Introducing CyTube

We’ve recently installed a program called CyTube. This playback system allows us to play synchronized videos from YouTube and other video sites, so you can chat while watching videos. It also accepts live streams. Right now, the plan is to listen to suggestions from our userbase for what is playing at any given time. While we’re aiming for a general Ace Attorney theme, we’re not planning on sticking exclusively to it.

We’re open to such things as Let’s Plays, livestreams, movies, cartoons (please make sure showing them is legal, though), music, and just general videos. Perhaps every now and then, we’ll be able to host something akin to a “movie night.” It all depends on what the final product looks like and how many people take an interest in the site.

Right now, we’ve only got one channel set up, but if the need for more arises, we can definitely add more. The plan is to gauge interest first, so for the next month, we’re testing it out to see how many people take an interest in using it.

I'm interested in this, but what do you mean by "Interested other than posting in this topic?" do you mean as in... Helping with it or something?
Anyway, I'm psyched to watch Let's Plays or something on it.

Yup, we are looking for people interested in providing content. Such as scheduled events, be it just selected videos or live streaming and suggestions for content to put in the permanent playlist.

I think we would do best with having a set theme for each month, and each week we would have a different person do a stream.

Also, having a "master of ceremonies" would iron out some of the confusion.
I don't imagine a general admin or a code guy like yourself should need to be bogged down with the scheduling and such.

I'll do a little research into the site and see if I can learn anything.

That's a very good idea ! That makes a good thing to see others on YouTube. I'm kind of fond of new channels to watch. I have done mine ! =)

I don't think having the same guy do everything for an entire week is a good idea. Short slots of a couple hours that happen each week is probably better.

Since interest have been lukewarm, I will do the first scheduled show. The fun starts at 18:00 UTC+0 (a little over three hours from this post). What am I going to show? Tool assisted speedruns. I've got some great stuff lined up, such as the ones I showed before on Monday. There is going to be something for everyone.
