 Famitsu has announced a port of Professor Layton and the Curious Village will be coming to smartphones soon under the title ‘Professor Layton and the Curious Village EX HD’ (a bit of a mouthful, if you ask me). You can visit the website at http://www.layton.jp/fushigi-app/, or just view the trailer at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEsq1eF7xB4 There has been no word yet on an English release. Oh, that's nice, I guess. Hopefully this should soon confirm the mobile port of PLvsAA. |

It's nice to see we're getting an updated version but I do have to wonder if there will be ports to other devices at some point in the future. |

Pretty cool that this game is finally getting a port, hopefully it signals more to come. |

Ahh nice! (judging by the famitsu preview I'm guessing they're using HD versions of the game's sprites). I think it would've looked nice if they re-did it in 3D, but I guess this is probably to get people into the original games who were introduced to the series via the Layton anime. (I still want a Mystery Room 2. I loved Mystery room and I wanna see Lucy return XD) |

This is fantastic news. Hopefully this paves the way for a full Layton trilogy port to 3DS/Switch. |
