I can't speak Japanese, but to me, it seems to confirm that Phoenix will be in the Kingdom of Kurain and Apollo will be back in Japanifornia. I think people had only assumed this to be the case up until now, right?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but now that I think about it she always looked womanly in the posters and the DD artwork, like 26 or something, while she looks much more petite and chippier in the game I felt. (and she's bloody 18 years old)

Regarding that possibility, how long after the initial announcement of Dual Destinies was Klaver's inclusion confirmed? Obviously if it was close to 4 months after that could indicate that she will have a small role here but if it happened significantly later in the development that would imply a larger role for Athena.

Agreed. Like I noticed the problem was really intense in PWvsPL with the characters looking bland and emotionless. Fortunately that game had other cool things to save it.
Contrast with DD where I felt the characters were much better and more expressive. From what I've seen of DGS and the work it does with eyes, they only improve in expression.

Henke's right. You just talked about Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, but it's noticeable that Azran Legacy's 3D greatly improved. Miracle Mask's 3D models looked... clunky, awkward, and stiff. Azran Legacy's was much more fluid and polished; even Luke's and Emmy's facial expressions looked more like their original ones and had more life. As for Layton, well... Layton's eyes will always be Layton's eyes xD
PL vs AA's was a lot worse than MM or AL. If it was a problem with the technology, then it would never have improved.

Well, I don't remember when he was announced announced (as in showing us his official art and a little blurb about him) but I remember when he appeared in some screen shots at the end of a trailer and everyone was like "OMG, KLAVIER!" The game was released in July and I think that trailer came out in April, maybe March.

Honestly I hated the 3d models for a different reason. This being that back in the original trilogy when they used 2D sprites I would notice all the small details and appreciate them. Such as in JFA when gumshoe lost his coat and had bandages around his head or in T&T when phoenix drank coffee with godot. For some reason I couldn't seem to appreciate the small things with the 3d models (perhaps because once you create the model you dont have to redraw it when they do a different action so less work was sorta put into it). And they tried to make the 3D models act like the sprites from the trilogy and AJ which felt unnatural. They could have done it a lot better just like how DGS handled their 3d character models.
