I was working on the next CR forum banner, when I stumbled upon this little gem…

http://hobohodo.court-records.net/rips/ ... orama.html

Kinda cool! Though there's a total lack of exits. Maybe Case 1 goes like this.

Villain is locked in the courtroom.
The Idiots who built the place didn't install any doors.
Villain blows a hole in the ceiling, and then jetpacks to safety!

Lack of exits? Aren't we just viewing this in the same perspective as if we were standing in the courtroom doorway? At least that's how I see it.

You'd think that, but the left and right sides line up perfectly. There is no doorway!

Perfectly symmetrical design? OCD-ridden architect, maybe?

I mean, how the hell would one get IN there. Unless... UNLESS THE VILLAIN... BUILT THE COURTROOM AND... AND THEN BLEW IT UP!

It's too perfect. Maybe I should have spoiler-tagged it!?

OH GOD SORRY GUYS D:>

Can anyone actually charge you with destroying something you built yourself, assuming noone else gets hurt or loses anything? Any actual lawyers in the room?

Well, ignoring the whole "Explosives" thing, it might be illegal if you did it on 'not your property'.

Perhaps… to pull it off so well… He… he must have… HE STOLE THE REAL COURTROOM, BUILT A NEW ONE WITHOUT EXITS TO TRAP HIMSELF WITH, AND THEN BLEW IT UP.

The terrorist is a distraction! Our courtroom's been stolen!

Well, it is less hassle to build yourself a building and blow it up rather than to tunnel from underneath to enter an otherwise inaccessible building. Clearly this guy is a genius with a lot of free time.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

What about those doors behind the judge's bench? They look completely intact. In fact, it looks like someone just used a wrecking ball from above.

Maybe that's the twist. It's not a real bomb! And enter in UFO kidnapping speculations

Or the bomb was planted from above and the explosion's radius blew somethings below it while the debris fell atop things and broke them. :lana:

I guess that goes to show how the police do their work: arrest first, investigate later. How could a high school student even obtain detonations like that? I may be jumping to conclusions, but given one of the screenshots with a piece of testimony (and the mentality system), it seems to imply she almost became a victim of the blast. Apparently, the case 1 murderer is a rehash of Sahwit, with the framing and all.

But I digress. Jetpacks are indeed much more stylish.

Don't we always get a reason in-game as to why they arrest their own suspect?

Dark days are coming for law.

It's a tradition to know who the culprit is during the first case, seeing as how it's always the tutorial case. Although there are its exceptions, it's still somewhat of a tradition.

I'm not sure what you mean by "own suspect," but yes, and it typically comes to "she was the only one found at the crime scene, so she must be the culprit!" But maybe the police have been so busy investigating another case that they overlooked some things here?

Not on Nick's watch.

Actually, I was referring to the culprit's confirmed lines: "If I make it look like it's all that girl's fault..." and the evil sneer, naturally. This is the first time someone dares to use explosives, though. You'd think that after so long, police regulations on obtaining weapons would be strictly reinforced.

...Unless, that's exactly what Nick was talking about when he mentioned those "dark days." Uh-oh.

As in "who the police believe is the culprit".

That's what I meant.

They've always been incompetent and/or corrupted.

That sounds a lot like what Frank Sawhit said after he murdered Cindy Stone. I can practically see it: when you go to celebrate to Miss Yellow's office, she gets murdered. :lana:

Homicides have occurred in court before, what he means is that it'll get even darker.

And suddenly, Apollo returns to Wright's side as the assistant. WHAT have you done, Apo- Erm, I mean, of course it's someone else. I hear he's been depressed after hearing the news of Nick's revival. Poor guy.

But really, nah. If anyone close to Nick is getting murdered... it won't be like Mia's. That's all I'll say on that. Speaking of that girl, I can't stop seeing her as Emmy Altava from the Layton games. A bright-eyed assistant who just one day pops in and introduces herself? Check. And she's skilled in kyudo? Emmy knows how to roundhouse-kick people. Plus, they both wear similarly styled clothing (aside from the tie-jacket combo). It's more than a coincidence!... maybe.

Hm, have we sufficiently dragged this thread off-topic?

The courtroom was partially destroyed in the earthquake in DL-6...it's a long shot but maybe they're related?
