In a follow up on our post the other day about Minataur in Australia, forum member Ptapcc has just received his copy of the Art book, and boy is it sweet.

Spoiler: Back Cover

He describes the book as having a nice cover and "feels like sand and marble combined. There is one of those sticky things on the front of it.". If you want to see some pics of the inside Click here to read the memo on Mia-Maya

Now, while this is an exciting release, and I can't wait to get my hands on my own copy, we've got a few things slowing us down. Minataur in Australia where Ptapcc got his copy, only received a shipment of 3 copies. Reports are coming in that Amazon USA's copies, if they haven't already been shipped, have been delayed 4 weeks. Either this means Capcom underestimated the west's interest in this title, or is trying to align the 'real' launch of this book with Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth's release in February.

In any case, lets just consider this an exclusive first look of what's to come.

Thanks Capcom. 'Twas nice of you to bring this stuff Westward.

Oh, and before I forget, OCRemix updated recently with a cool Phoenix Wright Remix called Trance Turnabout. Now, I'm not a fan of Trance Music in general, but this is especially well done. And, I think listening to it, I hear some influences by the Magical Trick Society, they've got good taste.

Reading over my post sounds funny as I was too excited while posting it but yeah, it has a really nice texture. That sticky thing is in fact a plastic print of a GS2 official artwork stuck onto the cover. It reminds me of the Deltora Quest series and how the had something similar...

Cool, my CR brother got mentioned on the homepage. :maya:

They only had 3 copies in the shop? That's a bit bad, isn't it? You'd have thought they'd get more in than that. :lana:

And uh, does anyone know if there's going to be a European release anytime soon?

I freaked out a bit when you said that as I forgot we are siblings on the CR Tree :payne:

Yeah 3 copies at Minotaur. I got one and some other two lucky people got the rest. Next shipment comes in two weeks apparently.

No date at the moment according to Amazon UK. Your best bet is waiting or pre-ordering it from a manga/anime store like I did :karma:

I think you were one of the lucky few to sneak a copy before it was released. Maybe it's just NZ, but it's not available till next month. I guess I need to look forward to playing Ace investigation while I read this for the first time ^^;

Or Australia simply got a release before all of you. I don't think Udon would delay it when they released it to all the manga and general stores in Australia.

Though it is odd. Today is January 20th and the US and UK were due to have the artbook released today. It was delayed unexpectadely so something is odd.

But supporting my previous theory, Minotaur and several other stores all said that it was in stock. Every non Australian site said Pre-order now, Ready to ship or coming soon.

..............

On a more relevant topic notice, the artbook is definitely a good buy. I love all the Trucy pictures. If LawfulMagician reads this then you have to buy this book no matter what. You never notice but when looking at the art version of the sprites, there are tiny details that go unnoticed.

For example: Young Trucy has two small red blushes under her eyes. I never noticed with the sprites.

No love for the remix here, I see. Boo, audio gets ignored again for pretty pictures. Boooooo.

I kid. ANYWAY:

DAMN that remix is seriously tight shit, check it out guys! :D

It's also not the only one on the site.
Does we even do these things anymore?

hey people, this is my first post, just registered because I wanted to share this with you...

I just found the artbook on play.com, which is interesting for all european fans. They say it can be delivered in 6-8 weeks. I have no idea what I should think about that, but I ordered it now.
It said nothing about pre-ordering, so it is out, just not available.

Look for yourselves

also, hi I'm from Germany, nice to meet you

I got this book yesterday (1/20) and I'm in the US. I assume it's because I pre-ordered it so early from Amazon. Mine didn't come shrink-wrapped, but it's the same book. I was expecting more commentary-esque stuff, but aside from the Apollo Justice section, the regular ol' Ace Attorney character images and bios don't really say anything 'secret' about the characters, as CR or somewhere mentioned before.

Still, a very very nice artbook that looks and feels like something to preserve carefully. :)

I'm psyched, because my copy just got shipped from Borders last night. I checked my inbox this morning, and the email made my day! It should be here anytime from tomorrow to early next week. Can't wait!

Notes

*The screenshot graphics above the comments from the artists who created the characters are still in Japanese...
* There is a typo before the Apollo Justice section with the small chibi characters. The Blue Badger is not Pearl Fey.

My dad informed me this morning that a copy of the artbook arrived yesterday.

Apparently he had ordered it for me as a Christmas present but it only arrived just now. I wasn't even expecting it.

I just got mine today and read all of it. Some characters don't get much art devoted to them at all, but I guess that's to be expected (?). Also, there are a few typos here and there, but nothing terrible, it's the art we care about, right? It's worth the money just to not have to get on your computer whenever you want to see this stuff.

I got my artbook in the mail today!

Spoiler: Just a few things.
1. A picture of the Blue Badger was captioned as "Pearl Fey.

2. The illustration of Trucy holding Apollo and Klavier's arms together made me ship them.

3. Maya's chin! It's a fucking square!
