Definitely hitting up the entire Nintendo conference - I'll also try to record it so that we can get a replay if they show off any PLvsAA (or if that AA5 rumor winds up being true after all.)

Capcom doesn't stream their conference, I don't think, but it's usually liveblogged, and I should be able to stick around through the PLvsAA presentation. (8:50 classes the next day? Who cares? :keiko: )

The public presentation I imagine will be preceded by an official site update, and I doubt they'll stream it anyways. (I'd be happy to be wrong though.)

I'd be happy to. I like to play amateur newshound anyways, as I imagine you've noticed.

I'm sure JapaneseGIRL will also be keeping close tabs on things, but even still I'd be glad to summarize things for C-R's front page if she gets the news ahead of me and/or finds things I miss.

Pardon me for asking, but is there a place where can I watch the conference live on? Is it on the Japanese official web...? Sorry, I'm new to this. 8D

You can watch the Nintendo Conference at http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/conference2011/index.html

TGS on the other hand... when they say it's press only, that often means that the press gets 24 hours or so to do a 'proper' edited write up. After the embargo is up they're free to post what they saw. I don't know if there's an embargo in place for Layton vs Ace Attorney at TGS, but it's not unheard of for private showings.

Some people don't believe in journalistic integrity and post what they learned anyways. That's the stuff we scoop up. If we're lucky, someone will be live blogging the VS booth. If not... well... I'm sure we'll get a sketchy summery within 18 hours... and then after the real presentation hits, we can get the whole truth... and then be somewhat board because it'll be somewhat the same as what we learned the day before. But that's TGS!

And Bolt, you should see the new topic button in Trial Minutes. Use it well.

Thanks! I promise not to go on a power-mad topic-creation spree if at all possible.

Also, not to be that guy, but you misspelled "schedule" in the OP.

Annoyingly, I'm in the UK, and all of this is in the week I'm going back to college (or 'high school' to you). I COULD stay up to watch but I would regret it. I could also go to sleep at normal time, wake myself up at 4 in the morning to quickly check it out then go back to sleep, but if there's any good news, which I'm sure there will be, then going back to sleep will be too hard...

Staying up late today for the 3DS Conference, it's actually not that late for me (midnight), unless it ends up lasting 2 hours. Which I highly doubt, but how awesome would that be, huh?

Anyway, CRians, rest assured: if GS5 is announced tonight, you'll be first to know. Just look for the topic called "HOLY SHIT THEY JUST ACTUALLY ANNOUNCED GS5".

Not if GS5 "ends up being true", just if GS5 "ends up being true and is announced tonight", which is basically the same. So yes, in around 3 hours. Well, at least, the event kicks off in 3 hours, who knows how long the announcements'll take.

Just a reminder, fellas: don't be too hyped up about this 3DS Conference regarding GS5. It is, after all, a rumor from 2ch, which, as it's been repeated thoroughly these last days, could either be completely spot-on or 100% bull. Don't be too disappointed if GS5 isn't announced tonight, because, come on, nobody actually said it would be!

Still, it would be the best suprise ever.

Not necessarily, it's more "If the 2Chan'er is right, then GS5 will be teased tonight". In reality, assuming it's a project at all, it could be shown tonight, as a footnote at the VS keynote, or even on the 10th anniversary... whenever that is.

Then there's the simple reality that it might not exist.

If GS5 is real (which I seriously doubt - it's a 2ch rumor, for crying out loud) I imagine it would be only briefly shown tonight (eg. during a 3rd party sizzle reel) and then be shown in Famitsu. But again, don't put too much stock in it - if there's any AA representation at tonight's conference, it's more likely to be something from PLvsAA.

Famitsu releases Thursdays, but leaks generally occur early Wednesday in Japan, which translates to Tuesday evenings in America.

They had a sequence showing a LOT of unreleased 3DS games... I didn't notice GS5 in there... but there were too many at once to catch reliably. I DID see FFV and FFVI remade.

And... something that LOOKS like Elite Beat Agents... but in a different art style. But I had all of a half a second to look at it.

I believe the FFV/FFVI thing was the same as the EBA thing - a new Final Fantasy rhythm game called Theatrhythm. I didn't see any new games in that lineup, actually.

If there was one game that would justify me getting a 3DS... Fire Emblem 3DS would be it. Strange 2 on 2 combat. I wonder how that works. It happened too fast for me to make sense of it.

This conference was kind of a letdown. I wasn't expecting GS5 or PLvGS, but I was hoping for a brand new Nintendo IP.

Fire Emblem does look cool, though. Maybe they'll be nice about that one and bring it overseas.

I dunno. I liked the conference. At least, I enjoyed it MUCH more then the E3 one. And that's saying something since E3 was in English.

Well the underwater combat is important, it's a oneup on Monster Hunter Portable 3rd which couldn't include that mechanic plus it allows more monsters.

Also because it's "G" does that mean it's the equivalent of Unite? Seeing as Monster hunter 2 Portable G became Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

Skepticism engaged!

I don't like the art style. Also I hope some of the scenes aren't as quiet as that.
