I liked Jeff for the same reasons: he was immature, selfish, and whiny, but he was dynamic in that he actually listened to Kyle and admitted that he screwed up.
He just felt so realistic. 'Cause I mean, there are obnoxious jerks in the world. And some of them are young, handsome, rich, and stupid, and Jeff was a good representation of that.
He's not a stereotypically handsome, charming young gentleman like you see often in games -- he was dislikable! Yay, character variety! But he had the good sense to realize that he did something ridiculous too.
So yeah ... he was refreshing, in a way!
