The official US box-art. No doubts the European one will look exactly the same.

Ace Attorney fans have been really enthusiastic about Layton vs Ace Attorney those past few days, but that's not a reason to forget about Ghost Trick, Shu Takumi's (Ace Attorney creator) new game! Indeed, the game is finally going to be released in early January 2011 outside Japan. To be more precise: on the 11th of January in the US, and on the 14th in Europe. That's pretty much the same thing as for Ace Attorney Investigation, except that this time, Nintendo is the distributor (at least in Europe). That also means the game will get a bit more advertised than AAI was, as they're the ones who will advertise the game in Europe.

I agree, I'm not really a fan of the boxart either... couldn't they have kept the Japanese one?
Well, at least the game's coming to us! Better than no game at all, that's for sure.
And I have to admit, the timing's just perfect. I'll have more than enough time to beat this game before Portal 2 comes out.

Apparently it also gets a German localization (which means probably a Spanish, French, Italian too) but I am concerned, that I can't find the game on Amazon.de or Amazon.co.uk.
I really like the new box art, much better than the Japanese one.

It's a pity Capcom didn't treat AAI as they are treating GT. Both games had close US and EU dates, but GT is being fully localized for all European regions (Multi-5, at least), and, still, has an European release 3 days after the American one. Why couldn't Capcom do this with AAI?

Well, at least we have this, and we can expect something similar for AAI2.

The box art doesn't bother me too much =] I'll be excited to see this in the States/the West! I played the Japanese demo a while back and I had a lot of fun with it, despite not totally knowing what was going on ^o^

I think I like the US/EU box art better, but both are fine.
I'm excited to play the game, but I probably wont buy it for a few months after release. Still saving up for a 3DS.

Lulyz Boxart, though, the game should be good, the Box Art is just a way for customers to catch the eye, however we'll know more about this game than some random customers, but I'll get it anyway :)

Actually, it's just a special offer (a bundle), where you can get both games for only 39.99$, meaning GS1 costs only 10$ if you buy it with Ghost Trick. Here's the game alone, without GS1.

Still, it's a great offer for those who haven't purchased GS1 yet (as it's now impossible to find a new copy), without having to buy a used one... and frankly, 10$ for GS1 new, that's a great deal, for sure. :gant:

Actually, $10 is the price of the game on Wii Ware. wish I hadnt already bought all the games for the DS :yuusaku:

Sure, but the DS version is way better than the WiiWare version (GBA graphics on TV= sucks, especially on HDTVs, no touch screen, no double screen, etc...), though apparently the Iphone version, which is even cheaper, is also great (though I can't say anything about it, haven't tested it myself).

I've played the iPhone version (the first AA I played) and it looked and played great.
