of hope that any DLC will be set after the finale like 1-5. I know its crazy but I do think it would have been weird to go back and play Turnabout Reclaimed after beating 1-5. I loved having it as an additional "filler" case in the middle, but waiting that extra month from October to November to play DD was really hard! :will:

Or they could have every case being written by the same team, but the team being capable of writing two somewhat different storylines that ultimately end up being joined together at the end - like the novel Holes, that basically took 3 separate stories, that all ended up in a circle.

The same team would be even better, but I doubt they'd be able to crank out that many cases for one game, hence why I was thinking two teams. But yeah, a unified vision is always better.

I think it could work if:
A) The team was large enough to be able to "divide" into two teams easily and if the writers consulted each other while coming out with overall plot and structure, making it so that only the individual dialogue is written by different people. Basically how a TV show works: The team comes up with the plot for an episode arc, then different writers take that and write the actual screenplay.

B) They came up with an idea that would actually work in this format. Just doing a bunch of random cases and throwing in a hint at the finale wouldn't cut it; it would have to be a situation where all of the episodes feel self-contained but add to the overall plot progression. Very difficult to do (in fact even right now with the apollo/phoenix route they are going it will be difficult to do that).

That's how all the non-Takumi AA games have been made, actually. Everyone always points to Yamazaki in regards to AAI/AAI2/DD, but he has always had three or four other writers with him from different backgrounds working on each game.
